So, what Celtic will turn up tonight? I would hope scratch that, i pray it is the one that plays at a high tempo. If we play Eddy as a line leader we will get sticky and messy, he always drifts left and blocks runners, Is Forrest guaranteed a start as he's been less than average for a few games?

So many questions and the seasons barely started.

Only a matter of time until Bitton appears again.

2.) 21 Sep 2018 10:40:19
Bitton. there's a forgotten man. What's the story with him? Injury?

03 Jul 2018 09:43:11
Harry Wilson? No idea who he is but a sevconian told me he is heading to Celtic? He seemingly got the news out of sevco? Go figure.

Was doing the rounds last night GJ was ment to have been Stevies first dream signing until he realised he had no money.

2.) 03 Jul 2018 11:29:59
A quality young player GJ. Was playing as a striker for Hull but used to be a winger. Where would he fit in? A front three perhaps?

So it looks like Armstrong is off to Southampton for 7m, pretty good business with a year left and January looming. Hope he does well as you could never fault his effort, but he ain't VVD or Victor.

A good steady player who will do well for the Saints.

Great piece of business by Lawell, what a job he’s done when it comes to getting money for players.

Hopefully we will see some incoming signings soon.

2.) 22 Jun 2018 21:01:05
Not sure if Dundee Utd get a cut? If so I heard it’s 20%.

3.) 22 Jun 2018 22:13:44
We seem to be Southampton's feeder club as that is the fourth player we have sold them in recent years.
Not complaining as we get decent cash and sell-on bonuses, but is it sheer coincidence that we supply them with so much talent?

4.) 22 Jun 2018 23:45:16
Even if Dundee have a wee cut we should have 5m+ to play with for defense.

5.) 22 Jun 2018 23:51:06
As far as I am aware he was not a Celtic fan if so I can't blame him for wanting to try something new good luck to him Good business from us also Even if some players see us as a stepping stone as long as we don't make a loss and he contributes to the team its a win win situation IMO.

6.) 23 Jun 2018 10:23:06
heard it was 4 mill with add ons.

7.) 23 Jun 2018 18:23:26
Maybe because they're not ignorant enough to ignore the Scottish game. A lot of English say anyone can look good in this league but there's been plenty that has came up here and found it hard but down well down south? And if you're going to raid any club up here then we are the one with all the talent.

13 May 2018 09:35:43
Caught a bit of gossip from Embra, McGinn to Celtic for 2.5m plus Allen and add ons. Hibs also want a loan deal on a younger player. Hibs fan so who knows.

1.) 13 May 2018 10:41:23
Kouassi, Miller or Henderson maybe?

2.) 13 May 2018 11:08:14
Kouassi!

3.) 13 May 2018 11:14:53
Oh and the Hibs boys fancy a 6-0 v sevco! What a laugh if they got three inside 60-70 minutes!

4.) 13 May 2018 17:49:34
Give them £2m, Allan and Hayes plus Christie on loan .

5.) 13 May 2018 19:51:57
i just spoke to John's girlfriends granddad there in the pub, there has been no offer off Celtic yet, but it would be more than welcomed.

6.) 16 May 2018 23:53:00
Would take £3m and Alan.

Do we need to talk? last night was poor, and as poor as we have been for a while, that was a new low. For me that was confirmed by completely dominating the second half with a man short. Being honest i expected a bit of a lag, there usually is after these international breaks, but i thought we would run it off after half an hour. I also expected us to score while we were bedding in, instead we were maybe a wee bit iffy at 0-0.

Ponderous and predictable. The very opposite of what we were in our last game. Eddy, James and to a lesser extent Rogic, not excusing him but at least he tried to open things up, were all poor. Oli? Just looked off it from the first short pass, also seemed to be having trouble keeping it in which is not like him. Ajer looks terrified, and with justification, playing right of a three, and really only Broony was on it.

Br needs to have a rethink here. This is a recurring problem for us, this lack of guile. Maybe the new system had a say in it, if it did we will need to be ready midweek, and when he tweaks it it will shape up. problem is we won't know till it does or does not!

Last word on dallas the younger, his dad must be so proud. This is not sour grapes but an observation. Oli got penalised for a clean tackle. he raised his hand in a aye right gesture and was booked. He then was sent off for a second bookable, looked harsh to me but he was stupid giving him the chance to act on it. Now. Has anybody else noticed the amount of times our defenders and midfield are penalised for their FIRST foul? Broony got booked because a guy missed the ball and ran into him!

This will become a problem as they mount up. Deliberate? Honestly i think so. We have seen what we are up against with the spineless SFA.

The warning signs were there at Gorgie Road when Lafferty and especially 'wee rat-boy' Naismith were allowed to assault our players all over the pitch virtually unpunished.
Collum in the Sevco game was another example, with two game changing decisions - ignoring a blatant penalty on Ajer and a retaliatory kick on the same player by McGregor.

Then last night we saw baby Dallas in full flow from start to finish honest mistakes, blind eyes and as you say a biased befitting his bigoted father.
There is no shadow of a doubt that the establishment are on full alert to disrupt, hamper and hinder the double treble winners in fear of yet another Celtic clean sweep and even more humiliation for their favourites and to date I think we have picked up 2 red and 17 yellow cards already and we are halfway through September.

Well that was all very disappointing.

Interesting post, and replies, to OMChris's defence of Lawwell. To be honest i am kinda in the middle on this.

