Talk on twitter from a guy who's usually spot on that out transfer record will be broke this weekend, no got a clue about a name just seen the post but he's not the bullshittin type or a wouldn't have posted it but obviously take it with a pinch of salt.

GunnieBhoy

{Ed007's Note - So Frankie on Tw@tter with 13 followers is usually spot on and not the bull$hitting type? C'mon Gunnie!}

1.) 07 Jul 2017 05:41:18
Someone should tell Brendan this since he is manager. 😂 😂 😂.

2.) 07 Jul 2017 11:24:23
When did celtic ever sign anyone and twitter gets news before anyone absolute nonsense.

3.) 09 Jul 2017 20:27:51
Ed doesn't like twitter so it must be false even tho it's being talked about now that the Ntcham deal is worth 7m but aye it was lies eh.

{Ed007's Note - The guy had 13 followers and you said he's usually spot on lmfao Tell me one other thing he was spot on about and it's only some daft City fan's page that's saying the fee's £7 million so we'll see.....}

08 Aug 2016 19:02:18
Paddy McNair supposedly coming in, don't know if it's before the deadline or as a wildcard but heard it from a few folk now, imagine it would be a loan.

GunnieBhoy

1.) 08 Aug 2016 19:43:14
Heard same but permanent deal. Realistically he'll never play under Mourinho so he may as well leave full time.

2.) 08 Aug 2016 19:53:27
Strange move if its a loan. looking at the back 4 we have, Toure/ Sviatchenko/ Simunovic/ Lustig/ O'Connell, for 2 places. the only other thought is that BR does not like the looks of 1 or 2. However if its another class player then fine by me.

HH.

3.) 08 Aug 2016 20:12:27
cant see the reasoning behind it unless bhoyattas ta ta.

4.) 08 Aug 2016 20:27:23
He can play as a defensive midfielder. Maybe the rock we need in front of the back 4 for big domestic games/ europe.

5.) 08 Aug 2016 20:33:46
Can McNair not play that defensive midfield position to? Maybe that's where BR sees him!

6.) 08 Aug 2016 20:36:51
Definitely play holding role if he comes in.

7.) 08 Aug 2016 21:18:25
Do we really need this guy.
At centre half we have plenty of options
And if he is coming in on loan then why not just play Ajer.

8.) 08 Aug 2016 21:48:58
I think you are spot on Kev83. The team lacks creativity in the midfield given BR's reluctance to start the like of Rogic so that is a greater priority for mine and I don't see what McNair brings that we haven't already got within the squad. I'd be even more wary based on the loan experience of last season with another Man Utd starlet in Blackett.

9.) 08 Aug 2016 21:49:20
Agree kev, I would rather see a top class attacking midfielder come in! Get that and a new GK and I'll be happy.

10.) 08 Aug 2016 21:49:22
Apparently he is actually a defensive midfielder who can drop in at c/ back if needed, like he did at Man U last season.

11.) 08 Aug 2016 22:04:50
Think we will prodominately play a back 3 so may need the defenders incase of emergencys but if it's for a CM I don't know what we will get from him Iv not seen enough!

12.) 08 Aug 2016 22:33:21
Think it's a permanent transfer guys only got 1 year left on his Utd deal.

13.) 08 Aug 2016 23:06:17
Don't get the cry for a creative midfielder. Seems pretty clear to me that we won't be playing with a no. 10 this season. Griffiths dembele Sinclair Roberts will all be starters so to throw in a number 10 as well would be stupidly attacking. Brendan knows what he's doing.

14.) 08 Aug 2016 23:08:48
The northern Ireland assistant manager said his best role is as a box to box midfielder.

15.) 09 Aug 2016 10:30:56
Completely agree DG1888 realistically Armstrong, Rogic, McGregor, Johanson are all CAM not to mention, Ajer has played there, as well as the 2 young lads we have in development aswell. CM we have Brown, Biton and Ajer but apart from possibly the latter none are actually CDM! I think we need another baller in the middle a lot more than we need a CAM. And there's nothing to say we can't get a deep lying playmaker but needs a bit of steel, especially for Europe.

16.) 09 Aug 2016 12:55:35
DG we are not crying out for a number 10! We are looking for a CM that can bring the ball forward and control the tempo of the game! We have suiting CMs but maybe Rodgers can help bitton or Rogic improve to fit the role.

17.) 09 Aug 2016 16:23:34
A box to box midfielder is what we need, someone who can score a couple but also chip in with the defensive side of it.
Not a no 10.

18.) 09 Aug 2016 18:00:56
I agree but I've heard a lot of people say we need a number 10 which is the last thing we need along with any more centre backs. HH.

26 Jul 2016 00:38:41
Reports that big Erik is injured and didn't travel, anyone know if it's true? Not seen anything reported all day that he didn't travel, was only Ajer as far as i knew, leaves us in the sh1t if it's true.

