Can see a lot of people being unhappy with this. However, we are well short on strikers so I'm sure he'll just be a squad player, with cash there to bring in a quality striker.

Giving br worked under a committee for player signings at liverpool and a budget at swansea do we actually know what his type of player/ signing is? anybody ideas?

I watched an inter die with BR asking him how the committee worked and he said that the way it worked was that he and the rest of the committee would put a list of players together and if the player he wanted was not there he would have to then pick from that list. In the case of ballitelli he said that it was the owners who wanted to bring him in as they could not get the player they wanted and the owners wanted BR to work with him try get the best out of him and not BR choice. BR was asked if he questioned the owners and his response was that conversations where taken place to that affect but at the end of the day that's what the owners wanted and he went with it because there was nothing else. But hopefully he will not be working under a committee he will only be working against the financial constraints that we have.

{Ed001's Note - did he also mention why Balotelli ended up being the only option left to the club? That he had dithered over signing after signing that were set up, only for him to change his mind, in Loic Remy's case after a medical had been passed. He is spinning the truth massively as usual.}

He said that they thought they were getting Alexis Sanchez who would be able to press in high areas of the park replacing Swarez spelling wae off sorry. But he went to Arsenal so with time running out the committee wanted BR to go with Ballolelli in the hope it would work.

The issue at Liverpool was mainly down to the manager, but now we have fixed that issue, we have already brought in 3 players for the positions you mentioned, so they should not be an issue. It is left back that is our priority because Moreno is utterly woeful.}

Any manager wants to improve his side y Rodgers would be happy with no strikers apart from griffiths and one reliable right back and a mismatch of midfielders that he can't be sure of where the are best suited is beyond me. He must make signings and improve the squad not quantity but quality!
