Ed you've kept us informed of Bremens interest in Ki will a swap deal with Sebastian Boenisch be the probable outcome? If so, how much do you reckon Celtic will be looking to get in cash (i'm assuming he's valued at more than the Polish lad)? {Ed007's Note - Boesnich is a free agent, don't be surprised if CFC have already spoken to him.}

Former Celtic boss Tony Mowbray looks set to swoop for defender Kelvin Wilson on a season-long loan deal. Middlesbrough are pushing for a return back to the Barclays Premier League and Wilson is believed to be part of Mowbray's plans. If the transfer materialises, Wilson will join up with former Celtic striker, Scott McDonald. {Ed007's Note - Middlesbrough are trying to offload McDonald.}

I heard about that Ed007. Something to do with their wage bill I would imagine. Would you take Skippy back at Celtic? I think Mowbray made a massive mistake in selling him...and selling Barry Robson. {Ed007's Note - No mate I wouldn't, he would offer very little to our squad IMO. His agent was spreading a story that he had turned down a £100k a week contract in Saudi Arabia which is not helping Middlesbrough's situation of moving him on.}

Please tony make up for your nitemare time as our manager and take wilson. Please, please!

Celtic have accepted a €12m (£9.5m) bid from Atletico Madrid for the transfer of Ki Sung-Yueng. The South Korean was linked with moves to Russia and England but has chosen the Spanish side only days after stating his desire to play in La Liga.

I hope this is true, the more clubs bidding for him the more the moeny goes up and all the better for us. CelticDubGary

just watched henrickson live for the first time and by his usual standards i dont know if he was good bad or average, but he looked ok neither great nor bad , he doesnt look a dynamic box to box player and the player who he looked most similar to was ki , this was the first ive seen him but on tonights performance i dont think he is the great playmaker we are looking for, but he is only 19 and like ki looks to have potential and worth a punt,,,deep river bhoy

Shocking at the back tonight all too easy to get in behind our centre
backs and this against poor opposition.I know its pre season but im very alarmed for our Euro chances this season unless we get a dominant centre half with pace it could be a short jaunt.ED surely we cant contemplate the qualifiers without one and a target man to hold the ball up top?

Yes only pre-season but somethings do alarm. Like Murphy and Wilson being toatal donkeys. Plus paddy in centre mid is a joke. Why no Stokes tonite? Agree with op do need a good strong ch as soon as. Hbhoy

This was still a good fitness test, also no injuries, pre season games always hard to judge, good to see some of the fringe guys getting a game, but the touch sharpness and movement will be back in a few more games, then we can judge who should stay and who maybe needs to be loaned out for a season or moved on completely

Think people don't realize that these Bhoys are training 2-3 fitness sessions a day right now possibly even before the match. Give it time the now, although admittedly we should be building on last years success by filling the gaps which are still noticeable!

Might be a meaningless pre season friendly to us ed but to our friends who run the daily rags it means so much more....they finally have an excuse to roll out the old cracked crests again

I would disagree with you there Ed007, with CL qualifying matches looming over the horizon, every match (from the start of pre-season) should count. Since we babdly need that CL qualifying money, to try and make up for some of the revenue that has been lost due to the "La Cheats" being banished.We've got very little time to prepare and little time to mess about. Seeing if the youngsters are good enough can wait at least for now.

Paddy McCourt should be shifted on, his body language is all wrong and even though he's been here for 2-3 years he looks as if hes still hasn't settled and plays as if he's in over his head. Even though we've had some special moments of footballing genius from the guy, he's not reliable and not consistent enough, having hardly featured last season and rarley getting a game for one of the worst international sides on record, says it all really. We've tried him out on the wing (it hasn't worked, even though that's his preferred position from his time at Derry City), up front (still didn't work) and now in the middle of the park ( no real enthusiasm shown in tonites game against Stuttgart). TAXI TIME

Scott Brown, came to Celtic with the label of "Dynamic Midfielder", who as it turns out, cant pass, cant tackle (without being booked), cant read the game ( as you would expect a professional to be able to do), rarely scores or sets goals up. Spends more time snarling like a dog at the opposition. Should be let off his leash and moved on with Henriksen brought to replace him.