GunnieBhoy

1.) 26 Jul 2016 01:16:20
Just read it there myself GunnieBhoy looks like Efe and Lustig at centre back, Johansen didn't travel either he must have picked up a knock against Leicester or he's getting sold to pay for Sinclair. The bad news is Bitton travelled lol.

2.) 26 Jul 2016 05:53:29
I hate to say it but that could be very bad for us, if ambrose has one of his bad games we could be out before the second leg . Makes it look much worse that we never got a centre back in before the weekend, we seem to have taken a big gamble regarding waiting and hoping our centre backs stay fit . Might have backfired.

3.) 26 Jul 2016 06:52:53
We can still sign and register a player today for the game tomorrow. So a new cb should be a priority.

4.) 26 Jul 2016 07:08:10
I'm sure eoghan o'connell is there? Played against Leicester. I'd give him a chance.

5.) 26 Jul 2016 08:22:00
Johannsons wife went into labour that's why he didn't travel, lustig and oconnel for me at CB.

6.) 26 Jul 2016 08:31:43
Janko Lustig O'Connell Tierney solid enough.

7.) 26 Jul 2016 09:44:50
We need to hope Efe has one of his good games, and he does have them in him, I'd play
Lustig
Efe. O'Connell
Janko Brown Bitton Armstrong Tierney.

8.) 26 Jul 2016 10:26:34
I can't see anyone being signed in time now due to it being a 6hr flight from the UK.

9.) 26 Jul 2016 13:40:46
Damn! If we had of known a wife in labour was enough to get a player out of a critical Champions League game Efe's wife would have been the most sought after woman in Glasgow 9 months ago!

10.) 26 Jul 2016 14:03:24
I've a funny feeling tomorrow will be his last involvement in a Celtic squad B. R. i think his tea's oot and he'll be off, in fact i don't see Rodgers risking playing him, it could be a Lustig and O'Connell centre back partnership against Astana.

11.) 26 Jul 2016 17:22:24
mally the taklly did you say johansens missus in labour?
dae ye think she votit oot?

16 Jul 2016 23:42:04
Doing the rounds on Twitter that we've bid 2.5m + Forrest for Shane Duffy.

GunnieBhoy

1.) 17 Jul 2016 11:17:58
Any thoughts on why we released 20 year old centre half Stuart Findlay after coming through system for 10 years when he's been snapped up by Newcastle Utd? Man Utd also looked at him. Didn't see either of them them sniffing around our Efe and surely could only have been an improvement and worth a shout. I also watched young Irish lad Fiacre Kelleher at centre half for U21s two weeks ago against Clyde. Only seen him once but the laddie looked not to terrible.

2.) 17 Jul 2016 15:29:41
Seen him in youth's and a few times with Killie didn't particularly stand out . also Newcastle aren't buying him for their first team but for the u21 squad.

15 Dec 2014 00:29:35
See a 3m fee has been agreed with man city for guidetti so now down 2 the board and guidetti. I really hope the board pull out all the stops get him permanent then we focus on sorting the defence asap

GunnieBhoy

1.) 15 Dec 2014 02:58:36
seen this 3m fee floating around aswel mate but for a player on a SEASON long loan and out of contract in the summer surely some of these reporters/pundits should do there calculations and realize we get him for compensation money

maybe i'm looking at this all wrong but it makes sense in my eyes but no newspaper or commentator has even mentioned the way I think. they all waffle on about this 3, 4 or even 5million fee

2.) Kieran_bhoy your right. It is a development fee club would be liable for. Newspapers talk $hit just to fill pages and sell papers. Why would club pay £3m for a player they have on loan untill end of season and an agreement Guidetti is at celtic untill end of season regardless who is interested. There's also the crucial point of Guidetti being a free agent in the summer and can be signed on a pre-contract in a couple of weeks. Does anyone honestly think he will care if "fee" has been agreed? Ball has always been in Guidetti court- not celtic, not man city

{Ed001's Note - but paying a fee would enable the club to complete a deal before anyone else could make him any kind of offer.}

3.) @ed001 surely with january fast approaching though it wouldn't matter as Guidetti could still sign pre-contract for which ever team he wanted?

{Ed001's Note - he could if you don't get a deal done now, yes. Otherwise he could take a permanent move to you immediately.}

4.) @ed001 board should of signed him months ago

5.) Guidetti has previously said that money isn't everything to him. But it isn't 'nothing' to him either.
I suspect he'll wait until January and see what the best deal he can get might be, whatever team that is.
He'll still want to go to a team where: (a) he will play regularly and,
(b) where he can realistically win trophies.
That may be Celtic but it could also be a handful of teams in other countries. He knows Real Madrid won't be coming for him but he'll still have certain expectations. We may get him and we may not. No-one can say for certain and whilst he may be enjoying his stint at Paradise he'll know that he could have just as good an experience elsewhere too. I suppose it's all about what clubs show an interest and perhaps one or two might be keeping quiet until January when they could get in quick and get him signed up and avoid all the speculation that usually comes with possible pre-contract signings.

