What has happened with Denny Johnstone? I know he is out of contract but is he refusing to sign or do Celtic not want him?

1.) He played a friendly for Birmingham yesterday they are keen to sign him

Not sure how to feel if Lennon is appointed manager Al Shabab Al Arabi. In the job I would do, I would consider going out to work in the Middle East for the money they offer in my profession. Would I leave somewhere I love to do so. So, even in my job, it could be difficult to get a job back in Britain.

Even watching him on BBC Sport, I felt like it was seeing an ex-girlfriend too quickly after breaking up; but Neil, we can be friends. It hurts he went without really telling us why.

If you go to the Middle East, best of luck. Although, it can't be a step forward; can it?

1.) Maybe he was fed up with all the $hit that was getting thrown at him, decided enough was enough
Tambhoy

NL looks relieved , massive weight lifted

3.) He will have a fantastic lifestyle, if it is true, but is that what he left Celtic for? I would think not. I always thought he would struggle to find a club when he left, for me he might have to drop as low as the first division, and that's a BIG drop from CL football.

4.) Got a mate who lives n works out in Dubai, he said the standard of football over there is on par wi boy club stuff?!

5.) Maybe he wants to get in at grass roots and help establish both football and his reputation at a new level. In addition, he can set himself up financially to allow him then to have a go at the EPL or Championship etc. without having to worry if it does not work out for him. He put up with more than most Celtic managers ever had to contend with and did a fair job as well. When he took over we could not have been much worse (although big Tony was working on that part!). I wish him all the best in whatever, and whyever, he decides to do. I enjoyed his time at the club just as I did with Strachan.

6.) Despite what some likes to say, he certainly left Celtic in a far better state player wise and financial wise than he inherited . Deila is inheriting the makings of a good team and we should all benefit in the seasons to come .

Has anyone heard anything about the future of Griffiths? Celtic seem to be very quiet.

beebee

{Ed007's Note - Nothing can be done until after the SFA hearing on the 24th of this month. Remember he hasn't been found guilty of anything yet.}

1.) Celtic signed Derek Riordan in 2006 after he had been found guilty of singing the exact same song, whilst he was at Hibs, the previous year?
Is that right?

2.) Yes but the Scottish Football Association were not happy with Riordan getting off so they changed the rules . Rules are now more Hearts and The Rangers friendly .

Given the position of the United defence with Vidic going in the summer, Ferdinand not getting a look in under Moyes and Smalling (in my opinion) not being up to the job, it is believable that United would be interested.
As for City, I'd have thought that they would be on the look-out for a permanent partner for Kompany. Just not sure if they would want Virgil just yet. maybe another season.
