Maloney on the way, McClean will take 3k a week cut in wages and come, no way will he play league 1 next season, get Duffy signed now and flog Virgil, some great defenders available on loan right now, who will get us through to the summer

Would take Duffy but everything else you've posted can't see it, Maloney heading to States, McClean will stay in England I think even if Wigan get relegated can see some premier clubs aswell as championship clubs bidding for him as for vvd keep him to the summer doesn't need sold him & he's agent been pricks

You might be right Malika20 about Maloney coming back right enough but I don't get it, 1 of the reasons Commons seemingly isn't getting a 2 year deal is because his age, Maloney is older is he not? To me Commons a better player & goalscorer, don't get me wrong I've got nothing against Shaun when he on form he a good player but he didn't exactly do anything great it his second spell way us and got to remember he couldn't wait to get away the first time when Oneil tapped him up. I think the way Commons been treated a disgrace & also got to agree way his agent he gave up Scotland to focus on us, I don't get this move at all if it happens. If you can ed can you put a poll up Maloney or Commons much appreciated.

I think Maloney would suit RDs system better but must disagree about the 'gave up playing for Scotland to concentrate on Celtic' - I am sure he said at the time he was giving up so he could spend more time with his family! - no problem with that, think he is quite right as players must spend a lot of time in hotels etc

Markiebhoy your right but he also did say he just wanted to concentrate on club football way us, I'll ask you this do you think it right the way he being treated.

Chris

I agree he is being treated harshly but football is a harsh sport. One minute you can be worth a fortune and the next worthless.

Do you remember we signed Fojut (now at Dundee Utd) on a pre-contract a few years back and then he done his ACL? We tore up the contract at that point. Harsh but the right thing to do. Hopefully this gamble pays off too as they clearly don't see Commons as a first pick for the next 2 years.

Totally agree NiallH I know it a harsh sport but I think as players are always said to show loyalty which in my opinion Commons has clearly done the board should be doing the same, mate if it wasn't for him last season we would have struggled for goals bar he's second season he's been consistent and we all know what he had to deal with off the park that season which would have messed anyone's head, I know he doesn't maybe fit rd system all the time but in my opinion he would be top goalscorer this season aswell if he was playing regular. Just my opinion bud I think we going back to the biscuit tin mentality, iam not gone a come on here & say I know what commons is wanting because I don't but I don't think he being holding club to ransom.

We are on the same page. I would give Commons what he wants unless asking for a massive rise as he is one of the only creative influences we have and as you say where would we have been last season without him. He has been loyal and appears to love playing for Celtic but the board have a right to offer him what they see fit. Just because he is getting a 1 year deal doesn't mean he won't be offered another year if things go well next season. Quite a few EPL teams do this with guys over 30.