6.) Chrisbhoy I think he will wait untill january aswell, it makes sense on his behalf or any other player.

If there is any truth in a £3m fee being agreed, then its bad business on celtics behalf when they can sign him on a pre contract in January for buttons and still have him at club untill then on loan.

Peter Lawwell grumbled over £500k in valuation over Finnbogasson, there is no way he would pay £3m at this point of time in guidetti contract.

7.) I suspect that's the case DN30.
Lawwell's not going to spend that money now when he can possibly get the lad for very little money and use the surplus to bolster his wages.
I'd like him to sign but we don't always get what we want, do we?
We need our defence sorted too. There is a collective bomb scare waiting to go off every time opposing teams have the ball. Look at St. Mirren, they had 2 chances early on when the ball came in from the left and our defenders were nowhere to be seen. And I mean nowhere. Virgil can shout and wave his arms as much as he likes but he's part of our defensive puzzle too. I think he might be doing a Sally McMoist in his head (losing interest) and looking for a January move himself.

8.) Hopefully he does sign. It will be a good bit of business.

Defence should be a priority in January

9.) Sorry if this has been covered but I'm still not grasping this?

If we have JG until May and he can be signed on a contract come janury. Why on earth would we spend cash getting him. Celtic are surely on the case with him everyday and he knows the script. Even if we where to agree a fee with him in jan, a club can still offer a pre contract for him to make a desision.

And if the 3m is a 'development fee', why is it we got Ledley and Matthews through the pre contract agreement without paying this?

10.) @91bhoy its newspapers talking $hit mate. Development fee would be less than £500k and a lot less than Ledley and Matthews as he has never played a first team game for Man City.

Even if this alleged £3m fee has been agreed, it's a pointless venture because guidetti has to agree and come january can negotiate with whichever club he wants and no club can stop him.

Graham having a medical at Blackburn, panic over.

GunnieBhoy

1.) 13 Jun 2016 13:11:35
Good. Hopefully Fletcher has one tomorrow at Villa then we can at least be surprised at the pap we sign.

2.) 13 Jun 2016 13:24:52
Where did u get that from I hope it's right.

3.) 13 Jun 2016 22:42:21
No matter how many players Brendan Rodgers brings in I am sure he will bring in some that most of us will think he is wrong .
Football is a game of opinions and I think that B Rodgers informed opinion is in a better position than the rest of us . Only B Rodgers' opinion will have to stand - up to hindsight as we will know after a year or two whether a particular buy, is very good, average, or poor . However you or I can shout from the roof -tops about such and such a player been God's Gift to Celtic, the fact is we will never know .

28 Feb 2015 17:33:29
Still think we are due to give a team a severe doing and I seriously hope it's the mora, aye they have done well but fed up hearing them being built as a serious title threat and can't wait to finally put an end to their shite HH

GunnieBhoy

1.) 28 Feb 2015 18:46:51
I'm actually enjoying their challenge as it adds a bit of excitement. Saying that I do hope we pump them tomorrow.

05 Jan 2015 22:49:49
After seein wee henderson the night I don't see why we need 2 shell out money for armstrong cause this lad will be better than him with a run of games, rather strengthen the defence, lb and striker 'IF' we do spend that is

GunnieBhoy

1.) Gunniebhoy, Henderson is a natural rightsided / c mid and imo broonys successor, while Armstrong is leftsided/c mid, why not have both and strengthen/ naturally balance the team, i'm not convinced with biton so have broony there and Armstrong and Henderson can play in same mid

2.) 06 Jan 2015 00:09:17
Know where you're coming from I just can't see him getting a game if armstrong comes in, plus we still have charlie 2 come back aswel who imo should never be near the midfield but for some reason deila and even strachan like him there, probably be better putting henderson out on loan so he gets games, even at hibs somewhere like that

3.) Iv been saying for months that I can't understand why Henderson doesn't start for us. Tonight just underlines it for me. I mean the boys only 18! Let him play, our midfield can't afford to have that quality sitting on the bench. Markie

4.) Markiebhoy, I would have thought Henderson should have been starting, but maybe Deila kept him with the development squad to work on a couple of things . Anyway I hope he gets regular play time from now on . I don't like loaning out youngsters as usually they don't come back any better.

5.) I just hope he doesn't over play him the same way he did with McGregor as Henderson will be a real player for us.
I liked Biton (instead of Mulgrew) but he lacks a bit of bite - no pun intended - and he doesn't utilise his height enough.

