is scott allan still injured?

toh1967

1.) 25 Oct 2015 12:16:33
I hope not. I have noticed at the games when we are playing good everything is focussed from the midfield especially the two wide players there good. But when Scott Brown stops playing one touch football the dense crumbles the we can't defend corners and therefor we give away goals. Scott Allan might be a good sub. Any suggestions?

Cole signed until summer 2017.

1.) 22 Oct 2015 13:30:08
I can only see this new signing working if we play two upfront and Ronny doesn't do this or won't do this so I can't understand it.

2.) 22 Oct 2015 14:11:51
I think it's a decent signing, I think lots of folk will say it's a terrible signing, but he's the type who was really rough when he started out and as he gets older he'll be a better and more clever player. He's not a world beater but will do well at Celtic. He'll have at least 2 years in him if fit. I think we might see Griffiths playing on the left of the attacking midfield 3; may not suit him, but he can actually take a man on!

3.) 22 Oct 2015 15:08:23
Mixed feelings on this. i'm glad we have a bit of cover but its too little too late. I've never really rated Cole and don't know why he is here when he will be 32 and a a drain on the wage bill by the time we are looking at targets in the summer. It also puts to bed the hope of bringing in anyone in Jan. He has only been signed as Cifti isn't cutting it so by jan/summer window we will have SS transfer fee which will cover the cifti outlay and possibly a slightly higher wage bill depending on what Cole has agreed and if stokes doesn't go. Invested nothing, two strikers brought in and the pair of them won't be first pick.

4.) 22 Oct 2015 16:29:29
Same mixed feelings, this player does not fit into any criteria that RD looks for?
I wonder how NC and LG. Is there a chance that RD will change his team formation?

However he is now 1 of the bhoys so welcome aboard the good ship #Titles r us
HH.

5.) 22 Oct 2015 17:00:24
Time will tell if he will be good for us. Wondering why the length of the contract was thinking Summer 2016 with us having the option of a further year would have been better for us but saying that welcome aboard now you are a bhoy always a bhoy.

Derry City looking for £300,000 for Duffy.Celtic not willing to pay that. Is Michael Kelly and his gang from the 1980's/1990's board back in charge again?. THIS IS A JOKE. PLUS GET GMS IN NOW.

toh1967

1.) 19 Jan 2015 12:45:11
Heard they'r wantin the boy over for 3rd trial! Now if u don't know if u want the player after he's been over twice and scored twice in a game then Uve got to ask if theyr doing there jobs properly! This is what we've become but! We could get him and GMS for a combined half a mill but we can't even do that! Embarssing is the word that springs to mind!

2.) He left today for Brentford, and Bournemouth waiting in the wings, we need to get a move on if we want a good player for the future

3.) The fact that its Brentford and Bournemouth that are waiting in the wings may tell you why we are unwilling to pay £300,000. Its a fair chunk of money for a player the manager is clearly not sure about.

4.) Pedrobhoy it just our board being tight as usual. Liewell making us a laughing stock.

5.) 19 Jan 2015 16:54:10
Chris, I do agree to a certain extent, but the fact is they want a third look at the player so perhaps they don't rate him at the asking price? Why should we just pay what we are asked? I would be happy to see GMS coming in now right enough!

6.) If they need to see the guy 3 times then there's sumthin wrong there! By all accounts the reports were good on the boy! 300 grand on I wouldn't imagine high wages represents no risk to us! It's just another example of us penny pinching and tryin to get every player for a few grand cheaper!

7.) Spot on Dangy1888, Pedrobhoy we must clearly rate him, I agree we shouldn't pay what we asked all the time but c'mon mate our boards penny pinching over the years a disgrace.

8.) Im glad they are wanting a 3rd look at player. Less chance of another bangura, pukki, balde etc.

9.) I take it Celtic must have asked for a price to get the 300k quote. I bet Bournemouth or Brentford would gladly pay that money for such a promising player. No doubt Celtic's interest has alerted other clubs to his availability.Time to stump up the cash or lose out to a non penny pinchin outfit who shouldn't even be considered as an alternative to signing for the Hoops!

