Evening Ed,
Just wondering your thoughts on what lawell was talking about on Friday at the AGM regarding a European regional league? My personal opinion is I would love to see us play in a leauge that includes top teams from the smaller European leagues week in week out! I love watching Celtic but even a top of the table clash at Pitodrie doesn't get my juices flowing. Since the dark side left I just don't see the same fight in some players in the league matches. Just imagine the names we could attract to Celtic if we were to play on a big stage everyweek and the money we could command. I think people from out with Scotland have stood up and took notice of our great club since the Barca game! In a bigger league with more Tv exposure the rewards could be endless!

There are far too many questions needing answered and problems that would need to be overcome, plus PL was a bit vague about it all 'It's a suggestion shall we say.' That makes it sound as if it was spoken at lunch table level, possibly at the CL draw.}

IMO if we get more results like the Barca game then i think an invite to the big boys league (when it happens) could be on the cards rather than a league with the Dutch,etc.Spoke to many nationalities since the Barca game and they have all said they are going to look out for our results now so our fanbase is growing further.

It will all be about tv audience draw of the respective teams as that is what advertisers will pay for, as we are such a small nation we wouldn't figure however given our "external" appeal particularly North America I think we could sneak in to the big boys regional league. But we will certainly get an invite to the North Atlantic one.
