This Ralph Topping guy,whats his game? he seems to be shouting about sponsors walking away due to uncertainty surrounding the SPL. One question Ralph,who's fault would that be? Thats right the team you are bending over backwards to let in your league.Great work though Ralph.............green jhedi

Believable5 Unbelievable5

Ralph is one of ours is he no? {Ed007's Note - Human? I am not so sure. I have heard he is a shape shifting lizard who belongs to the same branch of The Illuminati as a certain Craig Whyte. (Motherwell branch).}

Agree0 Disagree0

Only the beginning Jhedi.
Are you starting to get the picture now?
Sponsors walking away... you's were warned to be careful what you wished for.
Stevie-A-Bear

Ha ha the Green Jhedi is well named Ed coz he's clearly on a different planet from most of us ;0 {Ed007's Note - There will be no slagging of any Star Wars products on here :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh aye Steve its all Celtic supporters fault Rangers are in financial meltdown. Rangers caused this themselves, not through the wishful thinking of Celtic supporters.

What if a club was set up to play in conf or blue sq league a team that "ground shared" with Celtic .
If this team started moving up through the lowewr leagues and their "landlords continued to play in the SPL .The landlords "sell" Players to the tennewnts as things progress .Final product Landlords playing a development team in spl whilst "tennents" buy from their landlords whilst playing in the upper tiers of the English leagues ?.... TTTS Maybe too much vodka and time on my hands ED ? {Ed007's Note - No worries mate lol.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

I had similar thought too mate but apparently UEFA have now closed the loophole so your stadium has to be in the country you play in. Could mibi challenge the law in human rights court but how long would that take and who's to say it would succeed.

Agree0 Disagree0

"your stadium has to be in the country you play in" Are Cardiff and Swansea's home stadiums not in Wales ?

Agree0 Disagree0

UEFA closed the loophole! Meaning that you now have to have your stadium in country your playing in. Swansea & Cardiff were in league before the loophole was close!

Morality is rapidly disintegrating in Scottish society. It seems that it is
okay to steal and cheat honest working small businesses. Is this how
we want our country to be run?

Believable17 Unbelievable5

Wake up , it is how the world has been run for over 70 years, why would it change now.

Lost Bhoy 50

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with the original poster this is different this is blatant not concealed by corporate lawyers but cheating in the public eye. maybe you should wake up!

Agree0 Disagree0

Basically, yes. It is.

Agree0 Disagree0

Is that the same as Ireland facing huge austerity measures to pay off Massive debt, run up by the corrupt suits, and past on to ordinary folks! Should Ireland be bailed out? Corruption is rife everywhere, and it would be wrong to say nothing, but let us not judge. {Ed007's Note - Are you honestly comparing Rangers problems to an entire country's? Where does your patronising arrogance actually stop? It took all week, but take a bow, you are officially Kn*b Of The Week. It's a competition all of us Eds run over all the sites, if you send in your details we will send you a prize of a colouring book and crayons (see if you can stay in the lines), a voucher for an free eyebrow wax and anything we have kicking about from the Early Learning Centre.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Dear Ed, Steady on it wasn't that good! But the crayons will come in handy to draw a picture of you on yer high horse.

It was YOU ya t**t that posted a text comparing Rangers corruption with the downfall of morality in SCOTTISH SOCIETY & OUR COUNTRY! Rangers must be MASSIVE! Ya dimwit.

Picasso {Ed007's Note - You're obviously an idiot who is blinded by either arrogance or your stupidity. I think any country's problems are more important than a corrupt to the core football team.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed, of course Ireland's financial troubles are of far greater priority than Rangers, YOU have missed the point! Its an analogy. Are people taking the moral high ground with Ireland, no! They have enough problems.

But SOME of you, then see it right to attribute the downfall of morality in Scotland to RFC! How pathetic.

