Ed...heard earlier Man Utd could be handed a Champions League lifeline thanks to Swiss FA carry on with Sion. Its on BBC now (so must be credible) - Mrs E {Ed007's Note - I said all along that Sion taking on UEFA/FIFA could have serious repercussions for Swiss football.}

Would be infuriated if Basel are kicked out. They're nothing to do with Sion, and letting Man Utd in at their expense would make it even worse.

Don't hate Man Utd or anything but at the end of the day I reckon UEFA would love it for Man Utd to be in there over lowly Basel earning them TV revenue and increasing the profile of UEFA in the footballing world in the process.

Man Utd should just have take their medicine just as Basel would have had they gone out. {Ed007's Note - Like CFC it's not Man Utd's fault. The Swiss FA backed Sion knowing they had broke the rules. I'm not going over all that again!}

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah I know and it's not like Man Utd are campaigning to have them kicked out or whatever so I've no problem with them. Would just annoy me if Basel are kicked when it's nothing to do with them bar being part of the Swiss league. Sion broke the rules and were rightly punished.

Basel have done nothing wrong and shouldn't fall as a result of other clubs' and associations' decisions and stupidity, especially at the expense of an EPL club who I'm sure - and it's just my opinion - UEFA would love to reinstate and get back into the limelight. Basel going out would help the Scottish co-efficient but it's nice to see clubs from smaller nations doing something in Europe. {Ed007's Note - It's the role that the Swiss FA played in the Sion farce that UEFA are looking at, although I do agree with you that Basel shouldn't be punished in anyway.}

Wonder who would get Man Utd's place in the Europa ~ Mrs E

Agree0 Disagree0

Wouldn't they just give a bye to basel's opponents?

Agree0 Disagree0

Heard that was a possibility too but I thought any sanction wouldn't take place until next season.

Agree0 Disagree0

All bans start from the 14th of jan

Agree0 Disagree0

They will only get kicked out if swiss fa do not punish sion, and declare the players ineligable for the rest of the season.

The swiss fa only backed sion because the swiss court forced them into such tactics!

kris commons to sign for wba 1.5 million

Believable20 Unbelievable25

Thats just a pure stupid comment, Why would any team pay us 1.5m for commons? We got him for 300k and got a fantastic 6 months out of him. I still hope that he still has a part to play with Celtic this season, but in no way am I sure but I am 100% sure no one will pay 1.5m for him as I'm sure most tim's will agree with me.
