Just occurred to me that Dembele has another monkey off his back by scoring away from Parkhead.

You seen this bhoy yet? touch of the jinky about him.
Karamoko Dembele, Celtic Youth Player.

Boy looks decent, then again so did feruz fotheringham and Forrest to name a few at that age. Hopefully he develops into a good player and maintains a good attitude and not your typical underachieving Scot.

Far too early to judge I know but whoah, absolutely running rings round the Barcelona boys there.
3.) 06 Aug 2016 10:32:46
By the looks of that video Celtic done well however they finished 5th in a 6 team tournament beating west brom in the play off
He obviously made an impression to win player of the tournament
Just hope he makes better choices than those before him.

I attended at a function connected to the Gothia Youth world cup where Alan Shearer was a speaker. He spoke to coaches about when he appeared at the youth tournament he never got a game until the last ten minutes of the final game. What he was trying to get across was that at that age the stars of today are not necessarily the stars of tomorrow. I've always kept that in mind and don't normally big up youngsters however the young boy Dembele looks really exciting and hopefully he will be a star of a future Celtic team.

"Cynical fans, perhaps burnt by the Islam Feruz experience a few years ago, later suggested that the media will now try and 'sell' the youngster, but a source close to the club's Academy said that Dembele and his family are happy and settled in Glasgow. And are particularly pleased with the way he has been treated by the coaching staff within the Academy.
His coaches are keen to protect him and shield him from the hype but the St Kevin's show was not a one off. Celtic's Under-13s won the prestigious Bassevelde Cup in Belgium last month, beating Borussia Dortmund in the final and Dembele was again named player of the tournament. He plays regularly for the Under-14 and 15 sides.
It's very early days yet, but with Celtic handing a debut to 16-year-old Jack Aitchison last season - and the young forward promptly scoring - if Dembele stays on course, he might get a chance sooner, rather than later. "
Hopefully we can keep the young lad grounded and with recent academy projects making the step up Celtic will hopefully become a good place for all young players to get thier chance.

Superb video, like the fact on the actual web page that he threatened to stop playing football if they took him away from Celtic.

Not surprised Alan Shearer only got the last ten minutes of games when he was a youngster . His skill level at any time was minimal and his success came about by bullying and intimidation . Remember what he did to Lennon and his bullying of the EFA so that he would get away with it .

I'm guessing tomorrow night is a sell out, as Celtic TV have made the game available live to UK subscribers? Can't see them doing that unless it was a full house.

over 50k tickets sold for the Astana game.

Just watched the Toure press conference, I thought he came across really well. Very professional but also extremely likeable. He also seems to think that Sinclair will be coming to the club.
1.) 25 Jul 2016 20:27:09
Why did he say that?
2.) 25 Jul 2016 20:51:11
He was asked how he felt about maybe lining up with him again, they were together at Man City. Toure said he thinks Sinclair is going to be a really good player for the club. But perhaps he was being hypothetical.

Do you think with BR putting Armstrong in front of the Press at a difficult time might also mean he willing put his trust in him on the park and give him a key role?
1.) 16 Jul 2016 13:08:38
He has too IMO, by far one of our best in the CM role especially going forward.
It's who plays beside him that's the tough decision. I'd like to see Armstrong and SJ as they are both energetic and when confident play really well. Who sits back though and the 433 doesn't suit Rogic who I think can become a great player
God knows the best 11 we have and what formation suits us best, old fashion 442 maybe or 4312!
2.) 16 Jul 2016 13:33:06
We should be playing Ajer in DM, that's the position he has played and the position he was bought for.
Although until we buy another CB I would play him beside Erik as he looked good there in the pre season games that I watched.
3.) 16 Jul 2016 13:53:24
I think the second half of the imps game was crying out for a 4-4-2. I can understand your thinking with SJ and still remember his work rate in his best season was second to none in the team. I'm leaning towards MacG been given the chance, but I am also keen to see what Ajer could give to that CM role.
The few glimpses we have had of him suggests that he is very comfortable on the ball and unlike Bitton can put in a tackle. If he has a range of passes he may be a good shout, but then again Henderson can do that job and injects urgency in to the play. When Henderson plays that role he does tend to drift out of position at times and could leave us exposed. I don't envy the manager have to figure out who is the real deal and who flatters to deceive.

Would like to see Gamboa having a run at defenders more often. There was a few times today where he had space in front of him but opted to play the ball back or inside. (Maybe he's had it drummed in to him that keeping possession is his first priority. ) Apart from that I agree he had a good game and Boyata strolled through the game looking rather classy.

I think he was there to contain for the first hour. I suspect the game plan was to bring Forrest on for MacG and then Paddy on for Rogic. Sinclairs injury wrecked the game plan.
23 Nov 2016 22:21:30
I think the whole point with the antics of Barcelona tonight is that unlike the Nou Camp they knew they were in a game tonight. I see their behaviour as a back handed compliment.
23 Nov 2016 22:07:23
Have to disagree, JF I thought he done well in the second half. He may ultimately have a bad run at some point but so far this season he has played his part. We are lucky to have Izzy as a back up, name me a left back better than him that would come to the club and play second fiddle? Eric is still improving his game and Calum is a squad player not a regular pick.
13 Sep 2016 22:30:10
This game came too soon for Gamboa, he was out his depth and this was exposed, especially in the first half. Not convinced by Dorus. Didn't make himself big enough for a couple of the goals and slow to get down. Agree that Tierney had a decent game all things considered. Sinclair looked a threat when he managed to get a hold of the ball. Broony had some decent moments and Biton is a poor choice when you have to defend, he doesn't know how to. Toure didn't do much wrong from what I could see. In hindsight would have been happier if we had lost playing our own game, playing to our own strengths. I understand why BR felt the need to play 5 at the back but how can you play 5 and still allow the oppositions wide players to receive the ball unchallenged?
If Rogic was fit he should have featured even if it was just to bring our possession stats up.
