Heard from someone in the know that there is a lot of friction within Celtic over Stevie Woods receiving a new contract. Lawwell told Woods he would receive a new, improved contract if Woods could get Forster into the England squad and has now backtracked on the statement.
Lennon witnessed this promise and said he would back Woods if he took it to arbitration.
Heard this ED?

Arkadiusz Milik close to signing for Bayer Leverkusen. Knew that piece in the Daily Fail was rubbish as soon as I read that Celtic were going to sign him for £3m. There's no way Lennon would go out of his way to spend that kind of money on one player. It's just not our transfer policy now.

Great result today. Once again our two main men do the business. Just wish we could get them signed up for the next few years. Wanyama is awesome I believe he can go right to the top, as for Hooper I've been his biggest fan from the first game I saw him, guys like Hooper are priceless as far as I'm concerned. He deserves a new 3-4 year contract for his Christmas. He's been terrific for us. Lets hope the board & his advisors can get it sorted as soon as. He his hitting top form at the right time. Ian L
I think they are more than keen to deal him in, but I doubt hooper is as keen unfortunately.
Hooper has basically forced the club to sell him by not signing a new deal,hope we hold on to him until the end of the season though,Wanyama will have his pick skys the limit for this guy. Good luck to them both and I trust Lenny to keep finding raw, young talent, what is undoubtedly the only transfer policy open to us at the present time

Glad we got the 3 points today st miren were like the Great Wall of paisley for most of the game 10/11 behind the ball !
Big wanyama looked the best player on the park IMO
Loved the police protest everyone with there cameras on lol
Roll on the CL draw !
Lenny
The protest with the phones was bri love to see that at the cl games at night

reckon we should consider billy mckay seems to be scoring in most games finisher
He'll end up at the dark side within the next few years bud. He's one if them.
Sat next to a Bhoy for few years from Corby same place as billy McKay he's a red hot bluenose don't think we'd want him anyhow💩
So was Kenny Dalgliesh and Danny Mc Grain why would we let that bother us its what he could offer us that counts

A 4-4 and a 2-3 amazing comeback to land Motherwell an amazing three points away to put them second top in SPL.
Who says SPL is boring? The battling these teams are doing for euro spots is excellent.
I still hate m/well and especially stuart mccalls hair,.,.kbarry
McCall still looks like a ginger lesbo
frankiebhoy {Ed007's Note - That is Gingerism Frankie lol.}
Who said the spl was boring? It was said this season would be a one horse race, and it is proving to be just that.
Ed are you a ginger? ,.,.kbarry {Ed007's Note - No mate, I am not but my wee niece is, she doesn't have the matching freckles though.}

It's such a different game when you keep the ball.I thought today we were sensible in possession,moved the ball across the park quickly and seldom fired silly crosses into a box with 8 defenders in it.Nice to see kayal getting close to the player we all think he is,Hooper linked well and his movement was so much sharper and young Adam continues to impress in this new role Lenny has put him in.Pass marks all round i thought.With at least one stonewall penalty,hitting the bar and Browns header over the line(for me)it could have been very comfortable.My only criticism would be pull the trigger if the shots on!..........green jhedi
Agreed . i think the hesitancy drives me bonkers. samaras i like but he plays the odds too much he'll take a corner ,throwin ,instead of taking a gamble and having a go at goal. very annoying his only flaw.
Kayal is a top class cm as he showed before his injuries,a few more games and he will be back to his best.HH
Ill get slagged for this but kayal better technical player than wanyama whos guilty often of giving the ball away.
Think your right in a sense, wanyama has a tendency to not make the simple 5-10 yard passes but hes still raw. I think Lennon is trying to refine that aspect of his game but what he lacks in the passing dept he more than makes up with his presence, power and ability to read the game to cover cbs etc. Kayal must be gutted big Vic signed as its made him look a far lesser player in comparison lol but will be back to his best soon

Ed do you know what the problem is with mcgeouch? there is something not right when mccourt is ahead of him. Very frustrating
Celticthomas {Ed007's Note - There is nothing wrong with McGeouch, he was fit as far as I know.}
I remember reading he was injuried and just started training 2 weeks ago its was the tic website I'm sure I read it on
Lenny {Ed007's Note - He came on at the death against Arbroath on Wednesday Lenny. It must just be his fitness he is working on.}
He just back from his jaw injury then I think it was either groin or hamstring injury, so he hasn't really played much football since the second week in the league when we played the glamour friendly against Madrid.
At this moment in time he's not needed and he's still young match fitness and Lennon protecting his talent for the future is probably the reasons for little game time plus McCourt is probably on his way so getting him seen in action isn't a bad thing either.
Cumby Bhoy
Ps long time no post still on nearly everyday having a look, ed still doing a great job! {Ed007's Note - Cheers Cumby, I hope everything is ok with you bud.}
I fail to understand "protecting his talent" FFS, surely if the boy is good enough he can only get better with the experience of playing??
Maybe Lenny is just trying to put Paddy in the shop window for January. As soon as I saw young Dylan in the Real Madrid game, I knew he would be a star. I reckon he will get a run of games after January if Paddy moves on.

