I don't know why my reply didn't come up there. Anyway, I think the idiot should keep his mouth shut and keep his nose out of things that has nothing to do with him.
How would he have liked it if Jose Mourinho had came out and said he wanted the Man Utd job during his disastrous spell there? I knew he had no class but this is a new low even for him.
He basically said the club would need to give him substantial money to spend so for once I applaud Peter Lawwell for his frugal approach - anything that keeps that clown Moyes away from CFC has to be a good thing.

Totally agree Ed. I remember a few years ago when he was still at Everton he was asked if he would ever manage the OF and he said "Only if they played in England". But now he is desperate for a job he would take it. Two-faced C. If he had to choose between Newcastle and Celtic i'm sure he wouldn't even turn up for the interview. Keep him away!

{Ed007's Note - Do you think it's just a coincidence that the MSM's anti-Deila spin has went into overdrive this week? We've got this rocket Moyes sticking his oar in, stories that Malky Mackay is ready to get back into management and Lennon leaving Bolton all being used to try and unsettle the Club. Anyone with half a brain can see what's going on, the press are running scared of what's going to happen at Hampden next month.}

The Scottish media are a disgrace.
Ex players/ managers will generally say whatever is required to suit their own needs.
Very rarely do we see someone who dons the hoops and stays true to the club throughout their career.
Henrik - talent, commitment and class
He could have left whenever he wanted, but he was happy and enjoyed being part of Celtic. The fact he was foreign and wasn't connected to the club prior to signing only adds to the significance of his reign as King. The greatest player in my days of watching.

Tell me about it. Too many wallopers with nothing to say. Does anyone still buy these rags these days?

{Ed007's Note - All they're doing is passing their opinion which is the exact same as all of us do on here. The Daily Record would need to shut down if their internet packed in or they couldn't access Twitter, they've got guys writing match reports from the comfort of their own couch watching the game on TV, it's the same with other sports too like tennis and rugby.}

The timing of it -- having been passed over for the Newcastle job -- speaks volumes.

Another couple of knock backs and I fully expect the "I'd walk to Parkhead" quote to come out.

I thought Malky Mackay handled the question better. Stating that he grew up with the club etc. and that one day who knows but not willing to comment any further than that due to RD being in the position currently. That's all Moyes had to say: "maybe one day".

How does moyes know the club inside out? He hasn't been involved since he was a teenager and celtic have changed he'll of a lot since then.
Being a celtic man as people put it should in no way be a criteria for the job.

A fair section of our support think that we need a new manager, so why the hysterical reaction when the press and media say it.
Decisions about our club should be taken by us on the basis of what's best for the club, whether the media agree or disagree shouldn't come into it.
I don't think that you can take the attitude of just doing the opposite of what the press says.
Supposing the media start to praise Ronny as a great manager, does that mean that the club should then sack him?
Ronny will end up being judged on what state the team is in, the falling attendances, and the fact we're even struggling to sell our allocation of tickets for away matches shows to me that something needs to happen to reverse this trend. If the press and media feel the same way then I don't think that's a good enough reason for doing nothing.

Lennon, Mackay, Moyes all linked in pretty much nothing stories. Media nonsense. I would never want Mackay anywhere near Celtic in any capacity after all the bile he came out with.

{Ed007's Note - Do you think a guy who tried to bribe a woman to keep their affair quiet before threatening her with a knife should be near CFC in any capacity?}

All that aisde, what I find hilarious is the amount of fans chastising the way we play, then clamoring for people like Moyes, MacKay and even Lambert; managers who all made their names off the back of pragmatic/ defensive football.

I said a while ago I'd love for us to try and get Hiddink to come, even as a director of football to mentor Ronny and teach him different ways of doing things as getting over his stubborness and refusal to adapt his team/ gameplan to suit the opposition would be half the battle in my opinion. Hiddink has said he's going to retire but surely a decent contract for a year or two in a fairly stress-free environment could be tempting?

Stress free? We're top of the league with superior goal difference, game in hand and in the semi final of the national cup - and the fans are calling for the managers head, the board are under pressure, and the media are wheeling out any manager willing to give a quote about managing us. Nowt stress free about it.

There wouldn't be all that stress for him if he was in a mentoring role and if somebody like him was allowed to come in and help Ronny then maybe he would learn to be less rigid with his tactics and we wouldn't be bored to death with 6 defensive players taking the field agaist SPFL teams.

We don't play with 6 defensive players.

4 across the back with 2 sitting midfielders. The full backs try to get forward and Bitton likes a shot at goal but for me it's not good enough domestically and certainly not in Europe. Ronny either needs help in some form or he needs to go.

18 Mar 2016 11:36:28
Our full backs give us width and are expected to get forward. I'm not being pedantic - or deliberately obtuse - but they aren't defensive. Like you say, even the "double pivet" should offer more up front than they do - but I'll agree that they are (by circumstance or design) a bit too defensive.

Domestically we should be able to play an awful lot more of the fast flowing, attacking football we were promised almost 2 seasons ago. That coupled with the complete naivety of our most recent European campaign suggests to me that something just isn't right within the club. It may be Lawwell, RD, his coaches, the players and maybe at times we as fans don't help, but something has to give because the fans are talking with their feet. I utilise my season ticket every time I can but it's been a real struggle for a while now. The football we're watching is dross.