As Editor you should have common sense to send that post to the bin! But no, you go of on a rant because someone draws attention to it. The point is, just quit the morality act, it stinks of poison ivy! Rangers are in the process of being judged by THE JUDGE, and rightly so, as they have made an arse of it. {Ed007's Note - The minute Alex Salmond phoned HMRC to discuss Rangers problems it became society's problem. A political figure should not be getting involved in this, ask UEFA.}

Agree0 Disagree0

And you had the audacity to call me an idiot! In case it has escaped your attention. Rangers are one of the oldest football clubs in the world, the other half of THE old firm, that is, the social safety valve that has helped to maintain sanity in sectarian Glasgow for over a hundred years, besides huge financial repercussions, it would be a powder keg should Rangers cease to exist. And you are saying that our National Government are wrong to be concerned! lol! you are danger to the poor people on this forum, Editor! Keep the crayons and eye wax, you won! {Ed007's Note - I am not saying it is wrong for the government to be involved, UEFA are, remember Sion? Does sectarian Glasgow cover your 120 year signing policy, that didn't exactly help stamp out sectarianism did it? Would you like to explain why it would be a powderkeg if Rangers cease to exist, are you saying that Rangers fans would resort to civil unrest or some other darker methods of protest? And as for financial repercussions, what is worse than not paying bills, the repercussions have already been felt. I was always going to win anyway, I usually do against blinkered idiots.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I was always going to win anyway, I usually do? Is that not Arrogance!

Its obviously that you have never witnessed sectarian violence, I hope you don't its awful. Or maybe your just blinkered. You did say, it is wrong for the Government to get involved, be accountable for what you write Editor.

Are you saying Rangers have no merit at all in there history or community? You are a bigot, both have a lot to be thankful for too. {Ed007's Note - It's not arrogance, it is only a fact. As for sectarian violence, I have the scars to prove it after being stabbed multiple times and left in the street after the 6-2 match, and my family still carry the mental scars from the hospital, I hope that passes your test of my credentials. I did say it was wrong for the government to get involved, I wasn't giving an opinion on it, I was stating a fact. I am not a bigot, I just can't be arsed arguing with people who are so blinkered and stupid to see facts without their blue tinted glasses. You obviously struggle to comprehend basic facts and I have better things to do than argue with tools like you.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Picasso here,........ {Ed007's Note - No worries Picasso. I am more than happy to draw a line under it all, take care mate.}

Going by recent history,i dont think we should give rankers any tickets for Paradise.Who's gonna pay the bill for the usual damage they cause? And it might be much worse given the state they are in just now.............green jhedi

Believable21 Unbelievable4

Well said it would be madness to give them any tickets , we'll be left with a huge bill for the destruction they'll cause in the lions stand....Stevie

Agree0 Disagree0

I understand through some Killie mates that there was over 10k of damage done on Saturday. Anything to say about that ? No i didnt think so. {Ed007's Note - No mate, you need to take a closer look at the pics you see on Twatter. Or maybe the other pics you look at are affecting your eyesight. The chairs were a different shade of blue than Kilmarnock's. Ask your mates how many seats were damaged and how much a seat costs to repair or replace. Over 10k seems a very vague estimation for people who are obviously experts in the cost of stadia seating.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I think it will be interesting to see what happens. Last game at Ibrox Rangers demanded the ticket money up front as that was the agreement that is in place. Lawell got pelters for "taking too long" to hand over the cash, I think it was payed a few days before the game as usual?
So now presumably rangers will also pay up front, as agreed, and within the usual timescale? A couple of days before the game will be quite acceptable thank you.

So the mighty cousins of william are handing tickets back for the semi final? No doubt,if given the chance,we will snap them up.Fair enough,except for one thing.The semi final cash take is split four ways.So yet again we are more or less paying for their empty seats.How can a league expect to grow unless it stands on it's own two feet?We are now in the position where rangers cannot be punished properly because financially,the losses to the SPL might be too great.All authorities in the game in scotland have been milking both us and rankers for so long they seem to be fresh out of any blue sky thoughts.If you as a business,spend more than you turnover then im afraid you should resign as you are not paying due diligence.These clubs need to downsize or forever be feeding from scraps from the table of away fans.For me, they have a chance to get their house in order due to rankers problems.Rankers in div3 would represent a chance to achieve a higher league placing meaning more money,and with the bonus of more cash spread out in the lower divisions.Players would have to accept lower,more realistic wages or go part time.Youth would come to the fore as a natural money saver.TV is the one thing that constantly raises its head in this argument.If they dont get a deal worth taking refuse it.Internet streaming will kill sky etc soon enough,so let clubs stream their own keeping all the cash.That brings me back to my original point,i would not mind giving cup money if celtic had their own tv rights.Who knows we might even see that ancient art of "gawn tae the fitba" return instead of sitting watching at home.........green jhedi

