with regards to the goalkeeper situation, think celtic should take a chance on Bosnia international Ibrahim Sehic. Hes a good keeper and was linked with Juventus in the past {Ed007's Note - He has just signed for Turkish side Mersin Idman Yurdu for 425 Euros.}

Believable4 Unbelievable0

425 Euros? I could have bought him for that price lol
Kevbhoy {Ed007's Note - LMAO I meant 425,000 I got distracted trying to find the euro symbol on this laptop and spelling the teams name right. Good spot Kev (smart ar5e!)

seen quite a lot of posts about adam le fondre, ed is there any concrete proof of celtic being linked with him? {Ed007's Note - Yes, for weeks there was rumours in England of a Scottish team having strong interest in him, but none of the English Eds could find out who it was. One of them has now told me that it is CFC that have a confirmed interest in ALF. Rotherham have had several enquires though and are expecting a lot of scouts at games. So CFC have enquired as far as I am aware.}

am i the only person who thinks we could cough up 6 million for a player but just scared incase they are flops :S ?

Believable12 Unbelievable9

We could - whether we actually will is another matter entirely

Agree0 Disagree0

Why spend 6m on one player, when u could invest in a good scouting mission and find another izzy or king henrik?

Agree0 Disagree0

We cudnt, we cud only offer the polish club 500k up front for sandiomerski. U guys really need to be a bit more realistic. I mean think about a player of that moneys wages on top of the transfer fee, dont be ridiculous.

Drew

Agree0 Disagree0

Dude we lost that polish keeper for the sake of 500k ..I have a source who's telling me Celtic ain't gonnae be buying anymore unless they sell first..so on that note who do ye finks leavin coz we need a keeper(who's not injured)

Agree0 Disagree0

Rite whenever sum1 says they have a source i immediatley disregard it as nonsense. We didnt lose out on sandiomerski over 500k. We lost out because we offered 500k up front then the rest in installments taking it up to 1.4 mil even tho the polish team said they wanted 2 mil. Genk who got 13 mil fro chelsea for their keeper came in and paid the money up front, end of story. We do not have to sell to buy but there isnt a lot of money available. Moving a few fringe players on if possible cudnt do any harm tho.

Drew

Agree0 Disagree0

We couldn't afford the wages a 6million player would command

Ed, any idea what happened to Mylord Kasai, the young swiss gue we had over? He looked good in footage (they always do right enough) but I didnt hear anything more. Obviously would've been one for the future anyway. Paul {Ed007's Note - TBH I am not too sure, I did think of him when we drew Sion. Officially he is still one of their players as far as I can find out.}

Believable3 Unbelievable3

Thanks ed for quick response, new to the site. Paul {Ed007's Note - No worries, and welcome Paul.}

Adam le Fronde will sign and will sit on the bench if samaras and murphy ain't fit Forget alf why not just throw in Tony watt if that's goin to be celtics level

Believable2 Unbelievable8

Did we not sign hooper from "that level" ? shows you what you know

Agree0 Disagree0

Another Celtic fan who will just not accept the reality of our situation. This is the sort of player the old firm have to look at now. This guy altho not as good as hooper wud easily bag 20 goals a season up here. Championship is of a higher standard than the spl. Face facts.

Drew

Agree0 Disagree0

No we did not sign Hooper from that level and yes the championship is of a higher standard but Rotherham and LeFondre are in the English League 2 a whole 2 leagues below the championship and Hoopers level . I'm not saying the guys not worth a punt, he could end up being a great bit of business but really it is the old English 4th Division (Prem, cham, lge 1, lge 2 )

Anyone seen price of tickets for Sion away? 70 bloody quid.... They deserve a gubbing for that on Thursday. Hail Hail

Believable13 Unbelievable3

Emm am no surewhere u get that price from but online at Celtic fc online ticket office checked a few area I.e. North stand, jock stein and prices are between 22-30 unless u looking at a box or buying two seats, then I don't knw what u doing mate

Cumby Bhoy {Ed007's Note - It's for the away leg Cumby mate. Switzerland has a very high standard of living.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope we give them a 5-0 cuffing here so we dont need to spend that over there.

Agree0 Disagree0

Much apologies haha I was ready to buy the guy a ticket a thought there was something wrong with his computer , just didnt read it.

Right moving on lol

Hi ed just seen a report on Celtic news now, that Liverpool are preparing a bid for Paddy mc Court....seems a strange one, however comes from a credible web site...what do you think {Ed007's Note - Not as far as I am aware of.}

Believable10 Unbelievable11

Nothing on newsnow celtic more scaremongering

Agree0 Disagree0

PADDYS A COMPATRIOT OF MINE.AN ULSTER MAN..AND IM A RANGERS FAN BUT I JUST CANT SEE HIM WIZZIN UP AND DOWN THE WINGS AT ANFIELD.ALTHO I WOUD LOVE TO SEE HIM DO IT..HES OUR MESSI ED {Ed007's Note - Can you lay off with the CAPS please?}

Agree0 Disagree0

If this is true.. a big IF If it were to happen then I think all our coaches can hang their heads in shame for not playing him regularly....

