joking over now Ed lol

read a goalkeeper post from today
whats the situation with Fraser
how long has his Newcastle contract got to go? is it worth waiting till he becomes pre agrement ?Dom Cervi due back from Morton this month good keeper to and wouldnt like to see him leave so would Lukasz not be one to maybe move on ?

Bhaldrick {Ed007's Note - Forster's Newcastle contract runs until summer 2014 mate. I think Zaluska will be one of the players available this month, he is another one who's contract is up in the summer.}

Believable1 Unbelievable1

What about Dom Cervi? i rate the guy and i think his loan at Morton ends this month what the state of play with his contract?

Bhaldrick {Ed007's Note - Expires in the summer as well mate. I expect him to be offered an extension.}

Agree0 Disagree2

Hope so as the last few years IMO we let a few go to soon.I had big hopes for Michael Tidser,saying that and im sure you'll back me up our youngster are the best we have had in years ,Toshney,Fraser,Slane,and the two Czech boys to name but a few.well worth going to watch to all Celtic fans out there that havent checked the team out yet

Bhaldrick {Ed007's Note - As a group the youth players are the best seen in Scotland for years.}

Agree2 Disagree1

Why do the youth teams all play mostly at times when most of us are are work, go along to games when they play them at parkhead but 1pm games on mon aren't good , be good if these games could be mon nights at 7:45 , let fans get along , at say Albion rovers ground,

Agree5 Disagree0

Didnt zaluska just get offered a new contract? and he seems to be a big character in the dressing room alot off players seem to like him {Ed007's Note - It's not signed yet. I think he might be looking for regular first team football at his age.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed we're not going to sell mark wilson are we? i'd be gutted if he left
I dont think matthews is the right guy for us he is a good player but he hasnt got the spirit {Ed007's Note - Wilson will leave in this window or for free in the summer. His contract is up anyway. I think Matthews is a fantastic player.}

Believable3 Unbelievable13

Mathews is quality and will play for top 5 team in england one day. wilson is a good player but how often is he injured.

Agree16 Disagree1

Dont want wilson to leave very very solid would try and keep him

Agree10 Disagree6

Id rather cha left and used Wilson sparingly when Matthews is injured or suspended but as the guys said Wilson is out a contract come the summer. {Ed007's Note - So is Cha. I would expect both of them to move on now or the summer. Lustig and Matthews will fight for the RB slot IMO unless one of the EPL clubs move for Matthews in the summer. He is one of the many RBs on LFC's radar to replace Glen Johnson who is very surplus to requirements because of his wage and contract terms.}

Agree6 Disagree1

I like Matthews, my only worry is how long we'll hang onto him ! - Mrs E

Agree9 Disagree0

Agreed,mathews is a fantastic prospect n his sell on will be enormous but i think wilson might sign another deal as he's a real celtic man n wont be looking for mad money n he's good cover as he can play a lot of positions'depends how he comes back from his surgery. green jhedi {Ed007's Note - I like Wilson but injuries have wrecked his time here.}

Agree5 Disagree3

Ed: agreed mate,but if his surgery was succesfull i think he would like to stay even as cover,young adam will still need to be rested occ n wilson n lustig wil be good cover.the seasons are getting longer. green jhedi {Ed007's Note - I would like Wilson to stay as back up.}

Agree2 Disagree1

Think he will,better go mrs jhedi is a bit frisky!! night ed,have a good one. {Ed007's Note - Lol Night Jhedi mate. Have fun :-)

Agree2 Disagree1

I honestly think we will struggle to hold on to mathews the boy is a class player no doubt

Hi ed I was told tonight that rangers have stolen a march on us for the signature of the boy salihi! They supposedly steped up there pursuit when jellyfishes agent told the club there are 3 clubs going to submit solid bids for him this week and a sale should be done soon! Have you heard anything on this? Pickle {Ed007's Note - I've not heard anything about it, sorry.}

Believable2 Unbelievable5

They can have him, I'm sure if neil wanted him at the bargain price he'd be here just now

Agree1 Disagree2

Sahili was valued at half a mill come on lawell and desmond get the cheque book out

Agree1 Disagree2

"Jellyfish" another currant bun on our site me thinks .

Hey Ed hows u? Have u any updates on any one coming in ie salihi,templeton or anyone else.i understand forster will sign permanantly, n also southampton give up on hooper

Celticthomas {Ed007's Note - I have no news of incomings but you are right that CFC want to tie up a deal for Forster. I said in an earlier post that Southampton have dropped their interest in Hooper. They have been told he is not for sale.}

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Southampton have not dropped their interest in Hooper both Celtic and Southampton are playing a game here...Lennon keeps bringing the subject up to get publicity and now Southampton have called their bluff by not bidding this week.
Expect a bid in region of 8 million to come in the weekend and Celtic to accept.
#Confident {Ed007's Note - Southampton have made a bid this week, their second.}

Agree2 Disagree16

Sounds like ha hopeful Bear.
David

Agree7 Disagree4

ED ... they made that lastweek.... trust me no bid has come in this week.
#Confident {Ed007's Note - Nah, I'll trust who told me but thanks anyway.}

Agree2 Disagree3

Glad to hear that good stuff!! Had to keep the hooperman. We don't Sell our best players. Unlike "some" other teams out there !
Cb

Agree4 Disagree3

Ed ... no disrespect but whoever told you is incorrect ..Southampton last bid was last friday not this week. #Confident {Ed007's Note - No disrespect to you but you are boring me now. I am not getting involved in a petty argument with you. The bid this week is well known in English footballing circles. #givemepeace

Agree3 Disagree4

Heard Leicester to come in with a £10m bid. and Jellyfish in talks with west ham

Agree2 Disagree8

Southampton in all press outlets confirm they've dropped interest in Hooper. Why? Because for the last time, he's not for sale! If he was they would be still in the race to sign him but as the race is not on, they're no signing him. Stop all the nonsense lads and get a life

Agree6 Disagree2

Every player is for sale at a price!

