I have been hearing this bhoy is gash. I know nothing about him so I can't say but not many YouTube highlights

2.) 31 Aug 2015 14:14:02
A lot better than what we have, European quality will serve us well in the EL

3.) 31 Aug 2015 16:18:46
My brother has lived in zagreb for the last 3 years and goes to a good few dinamo games. He says this boy is average at best has never stood out for him and doesn't believe for a second celtic are willing to splash 6 million on an unproven player.

Hooper rumour how true is it? I'm torn as to whether we need him back, we all want this top class striker to help in Europe, I still think the lad can produce in Europe if he was to come back.

brian1888

1.) 17 Aug 2015 11:34:06
Take him back in a heartbeat he is the missing piece of the jigsaw a lethal poacher who scores goals I know he left thinking the grass was greener but u have to say he was amazing for us!!!!!

2.) 17 Aug 2015 12:34:43
Celtic got the best of hooper and he made the wrong call moving to Norwich on a football level although financially he's better off. If we persist with one forward then hooper would be a useful as scepovic etc as his best days like all our forwards are better 2up top. Sadly I don't see us signing anyone better to play a lone striker so I expect a season of beating domestic teams narrowly due to players not being clinical often enough.

Hibs and celtic agree fee of 275k plus mcgeouch permanent plus Liam Henderson on loan, allan was in Lennoxtown this evening, thoughts?

brian1888

1.) 13 Aug 2015 23:24:44
Seems like our standards just keep dropping lower. Won't be long till we're signing players from Albion rovers.I hope this is a load of shite he'll add nothing to our team. All this will do is hinder our own prospects.

2.) 13 Aug 2015 23:46:53
Does it matter who we buy a player from . At least give the lad a couple of months to give him a chance to prove he was a worthwhile buy .

3.) 14 Aug 2015 00:02:46
He won't get a game in the next couple of months because he's no better than Henderson n he can't get a game.

4.) 14 Aug 2015 00:06:55
Said it a few times but I'll say it again! Our transfer business over the past few windows has been nothing short of embarssing! Brown biton gms Armstrong mulgrew Forrest commons Johannsen rogic mcgregor Henderson! That's 11 midfielders! And we're buying another! 1 left back ( who's been utter pish by the way) no cover brought in! 4 strikers,2 of whom have no future with us and 1 who's banned from playin for us! A striker of quality not brought in! Am I the only one who doesn't get this? Please tell me if I'm missing something here!!

5.) 14 Aug 2015 00:12:08
Well said old bhoy get behind all new players and we definitely need somebody who can spot a pass just as much as we need a striker to get on the end of them but must admit not to happy about Henderson going on loan if true would love to see this bhoy get some game time as I think he could turn out to be summit special

6.) 14 Aug 2015 05:51:47
We've all seen this lad play. He's a prospect, hence the fee. Give him a chance, he has a talent, maybe not like Paddy McCourt, but with a little more guile than is usual in our leagues. If he makes it, super. Henderson I thought we'd keep looking at, but its obvious he's not getting in Ronnie's team these days.

7.) 14 Aug 2015 09:11:36
A never said a wouldn't support him. Once he pulls on the hoops he's one of us, who he supported as a kid doesn't matter to me as long as he does his best. Ma only worry is that a don't think his best is good enough. Couldn't cut it at west brom, nuff said.

Live chat was immense ed, well played. We played well tonight, really impressed with Griffiths, shows how much we missed him when he was injured, hope we get good backup this window.

brian1888

{Ed007's Note - Thanks Brian )yes)

1.) 16 Jan 2016 00:37:11
Yeah great performance tonight thought there was some great performances tonight but for me Rogic was the stand out. If we can rue him up to a longer contract we will have done great business in the window never mind getting anyone in.

2.) 16 Jan 2016 00:43:20
Live chat v good as were Celtic tonight . Despite having no defensive minded players in midfield Celtic overcame that hurdle and entertained as well as scoring four goals .
I think Celtic will be showing this new appetite for the game in our less crowded schedule from now until the end of the season .

Young lad kemar roofe from Oxford United? Prolific goalscorer decent build, pace. Might not be too cheap but surely worth a couple million.

brian1888

{Ed007's Note - Guess who watched the Millwall v Oxford match tonight, Brian? That's called MOTD Fever :=o

1.) 14 Jan 2016 21:25:48
Haha, certainly not the first time iv watched him, definitely got potential. Ripped swansea a new one ( who wouldn't right now mind you) still one to watch and not long before he moves to prem if not championship club.

