Good source that b Rodgers will be next manager personally I'd have Mon and henrik.

paddymaguire

1.) 07 May 2016 23:54:50
Henrik is an awful manager.

2.) 08 May 2016 00:07:51
Mon and henrik henrik as num 2.

3.) 08 May 2016 02:25:21
Why would Henrik take the number 2 job when he's a manager now and has already knocked the managers job back?

4.) 08 May 2016 15:18:11
Why? What has Larsson achieved at management level? Wait i know! He played for celtic. How about Regi Blinker with Bobby Petta as number 2? Both have done nothing at management but hey, played for celtic!

5.) 08 May 2016 15:54:19
Don't know how anyone can disagree he isn't terrible when his win rate is only about 35%

6.) 08 May 2016 17:13:24
DN30, hahahaha. I'll see your Regi Blinker/ Bobby Petta and raise you Anoni/ Donati.

7.) 08 May 2016 18:48:36
So larsson s presence under Mon wouldn't sell ph out? Then nothing will.

8.) 08 May 2016 19:59:36
Daviebhoy, I'll see your Anoni-Donati and raise you Anton Rogan and Rafael Scheidt! lol.

9.) 08 May 2016 20:49:20
Bestybhoy I raise you to a Stuart slater/ Andy Payton partnership 😃😃.

10.) 08 May 2016 22:54:41
I'll raise that with the double act of Oliver Tebily and Ulrik Laursen.

11.) 09 May 2016 04:56:35
It's got to be Carl Muggleton and Paul Byrne!

12.) 09 May 2016 08:02:30
I'll trump the lot Martin Hayes head coach with efe as player assistant.

23 Apr 2016 22:14:49
Celtic have denied reports suggesting guss hiddink s representatives have approached Celtic saying he's interested in the job.

paddymaguire

1.) 23 Apr 2016 23:58:23
If only they would go ahead and deny interest is some of the far worse managers we've been linked with!

2.) 24 Apr 2016 09:08:43
He is has said he's retiring at end of season

23 Apr 2016 19:24:50
Steve Clarke into 2nd favourite for the job.

paddymaguire

1.) 23 Apr 2016 20:46:40
Thats great mate but who the hell is 1st? lol.

2.) 23 Apr 2016 21:03:08
Moyes.

29 Dec 2015 13:55:09
So Celtic won't pay 4 million for finnbogason don't understand that one apparently we paid 5 for jozo.

paddymaguire

1.) 29 Dec 2015 14:31:23
Maybe we will or not but I would not just go on paper talk.

2.) 29 Dec 2015 17:40:50
maybe the 4 mill was their first response to an inquiry and we will offer 1 mill and so on would like us to get him and maybe the board are going to try and get him in to appease the whiner's in our support or could just be paper talk as tony2bhoy said.

3.) 29 Dec 2015 18:37:06
I think it was closer to £3 million! With Finnbogason - well he's not a project, not young enough, and more importantly we've actually heard of him! Lawwell is obsessed with getting a bargain, even although all his f4nny1ng about costs us more with transfer fees/ agents fees/ wages, that's why I think in another life he must of been one of these super agents! To me he's the jack of all trades but the master of none! If there was the choice between giving the fans a top player who we can really believe in/ depend upon or the very notion of getting someone young and potentially making money, well I think the man in the street knows the answer! And I think he'd happily have every player in the squad like that! At least our children's children's children's children have something to look forward to.

4.) 29 Dec 2015 20:19:22
Hopefully it's just paper talk does any1 actually know how much Jozo cost?

5.) 30 Dec 2015 09:17:40
I think Lawwell adds in the wages over the length of the contract when he's giving figures for fees. Boerighter was quoted at £3 million - Ajax said it was around £800k. Boyata was supposed to be £1.5 million, as far as I know that was his wages for the final year of his contract at City, and with him not asking to leave he was entitled to loyalty payments from them anyway! And now we have Simunovic who we heard was over £5 million straight after the transfer but is supposed to be around £3 million. Even the fees for Pukki, Balde etc were rather ambiguous! There's a fine line between good PR and treating us like prize fools! He'll be scheming away just now over his coffee and croissant! Ronny said yesterday that he's expecting us to spend around what we did last Jan, - that better be mind games because we need to spend more than that/ and or get a few good bosmans! I see Sunderland linked today with a Bosman from B Munich, he hasn't played for their first team, he's a giant centre half, anyway I don't know what salary he's on but we have to be prepared to pay around 3 players if necessary around the £30k mark, Brown isn't far away from that! We need quality, players who'll be first picks for every big game! I think it's time for Mulgrew, Commons, Izzy, Stokes to move on, and maybe McGregor, GMS, even Cifti going on loan. Watching that Leicester team last night, - they'd run over the top of us. If Malmo thought we faded in the second half/ weren't fit enough, God knows what Leicester would think and do! They also look much more athletic and powerful. Ronny has been here for well over a year now, I was expecting much more on that side of things! Unless Lawwell's not wanting the electricity getting used in the gym in the afternoons!

