Been speaking to a guy tonight who is convinced it's Rogers who will be the next manager he is a youth coach who is friendly with some coaches at Celtic told me to put a few quid on it and it will be announced very very soon I laughed it off but he was adamant told me to watch this space, read tonight that Swansea are sticking with there current manager and after what Ed007 heard earlier this week could it possibly be true! We will wait and see!

I wonder if Swansea have decided to stick because Rodgers has already decided on his nxt club elsewhere? Celtic, West Brom, Newcastle? It's all pretty much pie in the sky!
I've no said a word because I've no got a clue and couldn't even guess, who it will be and what changes are coming? I was wrong before and will be again lol
All I do know is it can't get any worse 😊.

DH88 just think that he might fit the Pedro profile and will not cause too many problems for the Board just like RD. I know all of the high profile managers would want too much control and Pedro is not for going that route. Who knows!

CELTIC denied that they approached Keane I find it hard to believe that it will be him he's at the euros with his country plus he said he wouid wait till after the euros get Bk into club management let's just say we must be getting Every step closer with the new manager being appointed IMO.

Even in with the group who check in and post on this site, no matter who is manager you will get some people who are critical and will complain. I've realised that with the way people are it's impossible to please everyone. Peoples opinions are so varied on here that we're going to still get the monotonous generic nonsense that we have had over the past while. Moyes? Rogers? Keane? Lambert? Clarke? Lennon? Larsson? No one can say yes that's the one for me so still going to get negativity. It's exhausting.

All you can do is give yourself the best possible chance. I've said a million times that the manager is the most important person at any club. We have to get the best man possible, we have to pay whatever it takes, even if it impacts on players we can buy. It goes without saying that everyone's not going to be happy, but everyone I speak to would be much much much happier with Rodgers than Lennon or Lambert. The board should be doing as many background checks, and speaking to people with any standing in the game as humanly possible. They obviously didn't do that before they appointed Mowbray, Lennon and Deila. I would like Prandelli or Rudi Garcia, even Lucien Favre or Bielsa/ Sampaoli (with an interpreter) . They will go British/ Irish though and I would go Rodgers, Moyes, Coleman, Neil, in that order. I doubt O'Neil will come back, he's also the favourite for the Everton job. My worry with Keane is the style of football, if someone like Stevie Clarke would be head coach then I'd be happy, but Clarke wouldn't accept that unless he got a managers wage. Who knows who Keane would choose himself, - I don't think he really has any pals, certainly none who would have us playing proper football. He brought in Gary Ablett to Ipswich, who he hardly knew, had no experience, and of course has sadly passed away.

{Ed007's Note - I haven't, sorry.}

Prob nothing in it last min betting cause foke think something will be announced Monday and was prob good odds.

I hope not him as manager what has he done as a manager? Besides that he will be with Ireland at the Euros.

Agree0 Disagree1

10 May 2016 16:35:28
It is usually the case Rich.

If it is RK though, he'll have to get his coaches in straight away if it's him picking them with the Euros etc. Who do you think he would pick Ed? Walford and Guppy? What's your thoughts on MON as a DoF? Obviously that would mean a big vacancy at the club until July.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I've no idea who he would bring in as coaches. I think it's all a bit too box-office/fairytale stuff with MON and Keane both coming to work for CFC, it's like someone's just writing a script to get the fans back onside, throw in Larsson as a coach and we'd all be creaming our boxers.}

10 May 2016 17:04:54
He Turned us down the last time what not to say he will again and if I were part of the board I would not give him a second chance to turn us down. We don't want to be seen as a club who are chasing managers I want the type who is hungry to be our manager no the other way about.

Agree2 Disagree0

10 May 2016 17:48:04
Rich t he turned us down possibly because the club weren't showing ambition and we were in a one team league. Next season interest in our league will increase with rangers in it and hopefully we will look to buy seasoned pros rather than projects. Fingers crossed its Roy from me and I can look forward to next season with someone who has the potential to drive us forward although I know some will look at it differently.

