I was reading something about the Australian national team saying rogic has been fit since 29th of December and now I'm seeing he's out for 2 months is there something going on behind the scenes do you know or is he just genuinely injured?

Stephen m

1.) 09 Feb 2017 15:49:06
ankle op out until april.

2.) 09 Feb 2017 22:46:10
its probably one of those elective situations, doesn't need op 100%, could play but would be carrying niggling injury - or get the op and then be back even better.

as league is won, prob best to get surgery now and be back for CL qualies.

3.) 10 Feb 2017 03:34:38
I wouldn't trust the ozzies on that. Might just be me. There have been times in the past where I've thought "wtf is he doing travelling and playing" and he has went played and it has left him worse off imo. I just get the feeling they would play him to get the game they needed and let him recover afterwards.

Ed heard today that we are in talks with stoch the Slovakian I think used to play with Chelsea's youth team and fernebache have you heard anything about this

Stephen m

{Ed007's Note - Miroslav Stoch - I know Feyenoord are interested in him but I don't know of any Celtic interest.}

1.) 06 Jun 2016 20:13:52
Is he any good?

2.) 06 Jun 2016 20:49:14
Thanks ed

{Ed007's Note - (yes)

3.) 07 Jun 2016 10:15:55
Could be something in this. Think he would have worked with Rodgers at Chelsea.

10 May 2016 07:33:15
Hi ed in regards to an earlier post about DD son coming in I heard about a month ago he was going to be installed in the board room no clue as to Wht position but the reason was so that the board couldn't hide things like resolution 12 and the state of the club from him again his son would be there to tell him the truth of what's going on as apparently the board have not been totally honest about things with him the main thing is about redaloution 12s impact on the club and he's not happy

Just read somewhere we have spoke to shay Logan's representatives please tell me it's a joke

Stephen m

1.) 23 Mar 2016 19:23:35
well he fits park and lawell's signing policy cheap and local

2.) 23 Mar 2016 20:50:37
Nothing would surprise me with the idiots we've got in charge of the club at the moment! Guys a mediocre player at best! And he's an utter Bawbag to top it all off!

3.) 23 Mar 2016 22:21:24
Can I just ask if the guy is a bawbag for reporting another player for a racist comment? Or is there another reason?

4.) 24 Mar 2016 08:25:52
I hope this isn't true. 1) because we have Janko and Fisher to back up Lustig already and 2) there are still idiots in our support who boo and heckle him for reporting a player who racially abused him.

5.) 24 Mar 2016 13:17:47
Sorry kev but that's just 1 mans word against another. Just because a football association think you said something and ban you doesn't make it so. Ps I'm not saying Logan is a liar but I'm also not saying tonev is a liar it's just no one has shown concrete evidence that he did racially abuse him.

{Ed007's Note - Nobody needs to show you or anyone else concrete evidence though and nobody knows what evidence was produced as the SFA are under no obligation to release the evidence to anyone. To suggest that there was no evidence is just silliness, why didn't the club or even the player himself take it to the CAS, if it was you wouldn't you take it as far as you could to prove your innocence? And why did the Club's lawyers advise against going to the CAS?}

6.) 24 Mar 2016 13:22:43
Pedro the guys a clown! And he's pish to top it off! And I still have major doubts that tonev said what he accused! Nobody heard but him and tonev denied it! Just wouldn't like to see him anywhere near the club!

7.) 24 Mar 2016 16:48:12
Your right ed nobody needs to show evidence to me or you but I don't like branding people racists without evidence unlike some people. Ps I don't know why they never went to cas do you?

{Ed007's Note - The Club's lawyers advised against it, the Club also fined Tonev.}

8.) 24 Mar 2016 17:58:56
It's like the Freemasons a big secret the football authorities know the club know the players know the lawyers know but still no one is allowed to say what they know. We've just to know he's a racist. got it now🤐.

{Ed007's Note - So back to the stock answer of the CFC pig ignorant brigade - if you're too stupid to understand something just blame it on the Masons.}

9.) 24 Mar 2016 20:34:07
How's it pig ignorant brigade when no one can tell you what evidence there is. And like I said earlier I'm not saying shay lied its just not clear evidence for me that he should be called a racist but it might be for you and the secret brigade.

{Ed007's Note - It's pig ignorant to suggest that there's any secrecy involved and that just because you don't understand something you're blaming the Masons. There's no secrets. the SFA followed their their procedures, do you think the Club would stand by and see one of it's players being found guilty of racism if there wasn't enough evidence? The Club's lawyers seen all the evidence and advised the Club and the player not to take it to the CAS, obviously the players' agent will have seen the evidence as well and didn't think it was worth taking to the CAS, Tonev was found guilty of racism, he lost his appeal, has accepted his ban and a fine from the Club and moved on, I'd advise you to do the same.
It's not the SFA you are blaming of any wrongdoing here, it's CFC, and that's as ludicrous.}

10.) 24 Mar 2016 21:11:28
If you read my post correctly I wasn't saying they were masons conspiring it was a sarcastic comment saying it was like the freemasons a secret society with info. Goodnight.