6.) 30 Dec 2015 11:11:50
I have to admit I'm slightly worried by the news breaking regarding we have at least matched the 2 million we spent last Christmas window. This is the window where we said we would need to get ready for the qualifiers ( assuming we end up as champions ) . Plus we have a short turnaround again as there is the euros the end of the season. If we only have 2 million I can't see us strengthening the several positions we need to improve on ( forward, centre back )

7.) 31 Dec 2015 17:18:49
Although Simunovic is settling in, he doesn't look like a £5m player or as skill full as VVD at half the price. He looks solid enough but if we spent that much on one player, we used to get much better quality to justify such a fee?
There have been too many duds and panic buys in the past 3-4 years and it is counter productive.

8.) 31 Dec 2015 21:32:23
Finnabogsson hasn't really set the heather alight and maybe we haven't missed a lot We spend a lot of our time idle speculating on how much we spent on various players in the past and that's all it will be because we are basically relying on the SMSM speculative figures .

9.) 01 Jan 2016 13:49:24
Would still take a punt on him at a snip not 4m though, Didn't they pay 4.5m for him? As you say Old Bhoy he's hardly set the heather alight so they're over valuating him a bit there.

10.) 01 Jan 2016 22:32:49
Transfer budget 2 million wtf is going on at ph.

11.) 02 Jan 2016 02:42:43
Why is rumour circulating about McGeady would he command a fee? Would be hugely disappointed to see that money wasted on him he's well past it and doesn't deserve to come back I'd much rather Maloney over him. So much for planning for Europe if the board think 2m will help us qualify they're seriously deluded.

12.) 02 Jan 2016 13:15:31
There's certainly no point getting him on loan - if the squad we have can't win at least the double we'd be as well all chucking it! We need players for Europe! McGeady is under contract for another couple of seasons so unless Everton released him, or a nominal fee then I wouldn't touch him. The Everton fans have been giving him dogs abuse since he walked in the door about his weight, fitness. Even Martin O'Neill said last month that in this day and age with the salaries etc that it's a disgrace if a player can't keep himself fit. We need 2 centre halfs - every top class club has at least 4. At present we've got Simunovic/ Boyata/ Ambrose and for me not 1 of them could be relied upon if we played in a European game tomorrow! We also need a midfielder who can sit and control a game/ actually pass the ball. And as we all know we need a centre forward. This has to be the worst defence and strike force with regards options in the last 15 years! Instead of improving we are going backwards! The window is already open and we have heard the usual nonsense already - we are looking for players in every part of the world, it takes time, it's a tough window. I'll tell you what's tough - watch that lot every week! Roughly £100 gets spent at every game with everything that goes with it - it's not just the season book we're paying for! That's why there's empty seats, - we can't give away tickets most weeks because people can't afford the travelling, food/ drinks and everything else. If the board gave us a little more respect and appreciated us a little more instead of the platitudes and patronising crap then you wouldn't mind so much! We need quality and entertainment and not a squad of 40 players who are all as average as each other! All this in the name of finding another rough diamond! No wonder I drink!

Well who's all up for a team of tierneys lads pure class were all dreaming of a team of tierneys a team of tierneys.

paddymaguire

27 Apr 2016 00:41:09
Stan petrov I'll believe in you 36 and just a second of your fitness test since you last played fair play mate hope you find somewhere your more than welcome to our squad.

paddymaguire

1.) 27 Apr 2016 16:47:55
No thanks for me . I hope he keeps healthy and wish him no harm . but he's just another long line of ex players who when gainfully employed elsewhere never bothered with us but now with no job their here all the time touting themselves.

2.) 27 Apr 2016 18:06:37
Wee bit harsh on Stan mate, he's never got a bad word to say about celtic. Anytime I've heard him he always talks us and villa up. The only reason he said he's giving villa first nod is because of the support they've shown him, u can hardly argue with that. Whether he could handle football at a high level only time will tell, but if he can get back to anywhere near the level he was when he left us then he'll be twice the player of any one of our midfielders.

