Put a question out there to more knowledgeable fans than me. Would billy bremner managed a game for the lisbon lions, Was a tim at heart.

mcgarvey67

1.) 05 Aug 2018 16:04:22
He would have played against some of the lions in the European cup semi final in 1970. I think his dad would not let him join us.

2.) 05 Aug 2018 17:14:28
Are you asking would Bremner have got a game for the Lisbon Lions?

If that is your question then you need to consider Bremner's position which was Right Half (right centre midfield) or Outside Right (right winger) .

Bobby Murdoch player Right Half and Jimmy Johnstone played Outside Right.

As I never saw any of these players play, then I don't see myself as being qualified to answer that. Perhaps someone who say the lions and Bremner play could.

If what ged says is true and he let his da stop him, then naw he wouldn't have cut it with us cos he would've crumbled under the pressure of playing against 12 men on a Saturday.

Very late in the day but wouldn't it be great if there was At tribute payed to wee alfie evans. Rest in peace alfie god bless,

Puts everything in perspective McGarvey67 I’m sure its not too late to arrange a minutes silence before game.

2.) 28 Apr 2018 16:05:16
My heart goes out to the mother and father of Alfie Evans, the families and friends to lose a wee innocent baby is so difficult and I hope the eventually get the strength to over come this aweful grief . I have an idea of how they are feeling as my wife and I lost two babies 10 years apart at almost their identical age 3 months old .
I don't want to spoil the grief I am sure we all share but I don't think it is right that we should be contemplating a minute's silence or a minute's applause for wee Alfie . We are a Scottish club with a very strong Irish link, in the course of a season we have many of our own and extended family to show our respects publicly . If we start holding minute's silence for every sad tragedy outside of our own we will have so many they will lose their importance and respect .
Those who want to show respect for Alfie and family should stop for a moment and say a private prayer . I am sure if the Good God hears you, that wee prayer could just lift the weight of grief just a little.

3.) 28 Apr 2018 18:09:41
Hail Hail Chris, God bless your loss too. Truly tragic, especially two, I too lost a wee baby Bhoy ten years now but prayers to you and your good strong family mo chara. May they Rest In Peace and give your family the great gift peace of mind.

4.) 28 Apr 2018 18:30:39
Agree with Chris on the silence's at football, football is for football, and i for one am not a fan of the silence no matter who has passed, I would for any ex players of the club though and i like the idea of a minutes applause, that way people cannot screw up the silence.
It's a very sad time for all concerned when there is a passing and there is place's for us to show our sympathies and respect's. Hail Hail, is it Sunday yet?

What has happened to compper. is he injured?

mcgarvey67

1.) 24 Apr 2018 09:28:01
Been wondering myself. Nothing much gets mentioned on him.

2.) 24 Apr 2018 09:56:43
I don't know if he has fitness issues or is struggling to fit it at Celtic, but I hope it's not another Gamboa scenario?

3.) 24 Apr 2018 10:55:13
What is gamboas issue? if papers were to be believed his wage is pretty decent compared to others.

4.) 24 Apr 2018 12:53:46
Gamboas issue is simple really, he’s not good enough for us! And with lustig being below the standards of previous seasons, it shows you how bad Gamboa is not to have played more game! The compper one for me is baffling to be honest! How many defenders is that now BR has brought in and how many of them have actually established themselves in the team! Just hope it changes in the summer and we finally bring in decent defenders!

Progres weren't intimidated because they didn't see the new slogans on the wall. Bold statement from a new club with little history what have they won? was it the harry ramsden fish supper on a friday night cup.
