What about bobby Zamora! I hear he is aloud to leave for about 1.5m! Was great target man on their uefa cup run ! {Ed007's Note - QPR are supposedly sniffing around.}

Believable5 Unbelievable7

Be great for us.wages be too high i,d imagine.

Agree2 Disagree1

I've heard he's "aloud" to leave as well! Big noises coming out of Fulham lol

Agree2 Disagree2

I see the spelling police are "abowwt" tonight - JB

Agree4 Disagree1

When was Bobby Zamora a target man .We need big powerful striker . Someone that will hussel other teams defenderers.
Like a Sutton or Hartson .Com on Neil you know what we need .

TamBhoy1974

Agree1 Disagree1

Neil knows alright , it's lawell that doesn't , who bought bangura, lawell??

what about someone like Pavyluchenko or Owen used to do it too maybe a nice comeback is in order...i believe they would be in our price range and add some euro experience...
saw helder postigas name in pro evo last night
forgot he even existed

Believable4 Unbelievable11

I would love to see pav at celtic park, his wages would be astronomical tho, way beyond robbie keanes.

i remember years ago we had a chance of signing him for about 2-3m, then a couple of years later he went to spurs for about 15m {Ed007's Note - Keane was on of Spurs highest earners. Harry Redknapper is always moaning about the strict wage structure.}

Agree1 Disagree3

I thought pavyluchenko was on more, i remember he scored a hat trick a few years ago, maybe just after he signed, and the commentator said something like 'well that was worth 100k'. might be because of goal bonuses though, but he'll still be out of our price range {Ed007's Note - Keane and Crouch were their highest earners on £65K a week, since then Modric (from £45k to £90k) and Bale (from £35 to £70k) are their top earners. They broke the £65k a week mark to stave off interest in Modric from Chelsea and in Bale from just about anyone. I'd hazard a guess Pavlyuchenko is on about £60k a week.}

Agree0 Disagree1

Bet ur happy about Bale being on such high wages Ed? I know how much u luv him ?!?
Lol
CB ;) {Ed007's Note - He is one of the most over rated players in the EPL, wait till he loses his pace and he will be rank.}

Reading Jamey is possibly out for the game v Dundee utd, anyone think we should take McGinn back??
CB

Believable6 Unbelievable21

Not if you paid me

Agree6 Disagree0

McGinn was very promising, but seems to be somewhat injury prone, and has never quite made it to the next level to be a regular. Really like him as a player but I think we have better options. Think NL does too otherwise why else we looking at the icelandic winger?

Agree8 Disagree0

Sorry CB he's always been a favourite of mine but I think he's had his time.

I'd prefer young Dylan McGeouch to get a start and we've plenty of other options just now.

Shaunybhoy

Agree15 Disagree0

Nope, we still have Commons, McCourt and McGeouch. Depending on defence and midfield pairings there's also Mulgrew...

Agree9 Disagree1

Nah

Samaras ledley wanyama brown decent mid, also have ki sung dave

Agree2 Disagree2

We have far better young players than mcginn awaiting there chance, mcgeoch would get my vote before ever bringing mcginn back

Agree10 Disagree0

I liked McGinn. More often than not impressed me in the appearances he made and chipped in with a few goals.

Problem is he's always injured and besides being extremely quick I don't think there's a great deal else to his game. I also don't think he's much use when it comes to doing defensive duties. An out-and-out winger. Maybe getting regular games elsewhere might benefit his chances next season but I don't hold out much hope for him.

IMO goes down as another signing not given a proper opportunity and he probably won't be either.

Agree0 Disagree3

I think mcginns contract is up in the summer so I doubt we'll see him again

Agree5 Disagree0

Brown will play on the right, Sammy on left probably and then take your pick for the middle, ledley, ki, Wanyama, etc.

Agree0 Disagree0

Read the other day that someone thought we needed a play maker now that Kayal is out. Ledley was the playmaker whilst at Cardiff and was fantastic so I'd like to see him given the chance to pull the strings. God knows we've played him in every other position possible so let him show us what he has to offer? IMO he's one of our best players does a lot of the hard work but never gets enough credit for it, just IMO tho.

Heard that the lad Ibrahim has really impressed on his trial and it looks likely that he will be offered a contract.
Personally I'm not sure abnout this one. I do like cultured midfielders but can't see someone as small as this lad being able to handle the cloggers of the SPL.

Also heard the jury is still out on the other lad Sigurdsson. His people have other trials lined up for him and we might hold off to see how they turn out.
HH
/BB

Believable9 Unbelievable3

Looks decent

Agree2 Disagree0

Also heard good things about Ibrahim, but he's in an area of strength for the team. If he's not playing he might not be happy (seeing as he arranged to cancel his contract with Feynoord to get first team playing time). Sigurdsson is an area where I think we need help - an out and out winger would be useful when the inevitable injuries and suspensions pile up in February and March

Agree6 Disagree0

Both really impressive and young should sign both,,,wages wouldnt b 2 much,,,plus being so young would have sell on value,,,,win-win

Heard Guti has been linked with Celtic this morning, could be back up for Kayal now he's out for the season? {Ed007's Note - He wants to move to Asia before he retires.}

Believable2 Unbelievable13

Aye a past it 35 year old who'll be on around £60K+ pw is exactly what we need.
Sweet Jeezus!