6.) 06 Jan 2015 03:32:11
I'm the same as you jim I prefer biton in there infront of charlie but if I had 2 choose i'd rather have the same midfield as tonight for the league but I wouldn't start commons against inter if he's still here by then

7.) If Commons is still here he should be brought on. Hasn't got the energy to start European games.

8.) Was having a conversation today with a friend and fellow celtic supporter and I have to say I really liked Briton in the team to begin with . But now I m not so sure, to me he's like Gary Mcallister ( whom I couldn't stand )good player but far far too relaxed everything seems to slow down with him, I for one would rather have kayal at least he zips about the place digs in tries to drive forward, how can we expect the team to play the fast free flowing football rd wants when we have players slowing the pace?

05 Jan 2015 19:02:44
Commons, Senderson, Big stefan up front all starting

GunnieBhoy

1.) If Commons has another stinker I hope those who have been crying out for him to play are man enough to admit it.

He needs to show up, Stefan up tops also needs to put in a performance with goals

2.) 05 Jan 2015 19:41:36
*henderson

3.) Henderson looks good, always in space.

only one team in this

4.) 10 minutes to go, overall delighted for the team. Commons doing what he does best thanks to excellent play by all around him, his downfall is not being as generous as others or playing the pass when others are in a better position.

If these players are fit come the weekend then no changes are a must.

5.) You must be gutted he got man of the match kev. What is peoples problem with Commons? There is no player in the team that can do what he can. He will consistently be our top man on shots and shots on target, I believe he had half of our shots tonight says it all really. And with packed defences he is the only player who can consistently hit the target outside the box.

6.) I think kevs problem is obvious, too greedy.

had a good game though, but should be scoring if he has half of our teams shots

7.) Eh aren't goalscorers meant to be greedy. You can't score 32 goals and not be greedy. I wish the rest were as greedy as him then we score more.

8.) That's it Edinbhoy, sometimes it's all about Kris Commons. He finally put in a performance this year. Am not gutted Rayman, read my post where I say team should not be changed.

Commons got his chances thanks to others but did not return the compliment once when he had the chance. He needs to realise it's a team game.

9.) Kev I really find your comments on 8 are utterly ridiculous mate. "He only got his chances because of others". Do you expect him to play on his own lol. Anyway most of his shots come from outside the box which he created himself. Also earlier you said "Commons doing what he does best thanks to excellent from others" He gets MOTM and you can't give him credit? That for me was the best individual performance of the season for us, nobody has shone out like that so far this season. He was our best player last season and he still is. Like any player he needs to be played consistently to hit form. We never signed a better player in the summer and I willing to bet we won't sign a better player this window. It would also help if the manager showed more confidence in him. And before you go on about fitness and pace, would this mean our manager wudnt play the likes of Hartson or a Le tissier.

10.) Must have watched different games cause our team movement and passing to Commons was quality. He wasn't my MOTM, I thought Izzy played well along with Henderson.

It's opinions Rayman you clearly think he is great, I simply think he is good for the SPL unfortunately this could be said for the majority of our squad.

11.) Personally I think its the end of the road for commons. Yes he was tremendous last season, but this season has struggled to command first team place and in my eyes does not merit any contract longer than1 year.

Instead of concentrating on winning starting game, he is busy complaining about length of contract to media saying he has rent to pay.

I can honestly see him away this window

12.) Kev of course he wasn't your man of the match lol. He was just about everybody elses I spoke to tho.He was at the heart of nearly every move. Had more shots than anyone and could a scored 3 with a bit of luck. This is the kind of quality needed to break defences down which is something we not been doing often enough.Your point about Europe is valid but the rest have been poor too, though he still scored the best goal in Europe for us this season.

03 Jan 2015 11:47:45
Loved the guy when he played here but chris sutton is starting 2 turn into a right knob these days, has a dig at celtic every opportunity he gets but never once heard him say a bad word about his mate last season when we were pumped out every cup except the league. Really starting 2 despise the guy now

GunnieBhoy

1.) Well said my man. Big Chris let's not forget has tried management and failed miserably, he has also been made bankrupt. I suggest he gets his own house in order before slagging the Glasgow Celtic. Hail Hail

Aye a would keep commons fresh for the last half hour cause if the game is tight and we are still in it I would rather have a fit ready commons on the bench than a tired 1 on the park to come off plus gms and armstrong can go the full 90 if needed I just really hope forrest doesn't start cause he was terrible again yesterday just runs like a headless chicken has no left foot, composure his decision making and final ball is abysmal

Think a may be the only 1 who wouldn't start commons lol we will need legs and pace on the attack and for me commons slows everything down and even though he does carry our best attacking threat his ball retention especially away in europe is pretty poor and could end up costing us, I would have the same midfield as last thursday but start guidetti ahead of griffiths cause even though grifffiths has done great I just think away in the san siro he can't do the 1 man upfront job but I think guidetti could