Agree2 Disagree2

As the great Craig Burley said "Hooper to Southampton........he's better than that!"

news from the dark side! darren mackie at mordor? celik still hznt signed? from a blue mate but dnt know if its true. ed: you da man! green jhedi {Ed007's Note - He has signed as far as I know. I have also been told that Southampton have dropped interest in Hooper. Nigel Adkins has said that CFC are not willing to sell him so that's an end to it.}

Believable3 Unbelievable3

I dont know why you would want to play for celtic, or play football in scotland. standard is championship level tops. look through the celtic first time its made up of english footballs rejects. footballers that are not good enough for the championship or the premier league {Ed007's Note - And the EPL teams are made up of 'rejects' from Scotland, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Africa, USA (loans I might add,how desperate is that??), Holland, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina etc etc Will I go on or will we talk about how good the English managers are doing in the 'Best League in the World'?}

Agree5 Disagree8

Darren Mackie for the Shame? I very much doubt that one. But would be well funny if they were up for him.
Cb

Agree2 Disagree2

To the above poster: When did Wanyama, Kayal, Forrest, Tony Stokes, or half the squad ever play in England?
sean1888

Agree5 Disagree2

Tony stokes did play in engald (Arsenal then Sunderland) but the point is a valid one. There are lots of 'experts' who post about Scottish football without even watching it and this guy is no different. Celtic would hump Saints and that is the opinion of my mate comes from Southampton and watches both teams regularly.

Good to see that we are aiming to make Fraser Forster permanent and with big Dom at Morton on loan gaining good experience hopefully that will secure that position for years to come.also good to see Connor Fairley performing well at his new club as i thought he was one for the future with us.

Believable10 Unbelievable7

The sooner we get FF signed up the better.
Don't want any hitches coming to bit us on the ass if we don't get this one right.

Agree6 Disagree4

Few people don't rate him but think the big guy is a crackin keeper. Is young enough to improve on any faults he has and will only get better. Clear out the dead wood and give Newcastle the £2m just now.

Agree6 Disagree2

He's settled down and established himself. I had my doubts last year but he's got loads of potential to get even better.

How satisfying is it that we have a very young squad.

Richybhoy

I take it the person who disagreed with my post is the same person who thinks wibbly wobbly Jela is worth 10m hahah

Just seen on the leicester city and southampton pages that leicester city are going to bid 10 million for hooper. So does that make him better than Jellyfish as the alledgedly only offered them 9.5 million.

Ian

Believable11 Unbelievable17

Hooper wants to stay and has also said he would like to extend his contract with us.Lenny has said he is adament hooper is staying.Hooper came here from the championship to further his carrer so why would he want to take a step back by going to a chanpionship team.

Bhaldrick

Agree11 Disagree3

Nobody is leaving the SPL for that amount of money. Simply wont happen. Jellyfish is more likely to warrant that level of cash simply for the fact that they paid over £4m for him.. so would make sense.

In the eyes of other clubs looking in to our league.. they aint going in to double figure millions to buy someone from SPL.

Agree5 Disagree14

Noticed you didn't have the balls to leave your name you spineless maggot. I don't believe you support our famous club or indeed any other team in Scotland. Probably a supporter of some back water, under achieving english team just happy to take the tv money and then justify in your empty head that you are bigger than Celtic. You would sh@t yourself if the mighty hoops ever got on a level financial playing field.

There are players at CP worth that sort of money and mOre... Don't believe the hype about your English leagues, merely kept inflated by murdochs coffers.

Jim Dhoc

Agree13 Disagree2

Ian, where did you hear about this £10m bid? Yep thats right, a rumours page. There will NEVER be a £10m bid for Hooper...............

TTG

Agree4 Disagree6

If we get £10m then we will take it, no doubt but dont think we will get that.

Agree6 Disagree4

I think for that kind of money the highheidyins at CP would be cashing in.

Would be impossible to see them not doing so, but I sure hope I'm wrong especially as our prime target (Diawara) has gone.
Plan B never seems to work for us.. see Bangura!
HH

Agree1 Disagree0

The guy that says " Jellyfish is more likely to warrant that level of cash simply for the fact they paid over 4m for him ."
Just because someone pays 4 mil for a player doesnt warrant doubling your money i.e . Tore Andre Flo . So your post doesnt make sense and the fact you used the name Jellyfish and not Jellylegs in my book points to you being a currant bun .
Younger , Fitter , Better .
CelticMatt

Agree8 Disagree5

I think we shoulndn't call him jellylegs or jellyfish caus jellypi5h sounds better!

BarryBhoy

Agree13 Disagree3

Come on he is a decent player, we can admit that cant we then again....Nah its much more fun calling him Jellypi5h!
