Can't be Moyes, He took over n Utd team that was in the running for league title but left them as a sad case.

Out of 912 games he's won just over 300 of them. 42% win rate or something he has, not good enough. Moyes will be known as the man who blew the ten.

Not saying he's my choice but his record is prob better than van jaal and Jose and wee solkjaer.

He’s managed in a very competitive league and probably over produced most of the time.
As for his win rate probably better than most managers who have left Celtic and went on to manage down south.

Think he’d be safe pair of hands but not particularly exciting.

Wulie10, I think he'll be the man that blew 9 never mind 10.

Moyes was thrown under a bus at Man U. If Lennon is given the job the we won't make it 9.

21 May 2019 17:11:46
Behave bhoys anyone here could lead us to ten. It’s someone whose going to make us better that we should be looking for but we won’t blow ten.

Ronny Deila has better win ratio than Moyes.

Not defending Moyes at all and he wouldn't be my choice but to judge on his time at Man Utd would be harsh IMO! It was an impossible task taking over rite after Ferguson and he was given very little time to do the job! Van gall Jose and Solskjaer have proven how difficult a job that is! My main gripe with Moyes is whenever he’s asked about taking over as Celtic manager it’s as if he would be doing us a favour by gracing us with his presence and he mite fancy it if nothing better comes along! He’s won absolutely bugger all and was known at Everton for making his teams hard to beat! Hardly inspiring given the way we want to play! Just something in me tells me he ain’t the right fit to manage our club! Would rather we stuck with Lenny if Moyes coming in is our other option!

1st time poster guys, just passing on what I was told.

Tommy Burns' daughter (gaffer in my work) told us that Paul Lawell said Benitez has agreed terms on wages and budget. He's speaking with Newcastle and if he doesn't get what he wants, this week, he will be announced after cup final.

22 May 2019 11:10:09
Have you not been watching the latest news Andy? Benitez has agreed to stay at Newcastle. HH.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 May 2019 12:22:46
Rafa has not said he is staying at Newcastle, talks are still ongoing over transfer budgets and other things.

22 May 2019 12:56:04
@BobTheCat - I've not seen anything from a reliable source, that indicates or confirms Benitez is staying at Newcastle. He may well do, just passing on the info that I was given.

TB's daughter was openly telling all the lads in work about this and confirmed where she had gotten the info.

Time will tell if it is true I suppose.
HH.

Benitez is pie in the sky. Couldn’t think of a less likely candidate other than Klopp or Guardiola. Obviously he’s nowhere near that calibre or manager but would never come as the only way he would be available is if Newcastle board or Ashley more like don’t agree to him being able to spend a certain amount and it been players over a certain age.
Our boards model is very similar but spend even less. He wouldn’t be paid £3m a year either and it would be a disaster if somehow a deal could be struck.
What does he know about buying really cheap players or the Scottish league?
Has to be Lenny nobody else fills me with any optimism Lennon at least knows how to win in Europe and has good transfer record albeit recent performances have been a bit stale.

Guy that comes into my work just told me it's moyes dof and Lennon as head coach.

20 May 2019 12:06:14
Is head coach manager aswell Kev?

Agree0 Disagree0

20 May 2019 12:16:39
Way he's talking there ain't going to be a manager, like they do in europe. Head coach deals with first team affairs only, picking team, training ect ect.

Agree0 Disagree3

20 May 2019 12:27:41
So that means in this case Moyes deals with transfers and such?

Would explain why Moyes has been around us a lot lately.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 May 2019 12:36:17
Wouldn't be the worst thing. Two people that know Scottish football and the importance of winning the league, not coming second. I think we should give gers the 3 euro asking price for morelos as well🤣🤣.

Agree1 Disagree0

20 May 2019 12:56:09
I think that would be terrible IMO.

20 May 2019 13:59:13
Moyes as a director of football is something I couldn't say was good or bad as he's never done it.
If it's the managers job then I depends what you want for our club

If it is just a steady pair of hands, steady but uninspiring then moyes is your man.
He's done nothing of note. Never won a thing. His teams have never had the wow factor.
People talk about his Everton team but they just like him were never more than a run of mile steady team.

20 May 2019 14:47:26
You sound like an article I’ve just read Kev.

20 May 2019 15:06:02
Not the appointment most fans hoped for and certainly not (if it happens) one that will raise the roof and deflate opponents like what happened on May 20th 2016. who'd have bet on a Paira Gingies?

Agree0 Disagree0

20 May 2019 15:30:23
Believe it or not I hadn't read that article until after I posted Welsh. They were the words my old man said to me couple weeks ago.

Rodgers hasn't won a thing and he did ok personally not too excited if true. this could be gearing up for a big announcement on Fri before cup final. cue timplosion.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 May 2019 15:50:02
Mally Rodgers was a baw hair away from winning the EPL in a fantastic season for Liverpool. In something like 11 years moyes made one final. At the same time teams like Wigan were winning cups and millwall were making finals.
Moyes is a plod along manager. That's it.

20 May 2019 16:01:22
Fu*k th*t.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 May 2019 16:05:12
Nearly won something so by that reckoning the Wigan manager is better than Rodgers and moyes.

Agree3 Disagree0

20 May 2019 16:12:42
The Wigan manager is now the manager of Belgium Mally and is have him over moyes any day
Ad say second place harder to get to than any English cup final.

20 May 2019 16:33:15
Martinez would do me to kev but it ain't going to happen.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 May 2019 18:49:48
does anyone think Lennon would have the temperament to work under a DOF, I personally don't especially after working as the Manager previously.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 May 2019 21:29:11
To me the DOF is just to many chiefs too many bosses. But if the relationship between board and Rodgers was strained then it could be a good thing to have that buffer boy between manager and board.

21 May 2019 14:38:30
Season ticket for sale if moyes is at the club.

Been told by one of my mates at celtic he heard they've submitted a bid for the bristol city striker diedhiou never heard of him but looks like dembele.

But acts like Diouf, got a 6 match ban for spitting on an opponent, not what we want at Celtic.

Its all but done, also he said a scout was at charltons playoff game can only think its for bielik whos on loan from arsenal.

If it's a done deal warrior I wonder how much we are paying, he was Bristol's record signing at 5.3 million.

So Moyes is today's new bookie favourite, I really hope not 🙄.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Can’t understand all the negativity around Davey Moyes, he’s done well at most of his previous posts, hand picked for Man Utd by Fergi, his record was decent and compares favourably with LVG and Jose, he we have us well organised and he is high profile manager who knows the club, can spot a player, got good contacts at top flight English clubs and knows what going for 9/ 10 IAR is all about, IMHO we are daydreaming of Jose, Rafa, AVB types that are fantasy managers, Moyes ticks a lot of boxes for what we need moving forward.