10.) DN30

Makes perfect sense, let's spend around 2 million each on 3 average players on huge wages and then quibble over 300 grand for others.

11.) Everyone wants to get someone for as little as possible but the way Celtic go about their business we normally end up losing out on the player

Well it looks as though we won't be signing any new players. It also looks that our POTY last year could be leaving. Also still talk that VVD maybe leaving. The 1 player that will be coming in GMS, good signing by the way, won't be coming in till the summer, unless we pay £250,000 the now. Mr Peter Lawwell, can you really say that this club is improving?. I DON'T THINK SO.

toh1967

1.) All guesswork at the moment mate.

2.) Still early doors mate

3.) 25 Jan 2015 15:34:26
I just hope it's the usual Celtic keeping cards close to there chest.
If not Lawwell has some serious questions to answer.

DBB

4.) 25 Jan 2015 16:54:24
I think we have to just realise that we won't be bringin anybody in! I've said it before, are people really surprised? Look at the last 4 windows! Barely a penny spent and look how much we've brought in and got off the wage bill! Forster samaras Ledley to name a few! We're down sizing at an alarming rate I'm afraid! The quality just ain't there anymore! And talk of west brom wanting Armstrong is just another example were we are! Another good quality scot slipping threw our fingers because we won't spend! This is what we've become but.and before people say it's negativity it's really not! Just sayin it how it is! We as celtic fans aren't askin for the Earth in regards to buyin players, but sum quality to keep us interested! And I don't blame RD,this is Lawells doin!

5.) Why do so many fans want gms in this window.i may be wrong with this, he can't play in the league cup or the scottish cup due to his participation in these tournaments with Dundee Utd, not sure if he can play in europa league as Dundee Utd played in the qualifiers, if that's the case he wouldn't get time to settle in the side as he would be in and out of the team should we progress in these cups. For me the summer would be better, pre season training, possibly a tour that would give him time to get used to everything just my thoughts.killy.

I hope that Celtic are doing everything to keep John Guidetti at the club. He MUST be kept on the books. If they let him go it will be a disgrace. PL always says we are a big club, big clubs pay big wages. GET THE BISCUIT BOX OUT NOW. Kris Commons must also be allowed to stay. Why let a genuine good player go and bring in a CHEAPER option who might not be a good replacement, which usually happens.

toh1967

1.) If guidetti does stay won't he be a cheap options?

2.) I want Celtic to do everything that could reasonably be expected to keep GUIDETTI.
I don't think they can offer Commons a three year deal because he will be 32 in the summer and even now there are question marks against his fitness . He doesn't seem to naturally fit into Deila's style of play .

3.) 27 Nov 2014 15:56:37
sorry TTTS , how can you say JG would be a cheap option. he would cost £3-5 m and at least £40 k per week. How do you see that as cheap, having said that I do want us to sign him

4.) 27 Nov 2014 17:44:35
Hope for your sake you can secure JG. Actually a funny thing is that your teams taco nights could be the reason why he signs. Like Ibrahim (a norwegian player from the City youthsystem) said, if your not a star in that club nobody cares for you. So this can be a big factor. If you also win tonight and qualify for the knockout stages, he will play EL come january. So if you win tonight (i'll cross my fingers and toes, while watching), ill think you will get some good news in a few days/weeks.

I'm angry with the nutters with the flares-not the players. I agree with the players totally

{Ed007's Note - That doesn't surprise me in the slightest.}

when are these idiots going to learn. we'll probably have part of the ground closed or a game behind doors. idiots.

toh1967

{Ed007's Note - I thought the players were quite right to have a pop at the ref, his performance was abysmal.}

The biscuit tin is still there. Plus thought we would have brought in another CB. Last week we were beating Ross County 1 0 with 5 mins to go and RD brings on Ambrose. Those last 5 mins were not good for my heart.