Agree0 Disagree0

Responding to this post over 2 hours later, absolutley nothing on newsnow about mccourt and liverpool. Its blackpool ya lying mug

Drew {Ed007's Note - He is/has been constantly linked with Blackpool for 2 years. Holloway is a big fan of his.}

Agree0 Disagree0

No offence to anyone reading this but i cant see this happening. i am a rangers fan and just cant see kenny dag spending money on a player that doesnt have the fitness to play week in week out. good player but think he could get better from celtic. would believe it if you said kayal or ki, would take both at rangers {Ed007's Note - I have spoken to Ed001 who has great connections within LFC. They are NOT interested in McCourt.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Headline is pool after McCort read the story mate it's Blackpool Do people just post anything on here without reading the story

Gazcfc21

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry but just to support the original poster, whilst I think the story is likely to be paper talk - he's not good enough - I've also just read it on news now so whatever else he is, he isnt a lier or a mug (and no I don't know him). Its in the Belfast Telegraph. Headline is Pool jump on Paddy Wagon. If you read it you will see they sate that LIVERPOOL are set to "rock Celtic" with an offer. I don't think theres any need to slag this lad off as he was just passing on a rumour in the press so you owe him an apology Personally, if it were true and it was sizeable i'd take it as we clearly need funds for more pressing positions (striker, GK, and arguably LB and CB). He has also been linked to Blackpool and a couple of others. Paul

Agree0 Disagree0

In fairness to the original poster it is reported on newsnow celtic that Liverpool are interested in Paddy. The article is by the 'Belfast Telegraph'and is entitled,pool jump on Paddy wagon.

The Celtic Official Website takes far too long to update the player profile status.. ie whos on loan etc. They have also posted a young boy without a photograph for weeks. Who agrees this should be updated more regularly

we need to sign tim matavz, the guy has just scored a 1st half hatrick for groningen

Believable12 Unbelievable8

Yeah, the kid reminds me of a taller version of Hooper he is deceptively strong and pacy and being prodominently left footed would add balance up front alongside either Stokes or Hooper.He would make a welcome addition to the squad and would have obvious sell on value unlike a Keane or Bellamy.

fatbhoy67.HH.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just been having a bit of a nosey into this guy and have found out that his club have already turned down 6 million euro for him in January which was offered by Napoli. A figure of 8 million was what they wanted so unless we were to shift on a few players it probably prices us out of any deal for him.

rangers fan coming in peace.

simon ferry ex celtic player is a good friend of mine and he keeps in regualr contact with some of the younger lads and hs told me that the reason feruz is wanting to leave is he is really unhappy with the way celtic youth is getting run.apparantely its been gettin worse each season since tommy burns died and a lot of the younger guys are trying to get out.

dont shoot the messanger just passing what i have heard

Believable10 Unbelievable18

If the Celtic youth set up is run so badly how has it been so successful over the past couple of years and why are so many players coming from other clubs to join it, including this summer Dylan McGeogh and Omar Bogle who both turned down contracts with Rangers to join up at Lennoxtown.

Agree0 Disagree0

Feruz is a bit young to be making calls on how the youth tean is run. What is he....15? Most 15 year olds aren't quite sure what day of the week it is, never mind how a football club should be run. Perhaps he'd be better off concentrating on what he's supposed to be doing on the pitch. If he's such a genius his career will look after itself.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said to the post above.. couldn't have put it better myself

Agree0 Disagree0

Feruz has been away from Celtic for the last 12 months ... Told Celtic he was going to London for a family wedding but trained with Chelsea for 3 days so Celtic told him to bolt .... Fact

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm also a Gers fan and let's face it any young boys who have a sniff of a chance to make it at either Rangers or Celtic would be stupid not too try and take it. They're massive clubs with great history and to train with them would surely be an honour?

Agree0 Disagree0

Bang bang pretty pretty bang bang i dont think so no no no

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats not fact an he played last year so dont start spouting utter BS an put fact infront of it

Agree0 Disagree0

Feruz has upset just about everyone in the youth set up with his attitude.If you think this is bull ask anyone who's son is involved,not enough space or time to tell you half the stories

Agree0 Disagree0

I heard this too. my mate is friends with jordan lowdon and said he left because the youth coach picks his favourites and treats the rest poorly.

kirkland to be in monday medical and press confress set check with stv. com

Believable3 Unbelievable19

Nowt on stv.com that i can see - link to story please.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rubbish nothing on there .

hail hail

Marco1888

Agree0 Disagree0

It isn't a story, he/she made it up. not a very good attempt and also a garbage keepr to boot

Agree0 Disagree0

If your going to make up a rumour, make it interesting at least. Kirkland would neither get celtic fans in a fit of hysteria or down in the dumps. he is half decent and better than zaluska but wouldnt get us going like signing the likes of given would have done.

Celtic frustrated in attempts to offload fringe players so far. That has held up activity. European match worth around £4m in net revenues too so any major activity will happen in last few days of the month. Bellamy still main target. Another forward on top of that, goalkeeper, centre half, and loan deal for left back all planned. If we have still not offloaded hooiveld, rasmussen, cha, and murphy by end of the month then they will all go on loan. Offers in for all of them to go on loan but we are holding out for permanent transfers. Lenny scouted Matthias Jorgensen the other night - pacey, right sided centre half from Copenhagen

Believable14 Unbelievable8

Mentioned Jorgensen last year. He's one of several Copenhagen players being watched by Celtic. Would be a very very good addition. Proper prospect who already has enough experience to come in and play.

Agree0 Disagree0

There is no revenue of 4mil

season tickets are included for this game.

Agree0 Disagree0

If we don't get through then we don't into the Europa league, which brings the 4m in revenue
