Can't see it! He's a right winger not a striker although he has scored a fair few goals.
{Ed007's Note - Me and Ed001 were talking about him this morning and he was telling me he's been playing as a striker and secondary striker for their reserves since last season.}

I'd like a better calibre of striker to come in especially if we end up short for the champs league. I think we should be looking at getting our next top striker in now because Dembele will be off next summer.

Feeling deflated, boy's v men, however I will always support my team, question, given the ins and outs how much have we actually spent to improve the team, and how much have the shareholders made from the club.

Obvious gulf in class, however we did start very poorly and had a nervousness and struggled in the system chosen. They seemed to snuff out any threat we did manage with ease and there were too many times our wingers were crowded out without support.
I had resigned myself to a 3-0, but thought we raised our game for a time in the second half but here we are again on night one of the CL with yet another unwanted record! (highest home defeat) - feeling deflated and disappointed but roll-on the next game and hurry back MD and DB.

Never turned up. Saw their class and retreated into their shell afraid to make s mistake and hesitant. Our passing was like sevco last year.
A bit better second half but still lacking.
Defence is a shambles and maybe now we might spend money on players.
I won't hold my breath though.

Qualification excellent, although with a few hiccups, before we spend more, when are boyata, szvechenko ( spelling ) dembele etc due back, before / after next cl game?, may be totally different team for next one.

We were missing our three best central defenders, and because Biton was exposed as not being able, or maybe not experienced enough playing that position, to cope with the Astana forwards in the second half, there is an outcry to buy an experienced centrehalf, so if we buy one and Boyata and Jozo are available, one of those three are going to be not playing, and Eric, if the rumours prove to be true is ofski, I don't know if it would be a better idea to give Ajer a lot of game time playing with Jozo, to give him more experience of playing that position, what I am trying to say is there really a need to buy a centre half?, when VVD was playing at centre back, we still got hammered in Europe, but then Ronnie was in charge, but now we have a proper manager in Brendan, tonight's game, because of the score Inthe first leg, tonight's game was a statistical blip, the whole mindset of the team would have been wrong because all the players knew they had a five goal cushion, it made them complacent, I know Brendan said he and the players were treating it like the first game had finished 0-0,but you can't unbreak an egg, the players heads knew it was 5-0,and that, I think accounted for the wee errors that crept in, anyway, I think it is a great achievement to qualify missing so many important players.

agreed, it is human nature to be a little complacent, given the commanding lead and the fact the hoops got the equaliser. might be a wee kick uop the backside that the team has to focus at all times, but not too bad given the usual centre halves were missing.

Astana had a go at us in second half as they had to do something. It was too little too late for them. We made it with loads to spare. Brendan changed it when he had to. Good skills from the hoops.

JB : Hi Mate, I was at Love St that day as well. The difference yesterday was that we played the ball all the way to CG and then started again. AT Love St we just passed our way up the park before slotting it away.
Great goal yesterday. easily Goal of the season unless the 6p man can conjure up some sort of magic. Na forget that lol