{Ed007's Note - Just because you don't know something doesn't make it a secret.}

11.) 25 Mar 2016 11:45:05
Seem like I might be firmly in the minority here but I've been really impressed by Shay Logan's ability. I know we have been stung by taking the lazy options in the past by looking at Scottish based players. but Logan's gritty defensive qualities, positional awareness, pace and use of the ball in position have excellent for 2 seasons now (not a one season wonder) . I really don't like him because he is not ours. and is very good. think he is better than lustig who looks passed his best and our back ups just aren't good enough in my opinion. would love to see him brought in.

12.) 26 Mar 2016 19:17:04
Howie--

I'm with you. I think he's a good player at this level, and he's performed streets ahead of Lustig for the last season and a half. I still have hopes for Janko but Fisher hasn't impressed at all and Lustig is clearly deteriorating -- granted in no small part to the physical aspect involved in that position and it not being his preference -- so Logan isn't as bad a shout as some will claim.

13.) 27 Mar 2016 19:44:13
I would rather see us go for Ziggy Gordon if we are looking to sign as other RB playing in Scotland.

Fisher has been playing really well over the last few months with St Johnstone so would expect him to come back.

14.) 30 Mar 2016 17:30:55
It's a wind -up by the SMSM, they had a poll among themselves as to how they could wind - up the Celtic fans the most . Almost everyone voted for Logan and of course some of our most gullible fell for it.

Ed is there any truth in the bojan rumour always liked him as a player

Stephen m

{Ed007's Note I just can't see us paying the money it would take to make it happen, the fee, signing fee and wages - and the source of the story is questionable at best.}

1.) 22 Jan 2017 23:56:01
Who was the source you heard it from ed, anyone we know?

{Ed007's Note - I can't tell you that unless you've got a Paypal account. :-D

2.) 23 Jan 2017 00:10:56
I don't Ed, ginger bottles do you?

{Ed007's Note - I'm diabetic!!! Och alright then, it was Phil Mac that brought it back up this weekend. You do know you need to go and give him money now I've told you that, don't you? ;-)

3.) 23 Jan 2017 11:40:52
Get your point Ed but in fairness to the Scottish/ Irish wordsmith, anyone who annoys Sevco as much as he does deserves a little bit of praise. He does have "rugger chap" to square up after all!

{Ed007's Note - He annoys a lot more than Sevco and their fans lol.}

4.) 23 Jan 2017 13:55:22
Agreed but he certainly gets their backs up, long may it continue I say. I also got told that there's plenty of money for Mr Rodgers to spend, over our transfer record amount, if the right player becomes available. Now is the time to strengthen our club, we have not done this before and the sons of mordor came back. We are in a position of strength, bury them pistol Pete, don't waste this opportunity

5.) 23 Jan 2017 18:28:58
John James seems to do a lot of rubbing them up the wrong way also. If his sources ( questionable) are true? Some of it makes interesting reading . Even if only to amuse lol

{Ed007's Note - Now that's what you call a full blown space cadet lol The Sunday Sport's more believable than him.}

6.) 23 Jan 2017 19:52:52
True Delbhoy, another man who rips into them big time. Not sure about his exclusives but they are worth it if only for the annoyance factor to followers of Greyskull. Keep it up I say

7.) 24 Jan 2017 17:07:55
That's a bit harsh ed. The Sunday sport has some great stories in it, there just not good at sport coverage, infact there's not a lot covered in that paper. Or am a getting mixed up wae the daily sport. Great read

{Ed007's Note - It was always lying about the tea-room at work and nobody knew where it came from lol, it just seemed to mysteriously appear every day because nobody would admit to buying it.
I'm old enough to remember the days when apprentices used to trade their dirty magazines and porn films on VHS lol.}

8.) 24 Jan 2017 18:06:31
It was always lying about the bogs in ma site, must've been short on bog roll eh? Haha

{Ed007's Note - W@nking at work is just sssooo wrong (rofl)

9.) 24 Jan 2017 19:56:16
Haha it wasn't me, promise. Av heard of a few brazen souls that would even boast about it. U get some real durty buggers on the sites.

{Ed007's Note - Hahaha I've met a few like that myself, clatty sods.}

03 Sep 2016 15:02:02
Never liked commons you can check back posts if you want he gave up Scotland because he wasn't getting a game don't be daft enough to think he done it for Celtic commons has no affinity with Celtic the only reason he is here is because we are the only team stupid enough to pay him and if you look back to when he was leaving Derby the only teams interested was us and them across the city and he only chose us because we gave him more money.

Stephen m

1.) 03 Sep 2016 17:06:52
Totally agree mate. Spot on.

