has any body heard that rodgers had an agreement with liverpool that part of his settlement package was he couldn't manage back in the premiership for a period of 3 years. if this is true then he was just sitting and waiting to dump us. karma will find him one day and soon i hope.

hi guys. do you think brendan would have came to paradise if he knew he was going to be operating in the loan market?

robroy1967

1.) 23 Oct 2018 05:55:06
No chance. You just need to look at his demeanor over the summers shambles to answer your question.

2.) 23 Oct 2018 07:16:45
We've had 4 loans that I can think of under Brendan and 2 of which we signed after.

3.) 23 Oct 2018 10:22:07
Operating in the loans market?
5 loans
Bain - signed
Edouard - signed
Roberts - tried to sign.
Daniel Arzani - reported option to by but need to wait and see
Benkovic - probably out our reach.
Clown fae Chelsea sent packing.

Dembele
Compper
De vries
Hayes
Sinclair
Morgan
Hendry
Gamboa
Toure
Ntcham
Benyu
Kouassi
Izzy

So out of 19 signings 15 of them have been permanent signing and one may have an option to buy.

So please explain how is operating in the loan market?

4.) 23 Oct 2018 10:10:47
No he wouldn't have and luckily he's not operating in the loan market.

5.) 23 Oct 2018 11:10:20
6 loans. Can't count 😂.

6.) 23 Oct 2018 12:53:30
Robroy1967,
That’s a really un-thought through comment.

Celtic has always had loanees in the modern era. Brendan would have expected it.

Loanees are normally high value players, sometimes beyond our financial reach. Big Filip is doing an excellent job and is worth £13m. Brendan will be happy he’s there helping to bring Brendan success.

It’s a great situation Celtic can attract such quality. It raises the game in Scottish football and is good for the whole game up here.

If you’re suggesting Brendan won’t get a sell on % cut of loanees, that might be there with contracted players then that’s a very mercenary attitude and would depend upon Brendan’s contract which I’m sure you haven’t seen.

7.) 23 Oct 2018 13:04:45
Grey Heid Bhoy I reckon it was a fully thought through comment looking for bites.

8.) 23 Oct 2018 13:53:54
Agree Kev, what could a Celtic fan have to gain from such a play?

9.) 23 Oct 2018 23:29:21
I don't mind a loan if it's a top. quality player. Roberts, Benkovic and Edouard are like somewhat our new marquee players. We can't afford/ refuse to pay for players like this (Edouard excluded) but agree if we are more strudent in recruitment we could have the bones of a great team. We all know here we need to invest just wish we would but 2 players a season in the mould of Ntcham. Promising youngsters waiting to step up to forst team. With the odd experienced player coming in too.

10.) 24 Oct 2018 10:25:30
the reason i asked the question wasnt loaded.
i just want a settled team to go for ten.
loan signings can cause uncertainty with clauses
that you need to play them. we have the cash so let's splash
it and show that mob what power we have. and i think brendan would like that flexibility also.

11.) 24 Oct 2018 13:16:05
It’s a three way balancing act:
1. Buy talented players (cheaply if possible)
2. Develop youth from Reserve Squad
3. Bring in proven loan talent

I think we get the balance right. You’re not going to get all three right. Giving youth game minutes can cost points and it’s a big step up for them (Hendry and Johnstone) .

The big failure is if you buy a player and he’s costly and a dud.

Loan players can be sent back in the next window if they’re gash.

12.) 26 Oct 2018 00:41:45
ghb i do agree with your logic but it can put off players from coming if they think a loan player will get preference. i am just impatient i want to spend 150 million but then i don't want to end up like the immoral mob. i am new to this forum stuff and do apologies if i started of wrongly.

just seen the photo of young ryan. what a mess. the thug would get 2 years in the pokie if he does that in the steet. get well soon ryan and come back and do your talking with your feet.

robroy1967

1.) 16 Apr 2019 11:15:09
And not your heid. Get well soon.

2.) 16 Apr 2019 11:28:19
Good job it was a late challenge in a football game then.

3.) 16 Apr 2019 12:51:01
Wee mciness said it was a 50 50 haha aye right.

4.) 16 Apr 2019 16:40:20
The club have just announced he has multiple facial fractures and will be operated on Thursday.

5.) 16 Apr 2019 16:41:53
One of ma mates seen him in the monklands fracture clinic this morning. A thought our players would be private health care. I'd be worried about him catching a super bug in that place.

14 Apr 2019 20:58:27
After watching the game today the only conclusion i can draw is that the sheep knew prior to kick of that they would be allowed to assault our players and i am convinced if the score was 1-0 that thug ferguson would only have got a yellow for his assault. OUR club needs to speak out about this before we lose a player for life because of this blatant refereeing bias.

robroy1967

1.) 14 Apr 2019 21:21:26
We have been far too quiet and accepting of this for nearly two whole seasons now and I am at a loss as to why no-one from Celtic has spoke up or used the abundance of video evidence to take them to task.
Every other manager/ club in Scotland are ultra-quick to defend their club and there are even those who have bad-mouthed our captain (and others) publicly and aggressively, while we remain silent.
The lack of protection and ongoing blind-eye epidemic has encouraged many opponents to assault and attempt to injure our players.

2.) 14 Apr 2019 21:32:23
What exactly do you want the club to say? That they want answers about the referee not intending to send off Ferguson even though he did send him off? He rightly sent off 2 of their players along with their management team and also gave us a penalty - all correct decisions.

3.) 14 Apr 2019 21:45:25
kev, did you watch that today? ferguson should have been booked for persistent fouling and was eventually sent off for that assault on
tom rogic. our players need protection for 90 plus minutes not just when the game is lost.

