Any word on Janko's plans for next year? Appreciate he wasnt keen to stay prior to managerial change.

1.) 27 May 2016 08:46:59
Probably still the same mate cause don't think a new manager will change much if anything for him

On the subject of new rb if we can't get the lad from Chelsea maybe use janko as a makeweight for cyrus Christie. Been impressed with what I've saw of him but it being England he could have a crazy valuation slapped on him.

2.) 27 May 2016 19:45:58
Any further news on the boy from Chelsea Ed.

{Ed007's Note - Ed002 is travelling just now mate but I'll ask her about it when I next speak to her.}

Is there any chance we may have been the team turned down by the mighty bobby zamora?his description of the club involved made me worry.

phlipplop

1.) 05 Aug 2015 09:44:18
Missed that one ,what did he say mate?

2.) 05 Aug 2015 10:31:46
I seen that aswell very worrying we were after him and got turned down!He says that he turned down a team in the champions league and wins their league every season!Why even approach him??

3.) 05 Aug 2015 11:46:19
Is that what he said! Is that what we're going for now! Knocked back by has beens! Honest to god! Zamora is a diddy!! Never rated the guy! U heard anything about this ED?

{Ed007's Note - This is the first I've heard about it.}

4.) 05 Aug 2015 11:50:00
My thinking, after fear and dread. Was maybe we would sign him and 'convert' hinto a centre back.if we were the team in for him this suggestion is no less daft

5.) 05 Aug 2015 11:56:29
Names no teams ed but bbc have the story with him knocking back said champion league regulars.couldnt think of any others it could be really.

{Ed007's Note - I can't see it being anything to do with us.}

6.) 05 Aug 2015 14:59:03
Hope not ED! Surely we know better than to go after someone like him! Still holding out some hope we'll bring in another striker,hopefully of a decent standard! Zamora doesn't fit that category for me!

7.) 05 Aug 2015 16:50:40
Not us. Just announced on sly sports that it was a cypriot team. Apoel?

8.) 05 Aug 2015 20:34:03
As usual those who want to thing bad of Celtic put two and two together

In the spirit of moving on with what we have. Where do folks see ckr playing his part? from what was displayed he seemed hungry and up for it. Will Ronnie give 442 a go?

phlipplop

1.) 05 Feb 2016 19:35:29
He certainly looks as physical a striker we've had in many years! If he can add goals to his game and stay out of trinkets both on and off the park then we may be onto something! Not going to lie I was not happy when his signing was announced but he's here now so let's give him a chance to prove himself! He's surely better than Ciftci! If like to see him and LG pair up but RD highly unlike to go against his sworn 4-2-3-1.

2.) 05 Feb 2016 19:40:54
Would greatly surprise me if we changed our regular shape so much. Certain games/ situations two strikers is fair enough.

He will have more physical presence than LG. Again, certain games/ situations is needed. LG has surpassed my expectations - domestically - but for me, the pinacle of a 4-2-3-1 needs to be better at dealing with direct passes than LG can, although some of the passes to him are hopeful if not hopeless. But LG is a better footballer than CKR.

CKR can play wide too of course, that physical ball winner which can hold up and let the team move up the park. However from what I've seen of Roberts, he is much more talented and that's his areas.

I think CKR was 'forced' on the coaches, like most players.

In all, I see CKR just filling in in both these areas as second choice. Not a great signing.

3.) 05 Feb 2016 20:46:58
Surely we can't be considering dropping LG 27 goals and the shining light of the season. If it wasn't for home we wouldn't be top of the league.

4.) 05 Feb 2016 20:49:21
Flipflop I should hope he would be up for it considering it was his first 45 mins at a new club. I seen enough in that 45 mins tho to tell he"ll spend more time suspended than on the park.

{Ed007's Note - He was VERY lucky with that stamp.}

5.) 05 Feb 2016 22:22:36
As much as I long to say something positive - after such a disappointing week - I feel the manager will not change to 4-4-2 after all this time and even if he tries it out once or twice, he has proven his preference for one-up over two seasons.
CKR may then be have to play on the left and that will add to the surplus of midfielders that get paid for not playing.

6.) 06 Feb 2016 00:20:52
This is one of the many things wrong with Ronnie, he is a stickler for this outdated and antiquated system of playing one up front, from that first game that I saw him in charge, at Murrayfield, when he was playing McGregor or Griffiths, sorry i can't remember out wide, isnstead of a more central position, he has this one track mind, 'play one up front', play one up front 'probably goes to sleep at night with this playing on a loop, this is his mantra, he has done it with Stokes, Mcgregor, Griffiths, and when I listened to the Aberdeen game on the radio, and I heard he was bringing on K-R, I thought that's great, with those two playing, and laying off each other in the penalty box, maybe the game could be turned around, but now i've read he pushed Griffith out wide. the man is an idiot.

7.) 06 Feb 2016 08:12:18
Barca Real and Bayern play 'one up top' in essence. Take your pick which of those will win the European Cup this season so I don't think it's outdated at all. It just hasn't had the desired effect. Square pegs in circle holes and players lacking qualities. I watched the game on the TV aindoh and it looked to me like 'two up top'

Superstar striker scores acrobatic overhead kick on debut. The future is bright after all!

If the players are fitter why did griffiths, who didn't get hooked, look like he would get done over 10 yards by John Hartson post cheeseburger. Mackay steven looked pooped and poop at the same time. there's plenty potential but Ronnie seems clueless how to unlock it.

1.) 27 Nov 2015 00:49:27
Been seeing this a lot - especially in Europe at the start of the second half the whole team tire and make even more mistakes and by 60/70 mins some of them need oxygen!
His methods and promises seem to be dubious to say the least.

Wonder if Wim Jansen is busy just now. Even at 68 i'd reckon he'd have better direction than our rudderless and seemingly captainless ship.

Is this a transfer or loan? While ability is clearly paramount I presume he has the correct attitude and application to meet RD expectations. I for one felt Scepo could have done a job, talent wise, but for other reasons won't make it.

Said it before jj2. Only in football, and seemingly Celtic in particulr, could you buy an inferior product at an inflated price or end up buying the wrong product entirely. To do it once is bad but Tonev to that list. We don't learn, we seemingly don't research and we'll do it all agIn.

Lad roberts maybe doesn't hit level 17 on the bleep test. Cole probably doesn't even beat the bleep.

There does appear to be a disconnect from what we, the fans, see and what the club management tell us we're meant to see. I see promises made with no product. I see endless wastage of fees and wages on players that all appear to have clear limitations before they even sign and then can't give away once the obvious apparent. Yet we are told we can't compete financially. the biggest for me is the football isn't even average to watch.

We don't do 'vary' 'different' or 'alternative'. what i'm told we do is high tempo, pressing, attractive football but we don't seem to that either.