Ed I heard today that the situtaion with Juarez has changed again and now Zaragoza have no plans for him for the rest of the season and have advised his agent to find another loan club.
Do you think there would be a chance to bring him back in to cover Kayal's position?
He played well in there at the start of his time with us and if he played so often in Spain he must be half decent.
HH
/BB {Ed007's Note - Zaragoza want to free up a squad place for another non-EU player so he has been told to find another club. He can still sit tight if he wishes as it is a season long loan he is on. I don't think he will be back at CP mate, he will probably stay in Spain or go back to Mexico.}

Agree6 Disagree1

Great we player aswell jst not given the chance

Another freddie?

Just saw on the bbc gossip wedsite that the darkside are after a swede called marvan celik?? cant see that going down well lol. any updates on our transfer activity ed? sean {Ed007's Note - Nothing concrete Sean, sorry.}

Believable6 Unbelievable2

No problem mate cant find anythin on the net either just the usual stories.

Agree1 Disagree1

I even laughed at this one and am a rangers fan imagine it celik scores for rangers against celik unusal

campbell {Ed007's Note - How many Rangers fans would get his name on their shirt Campbell? :-)

Agree5 Disagree0

Not one that's for sure but i very much doubt it will happen

campbell

Agree3 Disagree1

I always knew you lot counldn't spell

nizzy

More like marvin fae the scheme
TT 88 {Ed007's Note - Laugherty is injured I thought?}

Possibly out of our league but what about Bojan Krkic from barca ed? mcp81 {Ed007's Note - He signed for Roma in the summer for 12 million Euros, Barca have an option to buy him back this summer for 17m Euros or in 2013 for 13m Euros. Roma can cancel out the buy back clause by paying an additional 28m Euros.}

Believable0 Unbelievable6

.......talk about being deluded LMAO

TTG

Agree5 Disagree1

We should do that with hooper....
sell him for 9...we can buy him back for 3 in 2013 or 2 in 2014
if they want to cancel the clause they owe us 30m
ha ha
barca are bold as hell

Agree3 Disagree0

Barca are bold as hell

them and madrid do it with almost every youngster they sell

Agree1 Disagree0

Crosas was a similar deal when he signed for us.

Nigel Adkins wants hooper at southampton for 6m,
Steve

Believable8 Unbelievable11

I like the way it is being reported that Celtic are playing "hard to get" regarding Hooper by Southampton, not sure they understand the term "not for sale"...

Agree12 Disagree2

Thats possible, but then again lots of clubs would like Gary Hooper.

I would like Messi and Ronaldo at Celtic but it aint going to happen.

Hooper wont be at Celtic forever but im sure he will be here a few seasons yet and once he does go it will be for a hell of a lot more than 6m

Agree8 Disagree7

I would take that for hooper as i think he's got a wee bit lazy lately.also heard lenny was raging at him getting his agent up to extend a contract with nearly two years left on it.

Agree3 Disagree10

A hell of a lot more than 6million what you expecting to see?
Tt

Agree3 Disagree3

What he wants is immaterial mate. Add another few million on then we might consider. This guy has now proved himself at each level he's stepped up to. Still only 24 as well. Re contract, why shld NL b raging? He's done a great job, proven that he's the real deal, wants to commit for long term n justifiably shld b given a better wage

Agree6 Disagree0

If jelavic is worth 10 mil (according to some but not me) then we shood be asking for 10 mil for hooper who is a better player IMO
davie c

Agree11 Disagree6

That last comment is laughable...

Agree2 Disagree11

If cahill is only going for 7 mill regardless of time left on contract hooper and jelly are not worth 6mill let alone the stupid amounts being quoted on here

Agree0 Disagree6

Cahill's contract is up in the summer so you cant really compare the deals. If Cahill still had years on his contract he would be going for 20million plus.

Mac

Agree3 Disagree3

Yeah but cahills a better player than hooper and jellyfish put together {Ed007's Note - Says who?}

Agree0 Disagree7

Cahills average but gets overrated because he plays in the mon£y league and is english

Agree9 Disagree0

Yeah IMO Chris Samba at Blackburn is a better CB. Don't understand why Chelsea would rather have Cahill.

Ed heard the rumour that Celtic are set to offload McCourt to blackpool for a mil

Believable12 Unbelievable4

Would be sad to see the weeman go, but anything in the order of £1M would be too good to refue IMHO.
Could be put to use buying Salihi AND El Allagui with change to spare so no brainer if true!
HH
/BB

Agree7 Disagree5

Wld take that in a minute. Sad as he defo has the skill factor but just cannot command a regular game. That money along with funds/releasing of wages of at least half a dozen squad members cld go on a ch n I'd love j Rhodes
Ed- is it possible we'd spend £5m on Rhodes? {Ed007's Note - Is he worth £5 million? Coming from League 1 I doubt it. I can't see him moving anywhere this window. I would be shocked if he did.}

Agree2 Disagree1

Whose El Allagui?

Bravetart86 {Ed007's Note - Falkirk player, Crawley Town are in for him.}
