Afternoon Ed,

Just had a text from one of my mates he's pretty decent with the ins and outs but I'm calling BS on this. He's said Rafa to be appointed tomorrow? Surely this is utter BS?

1.) 15 May 2019 18:27:06
toprig, we'd all love it to be true but. and that always seems to be our problem, there's always a but when it comes to major decisions. HH.

26 Feb 2019 08:45:08
Rodgers has left.

1.) 26 Feb 2019 09:03:16
with no statement from Rodgers or Celtic distancing for the Leicester job and now permission to speak to them, I wonder who’s decision it is for him to leave, I think Celtic will be glad as they don’t have to pay him compensation.

All about transferr kitty’s and the quality of previous transfers.

2.) 26 Feb 2019 09:24:20
Disgusted with him, just few weeks ago saying he was happiest he’d ever been, living the dream, no problem with transfer policy, knew what the job was before he took it etc.
To leave now, mid season with a treble treble in sight and to go to a club like Leicester just shows all he’s been doing is biding his time for first offer to come in.
Hope they get relegated!

3.) 26 Feb 2019 15:28:44
Lawwell will be lapping this up, get Lenny on the cheap, save on his wages and teams wages. 6 million from Leicester, offer that to whoever the next manager in in the summer, bonus guaranteed for him and his cronies. If Rogers can’t get funds out of him to improve what chance will anyone else after winning a double treble . And still the biggest outlay in the last window was for his bonus, wake up Celtic . He’s a very good business man but from my point of view he has too much interference in the football side, even the Ukrainian winger seemed to be signed from behind Brendan’s back. But still in saying all this, I’m gutted that he himself has chose to leave us in a critical point in the season. If he was in the dream job as he stated many times where is the lure of Leicester .
This is so typical of us as a club that from a position of strength we seem to throw it away.

14 May 2018 11:58:12
Ajer has just signed a new 4 year contract. Terrific news from the club this guy is going to be a top quality CB.

28 Aug 2017 18:20:54
ITS now been confirmed paddy is back through celtics Snapchat lads.

1.) 28 Aug 2017 18:41:52
The official ste confirmed it unveiled at 5pm presser tomorrow welcome home paddy. also given no 7 shirt.

2.) 28 Aug 2017 19:12:54
1 year loan deal there is no option to buy him.

16 Mar 2017 13:42:46
Roberts left out the under 21s, good for us!

1.) 16 Mar 2017 22:15:06
Good news he will be available. Great for our cause. For any that though there may be a slim chance of him staying. The u21s snub will make his mind up short term.

2.) 17 Mar 2017 06:47:38
I may be wrong and correct me if I am, but I don't think he has ever played for the U21 at international level. He was playing with the 19's recently and its the U20 World Cup squad he will probably be called up for.

3.) 17 Mar 2017 17:14:55
I don't get all the hype with roberts he's a good player but he can't actually hold down a starting slot for us and with forrest his competition says it all for me . It could also be he's on loan and rodgers would rather play forrest as he's our player but roberts seems to think he's going to go back and get in the city team haha good luck with that, I think he'd be a good signing for the right money.

Is Arzani fully fit now?

Just surprised if he is and not playing we haven't terminated the loan with the amount of attackers we have now.

1.) 05 Sep 2019 19:06:32
Might be cheaper to keep him than terminate his loan.

2.) 05 Sep 2019 20:34:56
Might be cheaper to terminate HIM than keep him on loan.

Ed what's your thoughts on the young lad Brophy?

He's a bright talent maybe wouldn't be at a level for us?

But could have a decent future in the game. He's a Celtic lad as well which earns merit points.

{Ed007's Note - He's certainly turning into a good SPFL player and he's a really nice lad off the pitch - I spoke to him a few times when he was at Accies - plus as you say he's Celtic daft but it would be a big step up for him to come back and play for us. There was never any doubt about his talent but he was seen as too small by us and then Hibs so he worked his ass off in the gym at Accies to build himself up and that's helped him out no end. I wouldn't be surprised to see Clarke take him down south if he decides to return there this summer at Championship level, not the Pub League though.}

1.) 21 Apr 2019 11:27:31
Ye, seems to have matured into a bullish striker. I remember him hassling the other mob the last time they played and he's got some pace about him.

If he sticks to it like you said he could get a break with Clark down south.

01 Feb 2019 08:06:51
I think what we need to remember is that it's a January transfer window. Teams don't want to let players go in this window unless it's for an absurd amount of money. So the loans we've done have to do till the summer.

I do however think that we'll need to get players in early doors for the qualifiers in the summer if Celtic aren't looking to try to extend weahs and Burke's loans/ possible permanent. Also 2 Cbs are going to have to come in as well as a Rb if the German lads loan deal isn't to be made permanent.

All in all it's the most productive January window I can think of in recent years with 7 signings.

14 Sep 2018 07:24:03
Ed what happened with the Scott Alan situation? Surprised they didn't let him terminate his contract to join Hibs.

{Ed007's Note - I think the McGinn fiasco put paid to Lawwell doing Hibs any favours.}

1.) 14 Sep 2018 17:56:10
And so it should ed007.