2.) 03 Sep 2016 17:31:05
You could say that about all players going where the money is.

3.) 03 Sep 2016 17:48:07
commons is past it, a troublemaker of the sneaky kind, he won't move b4 his contracts up imo, he gave us some good memories, but also undermined previous manager at every effort, i will be glad when he's gone, be ready for his missus (the one with balls in the relationship) to do a bit of PR.

4.) 03 Sep 2016 19:38:19
Partick thistle wanted commons? Ha.

5.) 03 Sep 2016 23:36:09
He's been a fantastic buy for Celtic. Past it now but really great player for a few seasons.

6.) 04 Sep 2016 03:02:56
Blame the commons fans. They were plenty. He was given a new deal to distract from us not signing anyone. Kept a segment of the support happy. Bit of a shame in my eyes. He could of left earlier and be remembered in a better light.

7.) 04 Sep 2016 20:05:56
He was given a new contract because the woman he currently shares a bed with played and teased with supporters on buses and stands . Celtic tried to keep all happy, at least she stopped messing with the fans after the new contract was signed.

8.) 05 Sep 2016 09:04:24
I think it speaks volumes that 2 managers at CP didn't fancy him.

02 Sep 2016 20:52:08
No commons in champions league squad there will be a few fans not happy with that.

Stephen m

1.) 02 Sep 2016 21:18:25
Why? He's been past his best for18 months.

2.) 02 Sep 2016 21:31:17
Why he's not been playing so isn't fit would have been a waste picking him.

3.) 02 Sep 2016 21:45:34
Commons, Ajer, Ambrose left off CL list.

4.) 02 Sep 2016 21:48:35
Also missing Ajer, which I am quite surprised at because he has looked a good player when ever I have seen him.

5.) 02 Sep 2016 21:59:28
I'm happy with him not being in the squad never been a fan of his and never will.

6.) 02 Sep 2016 22:11:44
Good to see Commons not in Champions League group, disappointed that Ajer didn't make it . I hear we have a vacant position, if that is so maybe we can expect a free agent to sign.

01 Sep 2016 16:18:44
Zakaria labyad free agent 24 good footballer attacking mid could be a good punt.

Stephen m

30 Aug 2016 16:33:28
Ed the simunovic transfers a strange one did he want to leave and have you heard what the few involved is must say I'm disappointed in this transfer as I was looking forward to seeing Wht the big man could do this season.

Stephen m

{Ed007's Note - It's certainly a strange one buddy. A few people are saying today that he wasn't enjoying living in Scotland. If you're out for a long period during your first year at a club your head goes down, especially in a different country, look at Janko. He wanted out and RD told him to get himself fit and back training with the squad and playing before making any decision and he seems to have settled betters.

1.) 30 Aug 2016 17:30:21
ED007 and Stephen M, with a long term knee injury it may take him some time to completely recover, also we do not know what his mentality is like, maybe moving him on and getting our money back is best for all concerned.
I also think Rodgers has pencilled in Lustig for a CB berth so with Toure, Sviachenko, O'Connell, Lustig we are covered at the back now. Yes I know Efe and Boyata are still there but not counting them.

{Ed007's Note - I reckon in a year or so we'll look at Simunovic and regret letting him slip through our fingers - I hope Pedro has had the sense to to get a sell-on clause in the deal.}

2.) 30 Aug 2016 18:10:02
I agree with you ed if Torino are buying him to replace maksimovic he must have some real potential and I think we will regret selling.

3.) 30 Aug 2016 18:33:52
Agree guys a very strange one indeed and I'm a bit disappointed myself. I think Rodgers might be thinking (1) he's not my player (2) he's been injured and (3) moving him on will release the cash to buy my player.

4.) 30 Aug 2016 19:03:38
Ed07 I have no doubt been out injured in a strange Country before you even got to know your team mates would be very lonely and any relatively young player may want out . Have we lost a good un or is he " sick note" as some referred him to be . He was a surprised purchase and is now a surprised sale.

Didn't know that ed thanks for the info what's your take on Gerard I know you don't like him but would you have him at Celtic.

Stephen m

{Ed007's Note - Yes mate, if you buy a top from a high street shop the Club gets nothing extra, that retailer gets the profit Celtic would have got if you had bought it from the Club shop. New Balance would be the biggest earners out of us signing a 'box-office name', they've got a signed contract for £30 million for the next 5 years so if they needed to make an extra 100k strips Celtic wouldn't get a dime extra from NB.
I'd imagine a Club our size and ran the way it is has a clause in the contract that Celtic get a bonus if X amount of strips are sold over the normal projections, perhaps even a yearly review if something major happened.
As for Stevie G, even though I can't stand him from a footballing perspective I just don't see why we would need him, he is nowhere near the player he was and these deals rarely work out, remember Ian Wright, even RoyKeane, Gravesen etc. Off the field we don't need the circus he would bring with him at the Club. It's not for me mate.}