{Ed007's Note - Tonight's the first I've seen him and he had a good game.}

2.) 14 Jan 2016 23:50:38
He's been linked with a few epl teams so will be upwards of 10 million mate good player the type we should be looking at.

3.) 15 Jan 2016 00:36:50
To be fair to Brian1888, he has been doing well this year and when he is on his game he looks a handful. That said, I watched the Swansea game (where he played very well) and when the match finished, I thought there would be a few on here suggesting him. I like him but he's not (that) young and he ain't prolific, not by a long shot. He's got a good return this season (for a midfielder) but one summer and all that.

{Ed007's Note - It seems Newcastle have been tracking the lad but Oxford aren't keen to sell him.}

4.) 15 Jan 2016 00:51:04
Interesting Ed, I didn't know that. I'll be honest, whilst I like him - I'm not sure he's EPL material. He's scoring in a league that, if I'm not mistaken, a younger Callum McGregor ran riot in.

{Ed007's Note - You'll know how good he is better than me.}

RD making very valid point regarding "B" teams, I think this is where we are missing out in terms of bringing through very promising youth, thoughts?

brian1888

1.) 20 Nov 2015 22:13:06
Of course it is a good idea, but it doesn't suit the Govan mob so it won't happen .

2.) 21 Nov 2015 10:38:23
It's not something that hasn't been said before and it isn't the govan mob that don't want it, it's the east Stirling and Queen's Park etc.

3.) 21 Nov 2015 13:53:07
It has been raised before as it was an ideal way to keep together and develope young potential - and like the old reserve league it also gave fringe and unfit players the chance to get up to scratch.
Whatever reason it was scrapped, it has led to more players being loaned out and some never come back.

4.) 22 Nov 2015 14:38:01
What is good for the Govan mob is good for Scottish Football.
Jim1972., if you know of any initiative that didn't use that guide line, I would be delighted to know .
Too early for u too remember but the league had its number of top flight clubs reduced at the behest of the Govan mob and they would increase it soon, if they thought the mob could survive .

Abilty in abundance, but heartless.

1.) 05 Nov 2015 19:40:52
I said at the start of the EL we would finish bottom of our group. I asked the Ronnie supporters what they would say then. Only got one response saying that wouldn't happen and we would qualify. So here we go again. Before the game Ronnie is saying we know what we have to do. We will win? Talks a good game but can't deliver. Bottom of the group. Just unacceptable.

05 Nov 2015 14:19:02
Predictions for tonight lads? Going 3 1 celtic, boyata fgs.

brian1888

1.) 05 Nov 2015 15:38:35
Wish I was as confident as you, but nowadays in Europe I can never get my hopes up - no matter, who we play?
Not so long ago under MON and WGS and even NL, I fancied our chances at home to anyone, but we cannot seem to defend against any European opponent and make basic errors too often.
i know we have found some form domestically and only hope that this lifts the confidence and the Bhoys get their act together tonight as this could shape the whole season.

2.) 05 Nov 2015 16:13:18
I honestly feel with Scott Brown not playing to give away possession in the middle that we'll win this pretty comfortably.

3-1 Celtic Rogic hat trick.

3.) 05 Nov 2015 16:23:51
3-1 Celtic Commons FGS.

4.) 05 Nov 2015 16:38:04
3 0 Griffiths any time.

5.) 05 Nov 2015 16:41:21
2-1. Celtic, T. Cake a quick goal, a lot of pressure, they equalize, Rogic late goal. Easy.

6.) 05 Nov 2015 16:46:44
If they play as well as Saturday and same team should be an easy win. Nothing too predictable about them in Europe atm thou.

7.) 05 Nov 2015 17:00:26
Molde 3-2. Commons first scorer.

8.) 05 Nov 2015 17:04:47
Going for 3 nil tonite! No ambrose and izzy great news! And agree with Celticforever about brown! Play is far to slow and he loses possession far to much for me! Especially in Europe! Rogic and biton are the future for me! Good on the ball and the ball goes forward faster! Wee early goal from commons to set us on our way! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🍀🍀.

What we need is a striker, when stokes we don't have much backup, ciftci needs time, but I prefer him out left cutting in, so only leaves us with Griffiths and Cole.

Totally agree mate, I think stokes should come back in not done anything wrong for me and us better than half the midfield were playing right now RD seems to have a problem with him, attitude or not he plays commons so let's just play our best team from now on.