Hi ed, do you know If there is any truth in the story by the daily fail about us signing a young polish 18 striker for 3m? They claim we have beaten Chelsea and city to him and he is booked in for a medical.
Junglebhoy33 {Ed007's Note - Arkadiusz Milik flew from Antalya to Dusseldorf this morning. He has attracted the attention of Celtic, Hannover, VVV Venlo, Everton, Norwich and Udinese. However, Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen are best placed to take the player in January. Right now I would say Leverkusen are the best placed to sign him:
Big Polish Bhoy I'm working with says he is going to be a great player, but until you see him in a Celtic shirt, I wouldn't get too excited. Cheeky Bhoy

This is a huge story in Scottish Football:
""Kilmarnock manager Kenny Shiels is accusing a match official of an 'outrageous fabrication' of evidence against him.
Shiels asserts that Andrew Dallas, the fourth official at Kilmarnocks league match against St Johnstone, invented a story that led to him being dismissed.""
Shiels goes on to say he recorded the incident on his laptop and the SFA dropped the charges against him. But this evidence proves this official to be a liar and untrustworthy with no integrity.
Scottish football desperately need professional officials with integrity and honesty. There can be no place for this guy now in the game. He casts suspicion on all officials whilst he remains.
Like father like son....

Just saw in Daily Mail that Celtic have signed a highly rated 18 year old Polish striker for $3m.
Was looked at by a number of big clubs apparently.
This guy is world class man u man city chelsea spurs real madrid arsenal liverpool all wonted him hes 18 years old striker and he is world class celtic have did really well to get him fantastic good to see that money going to good use but does that mean players are going out tho

I dont know if its just me, celtic need to buy at least one centre half and one emineke style of bullish and skillful striker up front. If u take away mulgrew's deliverey from set plays he is a dead man and very slow, also i dont think kelvin wilson is the answer either he seems also slow, rash and injury prone. Also ive heard alot of grumbbles about kayal, i was thinking considering his inconsistant run in the team via several means that he was actually coming back to a bit of form?
Theres a hell of a lot more to Mulgrew than set piece deliveries...hes been a stand out in the champions league playing out of position in every game. Maybe you're right and Wilson isnt the answer, however the one thing he isnt is slow. Kayal is still young and learning all the time, he has great potential tho when you're fighting Broonie, Ledley and Wanyama for a starting place its always going to be difficult to get a good run at it. Agree we need another striker, but a decent one who is going to do the business n not just some journeyman big name whos past it and just going to hold Tony Watt back.
Mikey Bhoy
I think it's just you . Mulgrew is a " dead man " ? . Wilson is " injury prone "? . And your last sentence about Kayal was like trying to crack the Da Vinci code.......DH
I think Mulgrew has been one of our best players whichever role he is asked to play.
I agree Wilson is slow but he has improved from the nightmare days when he started.
We have been crying out for a big strong target man and a midfield maestro for too long IMO and I reckon NL doesn't agree.
As for Kayal he can play a bit when he's in the mood and is getting his chance, but he can be out-muscled and prone to injury which has hampered his progress.
Jungle Jim
I cannot understand the "dead man"comment about big Charlie he's been a stick out for a while now and since when is it a bad thing to have a great left peg? As for Wilson he's looked good this season I think. It isnae popular view but we should sell Kayal in my opinion (not really kicked his arse for ages)Invest the funds in a quality ch and a more creative attacking midfielder just a young Lubo clone would do! Heard a wee rumour that Wenger is preparing an £11 million bid + Frimpong for Wanyama. Dunno if it's true. Havent even seen much of the boy play. .
Samson
Frimpong us actually pretty decent. He's not in Vic's class but not bad. Bit of bite to him, bit hot headed but a tough little f@@ker!
Hendy
I think this would be a great piece of business,good money and frimpong would be immense for us.HH

I say you buy like for like-find a player instantly to fill the void if vic goes, which is looking imminent. If you can't do that then surely what we've got (Commons, Ledley, Kayal, Brown, Forrest etc) would do the job until the end of the season. No point in carrying players who are not the class we need them to be for the long haul.
