Scott Brown's appeal has failed. 3 games stand. Hopefully it is a lesson to him and to us.

1.) I am not surprised the appeal failed, if it had been a barcelona player or a real madrid player, Iam sure it would have been different, Scott Brown put in a silly challenge against one of the worst divers and cheats I have had the misfortune to watch, when scotland played brazil a few years ago, Neymar was over reacting to most of the challenges against him, he will continue to dive and cheat, because that is what he is.Glen 1967

2.) Didn't think it deserved a 3 match ban, however, Broony put himself in the daft situation with a mad moment of red mist. Didn't expect the UEFA Mafia to turn it over, I just hope this decision doesn't result in any stupid antics by our fans in Amsterdam next week!

3.) "stupid antics by our fans" what do you mean? what's it got to do with ajax? And do you realise we are celtic supporters and you sound a wee bit like a sevconian with that statement. {Ed007's Note - Does the 'F*CK UEFA' banner not ring any bells? No point in doing anything that will just see the club further punished.}

4.) Yeah HamiltonBhoy on point there. Stupid banners such as f**k uefa are needless nonsensical and immature. It is what it is. Broony should never have done it. Pure and simple.
ParadiseAndy

5.) Lets be honest about it did anyone really think an appeal was going to be successful. Like I posted couple of weeks uefa look after their own. Anything they can do help milan finish above Celtic they will, its all down to tv/money. At end of day if Brown had the discipline a CFC captain should have he wouldn't have gave them a decision to make, might even have got result in barca game. can't make it to game on wed. but know the faithfull will keep the good name of the hoops travelling fans up. Just ignore those Dam oranges

For once Ambrose kept us in the game particularly with defensive headers. Every cloud has a silver lining.

Simple! Do the maths. Compare return on investment between Celtic & Aberdeen. Cause Gross mis management. Simply lost the plot. Change now or dismal season awaits.

So much so for badge kissing misfiring Guidetti.

Kiss him goodbye and play Griffith/ Stokes etc; who want to play for the club. Try giving Scepovic some game time in the hope that he can achieve. If not, then keep scouting and developing our home grow talent.

cujimmy

1.) I think that Celtic are in a no win situation as regards Guidetti.
If he scores a lot of goals between now and the end of the season, he will be wanted by clubs in the EPL, and we wouldn't be able to match the wages that they could pay.
If he doesn't score goals and can't get in the team, why would we want to sign him anyway.
Players tend to move to the club which offers the highest wages, it is the only thing that motivates most players, that's why I don't take much notice of the badge kissing.

2.) He has gone off the boil but let's remember this was always going to happen given the length of lay off he had. I never really thought we could keep him, we just cannot compete with some of the deals he will be offered and we play in a poor league.

Lets just hope Ronny is managing him and he will return fresher and rested and champing at the bit.

3.) We don't know what the situation is with regards to the contract, I think he's is getting a lot of flak considering he's gone somthing like 5-6 games without scoring (when starting) and is still our to goalscorer. I agree we seem to be in a bit of a no win situation, but would still like to see him as part of the rotation and if he can pick up where he started would love to get him signed permanently

4.) I can't see any EPL teams wanting him, He was a flop at Stoke and has gone off the boil with us, SPL is frowned upon in England so 20 goals won't seem much of an achievement to EPL teams. Even teams like Leicester have Ulloa and Kramaric up front how are much better imo

Cut back on trophy cleaning costs . Save on stewarding for all home matches with reduced attendancies. Lower turnover and retain healthy balance sheet. What more could a season ticket holder wish for???

At least we are protecting our assets on the park by not playing Griffiths our recognised best striker.

Happy days.

Just heard on BBC that there is an appeal in against the Poles for illegally registering a player. If successful we will be awarded the tie. If so, we can look forward to another hammering.

cujimmy

1.) If there's a super league for brass necks then wed rightly deserve the trophy after that

2.) If we manage to get through by pure luck. wee need to buy two quality players at 4 mill each rather than 4 half million hopefuls.

3.) 07 Aug 2014 22:47:41
See where your comin from al bhoy but I honestly think our squad needs more than 2 quality players we need a big overhaul. Some people may disagree but players like stokes, mulgrew, kayal, griffiths, balde, derk, efe, pukki, izzy (defending wise) are not good enough for european football and most of them are 1st team starters

Lets concentrate on basics which could have been rectified today. Firstly, when are we going to learn how to benefit from throw ins and learn to defend theirs?? Same problem for over 40 years.
Secondly! Why were we not capable of choosing correct footwear. They had no problem with the surface. I remember Yogi Hughes scoring a hat trick on ice wearing gutties.

Elementary my dear Ronnie.

If this deal, as described, goes through then it's congratulations to Hibs for offloading their disruptive player for an equally good player plus £275k plus a loan of one of our best young prospects. At least Henderson might benefit, otherwise we seem hell bent on propping up Hibs in their quest to win their league. Maybe, at last we are repaying them for plundering them for over a century.

Just so happy that Guidetti hasn't signed. Must be the slowest player in the squad. If only he was half as good as he thinks he is. Prefer Stokes any day.

Dundee United have just stated that they have had no offers from Celtic or anybody else for Armstrong or any other of their players.

Might it not come down to the player to decide where he goes if the club get their asking price?