On one hand you have the corporate Lawwell, what is not in question from a business stance is the guy is top notch. The Lawell who deals with UEFA and the strong financial position we operate from. That Lawell. The problem is the expectation of us.

We know he is a Celtic man, and by all accounts has always been vocal in this wherever he worked. So the talk of one of us is true. But he is one of us who is party to information that cannot be released into the public domain. That is a huge responsibility given the size and turnover we have. It may also be the reason why we seem to have had a poor window.

Not one of us was party to any information regarding transfers, either from the players side or the club involved. We do not know if someone moved the goalposts, and we have just seen an agent try just that, so why jump all over Lawwell?

Believe me i am not an apologist for Lawwell, i have often felt he IS a bit conservative cash wise, but not being privvy to the clubs plans that's an opinion based on guesswork. One more thing. Some fans have been critical of the new lights, which will be a tax right off so technically won't cost much, and even more so of the hotel proposal. This whole Celtic Village will stand us in good stead for years to come.

Trust me on this.
The state aid nutter and his like will be apoplectic in around two to three years with what's going on.

Since the sevco 'journey'ended, and they were 'back where they belong', we have administered some real beatings on them. If the truth be told at least two of those games could have ended in double figures. Some even admitted that, even the media had to concede the point, so why has this entitlement nonsense came back?

I have seen and heard some real fantasy stuff, gerrard claiming they were coming into it second half for instance, but to suggest that they made us 'look good' is lunacy. We looked good because we have players who are better and more tactically aware. We also have an experienced coach who can change our shape in minutes. that's why we looked better. but the insanity gets stronger.

Seemingly because it was only one nil, we have moved backwards while they have gained. Because we had the same team as the last humping, while they had a new one, and did not score five this was some kind of pointer for the game at ibrokes. All this on top of hitting wood four times, and them claiming mcgregor is the best keeper in the uk. So the difference to me is simple. Last time our shots went in, this time they did not. But they were passed to death and over ran. We once again controlled the whole match.

We have played 20 more games more than them last season and the season before. They go on about being tired after Thursdays game! It's going to be a laugh listening to paranoid Steve. Its now open season for teams to kick out at Celtic players. A governing body that's not fit for purpose.

After a month or so of being told we were in trouble, and the sevco were coming, it appears these reports were somewhat askew. Yesterday they chased shadows all over the pitch, it was a big a humping as any recent slaughter, and seemed to be unable to change the flow of the game. Youth team coaches sometimes struggle with this stuff.

But it's really about us. I use the collective for a reason, yesterday was the most electric and up for it we have been since the last dismantling of sevco, this was a real pulling together of the whole club. You could clearly see this result meant plenty, BR was beaming after it on the pitch, but it had nothing to do with our opponents. This was a GIRUY to various people and agencies, and a display that was coming.

Far to much going on to post about, but one thing is clear here. Despite what various pundits will say, and sevco players, we were miles away from them yesterday. They are drawing comfort from it was only one nil. Seriously. Almost as if the woodwork and mcgregor, what a piece of work he is, never happened.

We needed attitude and concentration. power and guile. These players gave us it all, and then some, in a difficult period for our club. After the battles they have won before they now deserve our respect and support for the way they went about their business.

Glasgow is still Green and White .

The signs were there last Thursday that our play was getting back to something like what we are capable of, but you are spot on GJ.
The Boss has not looked happy in himself these past few weeks and has had to keep a lot bottled up - although we knew he was disappointed in the Boards role during the window.
On top of that he had two unsettled players, a CL exit and the constant sniping and probing of the Hun-Press and even the pressure of disgruntled supporters with the way the club was being run.
Yesterday was not only a statement of intent for all to see, but confirmation that the harmony, confidence and hunger is back.

2.) 03 Sep 2018 20:02:29
Bang on fgj. The last month has been the worst display of anti Celtic propaganda I can ever remember. It wasn’t just in the MSM, social media was awash with it as well. It’s difficult to work out whether some of it was coming from sevconians in disguise or genuine Tim’s influenced by the sheer volume of pish already being peddled. How a 6 year old club with the best part of £20 million in shareholder loans, a legal process against them for non compliance with a takeover panel ruling, an investigation into falsehoods in an application for a UEFA licence and a rookie under 18s manager can go into a game with a club who have just completed back to back trebles and just broken their record for incoming and outgoing signings, as the club with the momentum is, and always will be, beyond me. But that would now appear to have been a load of pish.

If your info is genuine, first hand and accurate, I can see the sense in the post. On McGinn, did he not fancy the challenge of winning a place in the team as reported and gossiped? One fact we do know is we matched the offer, so he went to Villa for more money or a guaranteed start, hardly the action of a Celtic fan with a chance of wearing the shirt?

Schar i first heard of on here, never seen him linked officially but a good player with a solid WC behind him. Maybe he was approached but waited till after the WC for better options, and that's what he got.

Never heard of the other guy, so no comment.

What really needs to happen here is someone has to come clean. We have been sold on the idea we have a manager who can deliver what we want. Up until this transfer window he has done exactly that. If promises were made and renegade, tell us. If the reasoning is sound i would be sure we could accept it.

One more thing, to the people who still equate what we do with the team from Govan, stop it. What they spend who cares? The only way they affect us if the CB's they bought are decent, because if they are Congerton needs to answer some questions given we are looking for one. Y'know what he needs to answer some questions anyway.