{Ed007's Note - Ferguson was already booked and Thomson still gave a straight red for his challenge on Rogic. I think it was Sutton that said even if he had won the ball he would have went off for a second yellow. I really don't know what people expected the ref to do differently on any of the big decisions.}

4.) 14 Apr 2019 22:01:01
Think that rat Ferguson spat at wee James as well . the ref was ok but the Forrest booking was bizarre as it was a foul.

{Ed007's Note - Oh yeah I forgot about that but Forrest made a bit of a meal of it imo. Why do players need to dive like a dying swan instead of just going down naturally?}

5.) 14 Apr 2019 22:20:25
ed ferguson hadnt been booked, that is my point he was allowed to consistently foul and it was only after the geme was lost before he was going to get punished.

{Ed007's Note - I was sure he had been booked earlier on because I was thinking he was walking a fine line after it. My bad.}

6.) 14 Apr 2019 22:48:36
He was booked before his red card. Only thing ref got wrong was the tug on Forrest but that was because Forrest dying swan act.
Moaning about ref just seems to be the default position for some people.

7.) 15 Apr 2019 06:54:08
I thought the ref was good yesterday
Some big calls but for me they were spot on.
Forrest went to ground far to easy although there was a pull on his jersey
What was Mcinnes sent to the stand for?

8.) 15 Apr 2019 12:25:42
we still ended with a player assaulted and his season is probably over.

9.) 15 Apr 2019 12:54:40
Agree he definitely got the Forrest one wrong. He went down theatrically but it was still a foul. He also should have booked Ferguson for persistent fouling but other than that I don't really know what there is to complain about.

10.) 15 Apr 2019 15:14:43
Players shouldn't go down like that, Forrest was grabbed slightly round the middle, but he went down like someone had superglued his boots together, why don't they ignored this "there was contact, so he was right to go down", nonsense, why didn't Forrest keep steaming in on goals and try to score instead of making getting a free kick or a penalty the priority.

10 Apr 2019 10:49:52
any mention of henrik being the new manager?

robroy1967

1.) 10 Apr 2019 11:00:15
Hope not.

2.) 10 Apr 2019 12:30:02
Best remembered as a Legendary player.

3.) 10 Apr 2019 12:35:47
kev you never know mate. he is free and won't cost too much, right down big pedros street.

4.) 10 Apr 2019 13:46:37
There's a reason he's free n won't cost much.

5.) 10 Apr 2019 18:16:22
He not took on an assistant managers job somewhere?

6.) 13 Apr 2019 14:14:52
He's an assistant manager in the 3rd tier of Swedish football. More chance of Rodgers coming back than Larsson.

31 Mar 2019 21:51:13
the fact burke and weah havnt had a sniff under lenny would tell me they will be returned in the summer, and lenny will pick his own loan players for 9 iar,

robroy1967

1.) 31 Mar 2019 22:07:37
Hopefully Lennon follows them, he's just not got it
Team was Garbage today.

2.) 31 Mar 2019 23:55:48
Was it better than the team at Ibrox?

3.) 01 Apr 2019 01:32:18
Team was not garbage today. They had a very good first half and a poor second half nut still dug deep and won they game.

4.) 01 Apr 2019 10:33:16
Kev I agree they weren't all that bad, very good first half, but Lennys decision to take Hayes off at half time changed something within the team dynamic, Hayes was very good at getting in their faces, and knowing that KT wasn't fully fit Hayes could have filled in when he went off. He set the team up well in the first half but I feel his changes didn't make much of a difference, why bring on Rogic when he's just back, when we have sharper players who are upto speed and can actually get past a man. Instead he brings on Rogic.

5.) 01 Apr 2019 10:34:21
Sent that too early sorry Ed, will update it when you post it. Was going to edit it but pressed reply haha.

31 Mar 2019 21:36:38
guys, what a result today to wind
up the league. knowing that the buffola comes from one of the most corrupt countries in the world (columbia) do you think it is possible he is fronting for a corrupt betting scam with all his stupid deliberate acts, baring in mind his previous club, he had a terrific record. just seems strange how all of a sudden he is a wee thug. your thoughts please.

robroy1967

1.) 31 Mar 2019 23:47:09
I used to think that when mccoist was in charge, they had some really bad results on their 'journey', against wee teams, kept wishing I had put a bet on them drawing or getting beat, as it kept happening, thought it might be a betting scam, couldn't possibly be the same thing with Morelos, could it, the thing today, if Brown had given him a wee clip in the penalty box, he would have thrown himself to the ground looking for a penalty, but it wasn't near the penalty box, so he swung his arm, and the only outcome was a sending off, it's all speculation, but he never got sent off in Finland, so maybe he is being nobbled by the criminal shareholders that Mr King was talking about.

2.) 01 Apr 2019 00:31:08
Maybe he’s a drugs mule, the bags keep bursting inside him and sending him aff his heid. He needs rehab.

3.) 01 Apr 2019 08:22:07
Maybe he's just a d**k.

there is only one reason brendan is walking away to join a low level club and it is PETER LAWELL shame on him. i hope brendan doesn't sign any disclosure documents and comes out and tells the true fans the truth about what's going on, hh.

robroy1967

{Ed007's - Twaddle! The ONLY person to blame is Brendan Rodgers himself and his ego.}

all of a sudden we hear of this expansion, the real drivers behind this is the orcs who want our stand to be listed so we can't expand to the capacity we are capable of. let there crumble dome collapse with there team and support but leave our institution to flurish. HAIL HAIL.