10 May 2016 18:20:25
I hear you Ed. To be fair though, there's a growing number of fans the club need to get back on side, one right here. I just hope good footballing decisions are made and not just ones with some sort of nostalgic heartstring being pulled. Ousting JP is the priority for me right now, I can't say for certain if i think MON would be a good DoF but I just want to see Rasputin gone.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - Whatever happens and whoever comes in there MUST be changes made to the player recruitment process. I wouldn't be too sure of MON as a DOF either, his footballing style was never exactly pleasing on the eye and seeing Keane's main plus point are his man-management and motivational skills rather than tactical nous it would be very similar to Lennon's tenure, the team would be all blood and guts with very little finesse or flair.
Fans have shown they aren't going to accept just winning any more, and I seriously doubt football under MON and/or Keane would be any better than we've seen in recent years but we all know both of them would be given more slack than other possible candidates.}

10 May 2016 12:36:30
Monday seems to be the day that all will be revealed, the papers, the sites, even the bbc world service getting in on it, Rodgers seems to be on everyone's lips, but Moyes being cut again by the bookies, and some papers saying that Desmond will only open the cheque book if MoN and Keane come in, Keane as manager, with MoN as director of football while keeping the Ireland job, Roll on Monday.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

10 May 2016 13:30:26
If that's what they are thinking and Celtic do have something to announce it will no keep till then somebody will let it slip before Monday but I think they are wae off making a announcement due to no hint of discussions wae anyone usually there are rumoured reports across the media about some kind of talks with candidates but nothing being mentioned yet.

Whoever gets the job - it will not please everyone, but if it is to be MON and Roy Keane, most would be excited and optimistic - for a wee while anyway lol.

If Keane is anymore than a number 2 I wouldn't be optimistic and a know there are a lot with the same view as me.

10 May 2016 13:06:41
That would be good news.
Seems like a level headed Bhoy that knows he needs a few more years before taking the next step in his career.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - KT only signed a new 4 year deal in August so this must just be more like a renewal with a pay rise. Perhaps he had certain targets to meet to get the new deal or perhaps it's a hands-off warning to make sure that everyone knows if they want to sign him the Club'll be looking for top dollar. Whatever it is though it's great news to see him happy to extend his deal.}

10 May 2016 13:44:48
Heard it's was to ward off interest from Liverpool and arsenal

Agree0 Disagree0

10 May 2016 14:15:23
Think KT is the sort of player not to get his head turned by any club or money. Players like him don't come round very often.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I can't agree with you there, Kieran. People said the same about countless players over the years and personally, I don't think we've got a hope in hell of KT still being at CFC by the time he's 25 if he keeps developing the way he has so far.}

10 May 2016 15:03:14
Would be very hard for this board to refuse a sizeable offer but I do feel he sees a big future with us. Really all I'm going off is how much we see the club means to him and the usual we interviews, stories here and there.

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - I don't think he's in any rush to go anywhere but at some point he'll move down south and hopefully a big bag of money comes our way in return. By the time he's 25 he'll be just finished his 7th season for us, that's a long time for a player to be in one place these days, especially one with his talent and if he keeps progressing as we all expect.}

10 May 2016 15:22:48
Maybe won't be here when 25. But will for a few years yet. Last man off the park at Tynecastle you could see how much Celtic meant to him.

Agree1 Disagree0

10 May 2016 16:41:21
Would be surprised if he was here at 25.
But do think we will maybe get around 3-4 seasons out of him.

{Ed007's Note - I'm keeping not bad, thanks. We've got so many players in the squad that young players will struggle to break through. RD spoke of a squad of around 22 quality players and the rest made up of young players yet Lawwell and Park just kept on bringing in more and more average at best squad players.}

Hi ed in regards to an earlier post about DD son coming in I heard about a month ago he was going to be installed in the board room no clue as to Wht position but the reason was so that the board couldn't hide things like resolution 12 and the state of the club from him again his son would be there to tell him the truth of what's going on as apparently the board have not been totally honest about things with him the main thing is about redaloution 12s impact on the club and he's not happy
