STV have announced that the Simunovic deal is done but as yet Celtic haven't, could that be because we are waiting so we can announce a double deal? Doubt it but fingers crossed!

No it will be to hold off to last minute so it looks like we've pulled off this deal! Deflecting the attention from the fact we all wanted another striker! It classic Lawell! if griffiths gets injured by the way!

Dh88: If Griffiths gets injured we're bang out of luck. But then, you can't really say its luck: its a gamble and a poor one by the board.

The transfer window just makes things more difficult in Europe for so-called selling clubs. Some parity in the system much needed.

So the mystery striker we was all looking forward to was Stokes. Its a mystery he's still there!

Just seen on a Croatian site, it saying Simunovic has moved to Scotland.

Dinamo defender Jozo Šimunović, a member of Croatia U-21 national team, moves to Scottish champions Celtic.

Šimunović made his way through Dinamo youth ranks and became a part of the senior squad, and made eight appearances for Croatian U-21, scoring once.

Not sure if its a done deal just sharing what I read, if that's ok with Ed?

Any truth in Celtic knocking back Boltons loan offer for Stokes? Think I'm signing off for tonight as I can see it being a disappointing night we will have got rid of the better players and stuck with the deadwood and no replacements

They couldn't match his wages or the transfer fee

Not a chance he said he'll sit in the reserves and pick up his wage pack till January just seen on the TV he will not be moving at all. Celtic won't sign anyone not even jozo simonovic. I hope am wrong but can't see it.

Ed do you know whts happening with the simunovic deal

{Ed007's Note - It sounds like some red tape is holding up the deal being announced.}

More like typical Celtic. "We couldn't get anyone else in as we were concentrating on that deal". They did the same with Griffiths in Jan 2014. Deal was agreed with Wolves weeks before but finally signed him at 11pm on the last day of the window.

Do u expect it to go through ed?

Pistol Pete taped his hands behind his back so he can't sign before the deadline and use the usual excuses?

Is the deal done though Ed just worried we are going to get left sort at the back with big Virgil away all the best to him by the way he'll be in one of the top four in a couple of seasons guaranteed.

Surely this deal won't collapse Ed? What's the read tape? Lawwell lost his bank card?

I think if we don't sign a CB in this window some serious questions will have to be asked about the board. We also need a CF and an attacking midfield player but won't hold my breath for that

01 Sep 2015 20:49:05
If this doesn't go through I will be effing fuming! I'm guessing many other fans in the same boat. Yes I understand and appreciate the financial constraints - BUT selling out best players for huge money and getting crap in like balde, pukki and missing out on champions league because of it is unforgivable!!!

Eoghan O'Connell gone.

I thought in my opinion this boy was ready for first team. Should have been given his chance.

Spoke with a friend in Zagreb he supports dinamo but has Celtic as his other favourite team to get the lowdown on Jozo came into the side 2seasons ago started well played most games that season and the start of the next but then his form really dipped for the last 6months or so in and out of the side and his career was going backwards,when dinamo turned Celtic first bid the club came under a fair bit of stick from fans for turning it down,in Zagreb the fee involved was thought to be 4m euros.The fee this time he believes is 5.5m euros with add ons .Having been at both games between Celtic and dinamo,he considers VVD a much superior player so this signing would appear to be another Project certainly not a like for like player understandable with the money for both player being so far apart.Will find our shortly if it's a good buy or not as would appear his first game will be at Aberdeen,a good as place as any to show us what your made off,good luck Juno.

Ed, do you know if there is any truth in the rumour that we are looking to get kramaric on loan?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - He is available for loan and CFC have spoken to him - I'm not sure if he would move up here as he wasn't particularly keen hence why nothing happened quickly.}

01 Sep 2015 08:36:24
Anything on a striker Ed? I see Michu is still at Swansea and the Spanish deadline has passed .

Believable1 Unbelievable1

{Ed007's Note - Michu done his usual and his stinking attitude and it is looking more likely the brat will be staying in Wales unless they can find a club mug enough and desperate enough to sign him.}

01 Sep 2015 12:42:28
That's where we come in haha

Agree2 Disagree1

01 Sep 2015 13:51:36
Not going to lie I would take Michu in a second, especially when you look at our current options Griffiths(He's ok, wouldn't trust him against Ajax and Fenerbache), Cifcti(Don't rate him) and Stokes(Please leave). I would also be far more excited with Michu than Fletcher for example.

If Ronny could maybe get a one to one with the lad to convince him he'd maybe change his attitude, quality player when he's focused. Also, a loan does no harm if we can get that paying a % of his wages.

Is scepovic transfer to getafe a permanent deal or a loan deal because there are conflicting stories

Believable0 Unbelievable0

01 Sep 2015 11:31:24
Getafe wanted a permanent deal but Celtic only wanted it to be a loan

Agree1 Disagree0

01 Sep 2015 11:40:20
I seen that we couldn't agree a fee for him so it had to be a loan deal. Not sure if there is a option to buy at the end of the loan or not, IMO I think we will regret it. even more so if we don't get a replacement in, Ciftci and Stokes as back up is quite worrying.

Agree1 Disagree0

01 Sep 2015 11:53:56
Don't worry S W we will get a 3rd rate loan singing in as back up for strikers at the last minute.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Sep 2015 12:18:17
That's exactly what I'm worried about, we already have a 3rd rate striker in Stokes I would have let him go before Scepovic.

Agree1 Disagree0

01 Sep 2015 13:13:54
SW
I agree with you about letting Stokes go before Scepovic (who I don't think was ever given a decent run in the side anyway to show what he could do) but the problem is that no team seems to want him.