3.) 27 Apr 2016 18:53:06
A wee bit harsh, he signed a new contract with us 6 moths or so before leaving resulting in us getting a good few millions for him.

4.) 27 Apr 2016 19:21:06
So give him a contract because he doesn't talk bad about us and he got us money because he wanted to leave us .

5.) 27 Apr 2016 19:50:34
Didn't say give him a contract did a? Think a said time will tell if he gets back to close to the level he was when he left he'd be twice the player any of our midfielders are. Time will tell if he makes it back, good luck to him and if he proves himself he might be back for a cameo, he's hardly going to play for long now, maybe 1 or 2 seasons at best n he's going to do pre season with villa so if he's good enough he'll sign for them.

6.) 27 Apr 2016 19:50:34

Never said you did . i mentioned contracts as op was welcoming him back to a place in our squad.

20 Apr 2016 11:57:48
Time to appoint a top manager with full control if we get 5 in arow we need to hit rangers hard there will never be a better chance for 10 get rid of Jc and jk too and the players who aren't enough we need to up our standards.

paddymaguire

15 Apr 2016 23:09:40
If these players played for sevco which 2 would you least like in there team on Sunday commons Forrest ckr or Johansson.

paddymaguire

1.) 15 Apr 2016 23:25:48
Crazy question they couldn't afford one never mind four!😀

2.) 16 Apr 2016 00:52:51
Question is a question if it's crazy that's ok an answer is ok too crazy or not so who's it to be?

3.) 16 Apr 2016 08:27:26
Commons.

4.) 16 Apr 2016 08:34:50
Johansen.

5.) 16 Apr 2016 10:47:56
I would say Commons and Johansson.
Commons is maybe not the player he was a couple of years ago but he's still liable to produce something in a match that could really hurt us, and Johansson on his day is a decent player.
Even though both of them haven't been on their best form this season, I would still rather have them in our team than theirs.

6.) 16 Apr 2016 22:13:30
Gerryc what evidence is there that Commons could do us harm . He has featured so little over the last 3/ 4 mths that we cannot judge whether he still has it or not .
I suspect R D that sees him daily no longer feels Commons has much to offer or he would b picking him.

7.) 16 Apr 2016 23:36:54
Agree old bhoy. That would be the reasonable explanation as to his prolonged absence.

05 Apr 2016 21:42:12
I'm behind celtic for the title but needing a goal and bring on Armstrong and Richards and leave your 2nd top scorer commons on the bench along with Forrest don't care about contracts I care about 3 points we need to win this title to make it 5 in a row then we won't have a better chance for 10 time to up our standards and spend some money in the summer and blow every1 out of the water this chance won't come again.

paddymaguire

1.) 05 Apr 2016 21:49:07
I agree mate, personally richards would never wear the hoops again he's totally pish no matter how you want to look at it he's just cronic .

2.) 05 Apr 2016 21:55:14
1 step forward and 2 back every time with this joke of a team and management team.

Sick to my stomach at how bad we are. Absolute shambles.

3.) 05 Apr 2016 22:05:15
Commons Forrest have won titles scored important goals in Europe have never let celtic down I don't understand Richards Armstrong gms how are they better even rogic wasn't in the team but c'mon guy Kris commons is Celtics best like it or not.

4.) 05 Apr 2016 22:14:53
That's why performances matter. Good performances deliver good results and good habits. We have been a shambles all season with no cohesiveness. Yeah we've won our fair share but the performances are so hit and miss there are no guarantees of success nowadays.

By hook or by crook we need to get the league wrapped up. Maximum points at Fir Park is a must.

5.) 06 Apr 2016 00:03:07
@paddy forrest? April fools was a few days ago.

6.) 06 Apr 2016 01:03:00
Dn30 gms Armstrong Richards dn30 0 0 c'mon lad Forrest provided our best moment of the season and commons finished it I'll let u guess selective memory me thinks.

7.) 06 Apr 2016 01:29:20
Also I think all will agree commons Forrest didn't take part brown couldn't cross his legs at rb wars that all about Richards my God Ronny wtc I bet commons and Forrest from the bench are saying how on earth or what on earth is he doing.

8.) 06 Apr 2016 23:39:17
Good God, there is always one or two
Commons may have been able to do a job a season or two ago but increasingly this season he has looked over fat, over age, too slow and too immobile apart from that and been too selfish he would do all right if u wanted to play that type of player.