{Ed007's Note - Lawwell still deserves a swift boot to the stones over it though.}

2.) 15 Sep 2018 00:31:31
We all thought he would sign for us either that window or the next **** it we'll move on.

3.) 15 Sep 2018 12:57:46
Hibs valued too high, we bid too low. It was a difference of 500k. Pathetic. I lay that at PLs door. Did we offer SA as part of the deal? I didn't hear it. We wanted clean cash from hibs. In think they wanted the same. The fact we moved that late in the window for him makes me think he wasn't the first pick cm we had in mind?

I've got no allegiances to Scott allan but the lad has been messed about imo. Bought as a bragging right. Few loans. Found a club. Decent season. Then the political side has done him. The only club that wanted him was hibs, vice versa. I'm unaware of dark ins and outs but the lad has wasted a few years.

03 Sep 2018 07:27:12
Big Lafferty must've still been at his flute lesson yesterday because he most definitely wasn't at paradise.

1.) 03 Sep 2018 08:28:27
The only way they were going to win yesterday was if our team bottled it. I have watched their overhyped piss, led by Sevco fans in the press willing them to put us to the sword. They have got better than last year, but as I pointed out to my big Sevco pal many times, I could have got a game for last years team.

I have watched them closely and they are nowhere near our level. Our less than fantastic close season gave them renewed hope that a couple of wheels came AGF our bogey, they did in relation to making the CL, but not to the extent they were now better than us. I thought we would do them 4.0 and we should have. We pissed all over them. They had nothing, absolutely nothing.

The amount of times Gollum let their players off with their dirty Sevco bar steward hacking was criminal. Broom was booked for feck all, Eddy was booked for feck all. McGacjer should have been off, yet they moan about a 50/ 50 as if that was all that seperated us?

We stood up. We took them on and we slapped them down. It was a joy to watch. I actually love it that they have hope, they go over the top and all actually thought they would beat us. That increases the pain and this morning the have woke up to the excruciating painful reality that they are still miles behind us. That makes me so happy.

We have Benkovic to come in to make our defence even better, we have the young Morgan and Arzani to come in who I honestly believe will make an impact. Malumbu is also a player who provides cover and will give Ntcham and Broon a rest when needed.

The recent turmoil was their best hope. Like all of their hopes they are not based in reality. Slapped purple yesterday and they know it.

Boyata was brilliant yesterday as was Ntcham. We need to be aware that both might be leaving next year and the club need to plan for this in January. I would offer both new extended contracts now and if they don’t sign prépare to replace them in January. We cannot afford a repeat of the window we have endured. we sort that out and reach the CL next year we will be reaching 55 before they do, never mind 10iar.

Well done to all of our players and manager. Good luck to those who have come in. Push on now and show everyone who the top dogs are and we can sit back and laugh our stars off as Sevconia implodes as it surely will.

Trebles all round this year again. Then on to the CL riches that will ensure the nightmare for Sevco is a constant fact of life. Since EBT cheat Murray goaded us i have waited for the day we crush them into dust. Minds in the board need to be focussed on delivering that through Rogers. If they take stock of the failure of their approach this close season we will take the steps that put us out of sight. They must.

2.) 03 Sep 2018 09:33:01
Was Lafferty playing yesterday?

3.) 03 Sep 2018 10:54:05
He was playing his usual kick anything that moves in a Celtic strip. Feign injury, Brown didn’t even touch the big arse, he has a charge sheet as long as Argyje street for that the cheating person. Apart from that he was nowhere. Did nothing, created nothing,

Just like the rest of his rubbish team. Outclassed. Outfought, outthought and outplayed.

GIRFUY Laughable.

4.) 03 Sep 2018 13:32:00
Their excuses are, the team we’re tired from midweek game, and they showed Celtic too much respect, they also blamed the referee, but from where I was sitting he let them away with murder.

Ed hit the nail on the head. He's been playing beside brown who's touch has gone and passes have been horrendous. So Ntcham has had to cover or recover and drop deeper than he would like.

They’ve won one game in there first 3 league games. If anything it’s hearts that are flying atm. That Goldson couldn’t handle a bit of physicality.

I’m sorry but McKenna from the games I’ve seen him play has been nothing more than an average player. If we are going to be bringing in a CB (if someone leaves) . I’d expect better quality.

Isn’t really embarrassing. Why would we pay 4 million for a player we can get on a pre contract in 5 month.

So because I can’t make most of the games but happen to be ok to get a ticket for the semi final or final I shouldn't get one? So because there’s fans that can make every game it’s their right to get it? That’s what’s wrong with fans too many feel entitled.

Ed I’m with you on the picking on players. Even the likes of Sutton is manipulating the situation. He critiqued Ntcham but not brown or even Tierney when he had a bad touch. I feel in the final third we’re missing a playmaker someone who’s going to stick in a pass to our strikers. I know our strikers should do more but I feel Rogic and McGregor are falling into the commons category of more attacking midfielder/ shadow striker role and trying to get shots off than looking at what’s in front of them.
