skinnybhoy, just rumours but that's what we are oh here for. I don't know much about the Delaney bhoy never saw him play. A marque signing i think we have it with Sinclair but if we qualified and another player to strengthen the team ( straight in and not a prospect) i'd welcome it.
theref1974.yeah blackburn bad atm, but in a differnt team he COULD be a better player, he is young and can learn from Toure.

SB, any names to go with the marquee signing talk? I can't see Celtic signing anyone higher profile than Sinclair because I imagine Sinclair is among our highest earners if not the highest earner! I just can't see us paying big money and big wages.
Not keen on Duffy but will give him a chance if it's true. I don't know anything about Delaney other than what I've read on here but he seems to be in favour with everyone who's mentioned him so I'd be excited if he came.
Anyone got any score predictions for Wednesday? I'm thinking/ hoping 2-0. I believe we need to destroy this mob at Celtic park or we will lose out on champs league. I don't know why but I also have a feeling that this mob may bottle it under the pressure. Roll on Wednesday! HH.

Marquee signing ideas
It won't be a young player
It will be late 20s to early 30s
Someone who has made lots of money but hasn't got many medals ( home or abroad ) and has the hunger to be a winner
So someone like sugurdasson or Defoe etc
They will be Danish or Swedish or Dutch IMVHO
It could be McCarthy of course or ( gulp ) mcgeady but if its marquee it needs to be a signing that provides a focus for European games no matter the competition we ultimately play in

I watched the Ireland games during the Euros and Duffy looked a class act. David Moyes said that, with the exception of Rooney and Barkley, he was the best player to come through Evertons academy - certainly the best defensive player. He suffered a few big injuries that stifled his development so is a few years behind where he should be. If he can repeat the form he shows for Ireland and BR can unlock some of his potential he will be a fantastic signing.
There are a lot of Irish players being linked with Celtic of late, the one i would go for is Jeff Hendrick. He is sublime for both Ireland and Derby. An all action midfielder with a real eye for goal and stunning shot and is still only 24. Reminds me a lot of Commons when he first signed. Don't know of Derby would let him go though as his loss would be a major blow to their promotion bid.

Calm down Old Bhoy, I'm just saying I don't think the boy Duffy is better than what we have. CB is a strong position for us when they are all fit, although I would try and move on Boyata and Ambrose.
From the Inter match I liked the effort from Ryan Christie, Kris Ajer, Henderson and Ciftci.
Disappointed in Boyata and Armstrong.
I think BR will look to bring in a creative central midfielder and another striker. (Bar said 2, I don't think GK is one)

Sorry Marco no don't have any names she didn't say and won't no matter how many times I ask! Just that he is a very big player deal to go through if we qualify. I'm guessing it will be a midfielder.