Murphy get rid of him and with Ki being sold for 7 million, apparently (if Celtic really want to show the fans that they are serious about Europe) every penny should be spent on Rodes.

Agree with all you say,apart from brown,thats what was wrong with us before he came, we did not have anyone who could upset our opponent's the way scott doe's. You need your battler's along side your football player's. Would alway's be number one on my team sheet.

I know he's still young and progressing but fillip twardzik was poor tonight, as was kelvin Wilson, Murphy, commons, the whole team really. I'm not even going to talk about Blackman and why he is allowed to have the honour of wearing a Celtic strip, terrible player even though his chance hasn't came early sign are suggesting he's not Celtic standard. I can't even begin to explain how desperate we are for a target man, it's horrific watching Charlie Mulgew playing perfect balls up top and there's no target man to knock the ball on for hooper. Tonight was a game for fitness, although we shouldn't be losing to opponents of that quality, it shows Lennon what he needs and were our weaknesses are.

I've heard it's matty upson he's in the last year of his contract and we've offered to take him on a 6 month loan and pay half his £36k p/w wages

ED007 I was going to ask about the television money in light of the St Mirren chairmen saying in today's papers that Sly would not be paying
the agreed monies due on 6 August. Then I saw Taco had posted something last night. Can you put us all at ease (including some panicking SPL chairmen) that Sly are contractually obliged to pay
fees for this season 2012/2013, as the new tv deal does not start until next season 2013/2014. Or if they do pull out now do all SPL clubs get a termination fee as Taco states? I know it is the MSM causing trouble
but surely an SPL chairman should know precisely what agreement his
club have signed up to. Taco I would appreciate your input
also. hail hail Timalloy {Ed007's Note - What people are forgetting is one of the clauses when the original deal was signed in 2009. It was for approx £65 million (roughly £22 million a season) and would end at the end of season 2011/12. After this time THE SPL CLUBS had an option to extend the deal by a further two seasons, so if the SPL have triggered this option (and why wouldn't they) SLY either need to pay up the money or they will be in breach of contract, so if this clause has been triggered there is still two years left on the current TV deal.}

I thought this to ed but is there not a clause stating sly have to have 4 old firm games a season as part of the deal meaning if this is the case as the spl cannot fulfill this then they can walk away without any breach. I hope i'm wrong and they walk. Compensation gets paid and maybe an spl tv channel set up and get football back to a saturday at 3pm then maybe get more fans back to the smaller clubs. BacciBhoy {Ed007's Note - No TV deal can stipulate fixtures or which teams play in which league Bacci, that is tantamount to match fixing, especially with a league that operates with a split system. Look rationally at what was happening at the time, there would have been no concern over CFC or Rangers future in 2009 so why would there even be any fear that there wouldn't be 4 derby matches a season unless one of them finished in the bottom six, it would break the statutes of the world game that cover TV broadcasting. Would SLY be able to tell the EPL they wanted fixtures set so that the last match of the season was a league decider between the top two teams no matter who it is, so no team could win the league until the very last day of the season, keeping their viewing figures high? It would be the same thing. I think the clause was more than likely that SLY got to broadcast any derby matches rather than ESPN.}

Totally agree ed any clause would be to protect skys right to broadcast all league old firm games rather than demand they be in the league but it all comes down to the exact wording in that clause but i dont see them pulling the plug in last year and sky has also got a contract with espn who dont show any old firm games but are happy with their deal so if they pull the plug then they could be in breach of contract with espn who will lose a lot of subscribers {Ed007's Note - SLY payout £20-22 million a year for the SPL, their income from Scottish subscriptions is around £110 million p.a. They won't walk away from just because of a small drop in profits.}

Cheers ED007 for your honest answer as usual. So SPL had an option to extend for two more years, so you would imagine only an incompetent fool would not take up this option.......
So that leads on to another interesting question. If this option had already been taken up, why would Doncaster tell everyone Scottish football would lose £16m? Surely no football administrator would tell porkies?? With three weeks until the new season begins if there was no TV in place then believe me, the panic would be a lot worse. The unsigned new contract was just the same idea as a player extending his contract while he still has a year or two to go. The new deal would run until 2017 a five year deal that would encompass the two year option of the previous deal.}
