It wasn't Skacel or Heskey as posted below. Wasn't anyone established for that matter, I have it on good authority that it was an un-signed youngster who be revealed pretty soon.

Agree0 Disagree0

It was a young Irish bhoy. I think is name is mcmullan

Hail hail

Rumour I heard is a young Irish guy.

Can't see Lennon bringing anyone in now he has his squad and free transfers are free for a reason either injury prone, to old but holding on for glory payments or wanting to much money, wouldn't touch any free transfer at all.

That's Hitzlsperger, Heskey and Skacel all mentioned as out-of-contract trialists.
Add that to Lassan who was signed after the 'Window' and it makes us look desperate at worst and unorganised at best.
We left our business far too late and seemingly missed out on all our main targets one by one until the deadline.
Don't get me wrong I welcome new faces that will enhance the team and help us win games and ultimately trophies. However we seem to be clutching at straws a wee bit, maybe due to injuries and severe lack of form?

Does anyone know who the 25 man Champions League squad are?

Are all the new signings included?

Believable1 Unbelievable5

Celtic's deadline day signing Lubos Kamenar has been left off the club's squad list for the group stages of the Champions League.

Squad lists released by UEFA show Fraser Forster and Lukasz Zaluska are Neil Lennon's two goalkeeping picks.

Kamenar could however still be drafted in to play if either goalkeeper is ruled out through a long-term illness or injury during the campaign, although such a move would prohibit the player dropping out from playing in the competition for 30 days.

Other recent signings Efe Ambrose, Lassad Nouioui and Miku Fedor are included. Rabiu Ibrahim is again left out.

The Celtic boss was only able to pick 22 players on List A for the competition, having failed to meet the quota to fill all 25 spots. Eight places are reserved from homegrown squad members, of which the club name just five on their main list.

Clubs are only able to name a maximum of 17 players who either have not been trained by the club between the ages of 15 and 21, or in Scotland between the same ages, over a period of 36 months.

Joe Chalmers, James Forrest and Marcus Fraser could have been included on the main list to fulfil the quota but were instead named on List B. In any case, all three will be free to play in Celtic's Champions League matches.

List B allows clubs to name any players under the age of 21 who have been trained by the club for "any uninterrupted period of two years since his 15th birthday". Teams are free to add players to List B at any point during the competition up until 11pm the day before a match.

No need for him at all.

He said a couple of months ago that he would love to come back if we would take him! But I think if epl come in for him, cfc wouldn't be an option. Would love the holy goly back, give forster comp, but we signed that guy on loan so doubt it would happen.

Agree0 Disagree1

Paradise?? Yep mate. Just love getting of the rangers bus in dalmarnock road, feel like a king! Stunning view.

Agree1 Disagree1

Dont know about other fans but i would never take a player back who wanted to leave us before, felt the same about maloney