Believable14 Unbelievable1

I agree with most of what green jhedi says. The fact that the other clubs sit on their hands and do nothing to encourage their support or grow their support amazes me. I mean what are their commercial managers doing apart from getting a seat in the box? There ar emany initiatives obvious by their absence, Buses to games a free pie and bottle of water, participation with local schools etc etc. One possible idea would be to aggregate the season tickets/match ticket. If the break even or desired cash from match A is X, then any number of ways can be found to increase the gate and thereby reduce cost of entry to the fan. The incentive to get more into the ground is a reduced cost for that game. There are a hundred things thay could do but arent...except milking CFC that is! Sopot Celt

How should we demonstrate? One option: At the next set of SPL matches, for the first minute of the game, turning our backs on the action and being totally silent while banners were unfurled with a simple message "No integrity, no sport" The one minute would symbolise the fate awaiting the SPL. Thousands of fans prepared to turn their backs on the game

Believable14 Unbelievable2

What fans taking legal action,drag the spl/sfa to the court room then get the truth

Dundee utd fan suggested the same thing so other clubs want justice.would the TV show it NAH!........green jhedi

No matter what happens to Rangers, they will be weakened for many years on the back of this! They also cant play in europe, and who in their right mind would sign for then in this mess? Get a reality check, enjoy what we have lets not worry about rangers.

Daily Ranger linking Celtic with a move for Gordon in the summer. Gomes of Spurs would be available for free also but i'd like to see them strike a deal with Fraser.

Believable9 Unbelievable3

I'd really like us to sign big Forster if at all possible. I think he's grown into the team and has proved his ability. It's hard to find good goalies but I think he's well worth signing.

Agree0 Disagree0

Gomes...GTF

Agree0 Disagree0

Gomes is one of the most overrated goalkeepers i've ever seen, Gordon spends more time on the treatment table than on the pitch. Forster has grown into a reliable keeper

Reading the DR with interest this morning. Did anyone really expect Duff & Duffer to announce ther preferred 'bidder' on time? They haven't met any of there own 'deadlines' yet. Convenient excuse, to report that the SPL's announcement on rule changes is "disruptive and regrettable." Laughable. Imagine if a new 'owner' took over and then the SPL announced rule changes - if at all.
Rangers have to be punished. Liquidation is inevitable in my opinion. There is not enough cash-flow available through the SPL while at FULL STRENGTH AND WINNING to repay £100M+
If they do go into liquidation at least we should know the punishment in advance. For the DR to report that administrators and potential buyers are somehow caught unaware by the SPL move, is yet another piece (in a very long line) of lazy Sycophantic journalism.

These so called penalties against rangers are farcical.How does taking tv cash hinder them? no europe means plenty free midweeks for cash gathering friendlies,that would make the shortfall up easily......green jhedi

Believable15 Unbelievable4

All the best euopean teams are tied up midweeks who would they attract , teams that couldn't qualify , would you pay every second week to watch that meaningless drivel, bb

Agree0 Disagree0

I share the disgust at the blatant cronyism of the SPL / SFA however the governing authorities have always run Scottish football for the benefit of the Old Firm , admittedly preferablely for Rangers, so it comes as no great surprise that they are now trying to bail them out to keep the Sly TV deal alive. They need a 8 out of 12 vote to get it through so will soon see which member club chairmen have a pair of testicles.

Agree0 Disagree0

Reply 1;my point is it dznt matter who they play as the place would be full,it's a money making event.If the fans trusted the new regime,and knew the cash was all for a rebuild they would fill it........green jhedi
