Supposedly bringing in another LB? Seems quite pointless, especially when he's 30 and will cost a fee when we're already bring in Izzy, strange.

RogicEsque

1.) 09 Aug 2018 14:43:06
Where you hear that RE?

2.) 09 Aug 2018 15:21:52
We’ve signed another project, 18year old French Canadian from Auxerre. I don’t know about you lot, but I’m excited.

3.) 09 Aug 2018 15:36:19
Magic he goes into the development squad.
I will ask you what I asked mally.

Should we just stop bringing young players into our youth development just because we also need first players?

4.) 09 Aug 2018 15:56:29
Just Twitter rumours mate, underwhelming.

5.) 09 Aug 2018 17:29:03
Might be bringing him in to play left of the back 3 and have KT as LWB.

6.) 09 Aug 2018 17:36:12
Kev o have no problem bringing them in. It’s what happens to them after that. Can you name the last one who got more than ten minutes playing time? If they can’t cut it why bring in rubbishe? Are the scouts so poor that nobody the identify makes it? It’s like our Academy one great player every 20 years, one or two
good the rest utter pish and end up at the Dundee’s of this world. For example none of the current youngsters will make our team. The Scottish ones I mean. Heard the other young Ozzy is a player. Then again we hear they all are, the step up, look mediocre then vanish to Elgin, we should be more selective.

7.) 09 Aug 2018 17:58:44
Sorry Magic I was meaning the Anderlecht LB not the young guy.

8.) 09 Aug 2018 18:26:41
Is that not just another wicked rumour?

9.) 09 Aug 2018 19:02:34
As far as I know yeah.

10.) 09 Aug 2018 19:05:29
Is it Olivier Deschacht your all talking about cos he is 36.

11.) 09 Aug 2018 19:22:02
Ajer went down the same route magic and he's the 1st choice CB now.

12.) 09 Aug 2018 19:52:14
No Marco, Ivan Obradovic.

13.) 09 Aug 2018 21:17:25
Ok mate cheers.

14.) 09 Aug 2018 22:06:20
Ajer may be the first choice CB but don’t think that’s anything to be proud of. The guys positioning is poor, he can’t use his left foot and he takes too many risks.

Seems Mcginn will be announced as a Villa player in about 15 minutes.

RogicEsque

1.) 08 Aug 2018 19:22:52
McGinn signs for Villa. Well done Lawell, why don’t you go to Villa with him? I bet he goes for £20m within two years.

Scunnered. Feckin cheapskate.

2.) 08 Aug 2018 19:28:15
I hope Lawell gets pelters tonight. He deserves it.

3.) 08 Aug 2018 19:31:37
As much I think he wasn’t the player for us, if he wanted to play for Celtic then he would have said no

Clearly the move is money oriented and on that note all the best playing in the championship.

4.) 08 Aug 2018 19:38:33
The move was motivated by guaranteed playing time it seems. If we had done our job weeks ago it wouldn't have came to this. We are one injury/ suspension to Brown or Ntcham away from trouble. Eboue isn't going to cut it and the only other real option is for McGregor to drop back where he is less effective.

5.) 08 Aug 2018 19:40:32
He is an excellent player and he will move on for a fortune. Lawell has cost us a good player and millions. But look on the bright side Defabet deal. Every cloud.

6.) 08 Aug 2018 19:45:37
Lawell you person. What a huge mistake made. BR will rightly be mad and annoyed. All talk and no action. Disgrace.

7.) 08 Aug 2018 20:37:30
Hell mend us.

8.) 08 Aug 2018 20:46:52
PL has embarrassed our club with his pathetic efforts to sign a player BR was desperate to have. Regardless of Petries stance we could easily have got this done weeks ago by offering Allan as part of the deal. Pathetic!

9.) 08 Aug 2018 22:20:14
As long as they get that 2m spent somewhere its more needed I'll be happy.

10.) 08 Aug 2018 22:58:01
Where we ever aloud to speak to him? Looks like hibs were never going to play ball. Starting price £3m then move it to £4m to sell to a team in cash rich England for less than want our total deal was worth.

11.) 08 Aug 2018 23:03:13
Well so much for McGinn being a Celtic man. All about money. Nothing more!

12.) 08 Aug 2018 23:29:18
Listen to people trying to blame McGinn lol, what an absolute rid neck.

If the club wanted him so bad they would have bid properly for him.

They didn't and McGinn signs for the first club to show REAL interest in him.

Why should he suddenly change his mind for Celtic when they have a change of heart at the last minute?

We stalled and he had a decision to make, a club came in who probably offer better wages and are serious about their interest. Good luck to him.

13.) 09 Aug 2018 00:17:06
Well said Tesla. PL is to blame for this shambles no one else. Good luck to McGinn hope he is a huge success down there. Villa have got a fantastic player.

14.) 09 Aug 2018 00:37:25
Embarrassing that people are blaming McGinn and citing money as his motivation.

He clearly wanted 2 things - playing time, and a club to show that they actually wanted to sing him. We offerred neither.

15.) 09 Aug 2018 04:13:36
Once again I will say Mc is an ok player who wouldn't have improved the team as it is . Also it was Mc Ginn who signed for Villa, that's right the all singing all dancing Celtic fan who ultimately had the choice . PS no fan of Lawwell .

16.) 09 Aug 2018 09:34:07
Am a missing something here? Have we missed out on Ronaldo? Aye ok Rodgers said he liked him but he wouldn't get in the starting 11 week in week out, a bit part player with potential, nothing more.

17.) 09 Aug 2018 09:37:47
Its go nothing to do with the PL or Celtic not stumping up the cash for McGinn. We met Petrie's valuation 3 times and every time that Sevco sympathiser changed the goal post of McGinn's valuation. We tabled a take it or leave it offer to force Petrie's hand and it failed as Villa came in for him. Over a 2/ 3 weeks period Celtic had no chance to speak to the player, Villa table 1 bid and McGinn is in Birmingham within 24 hours to speak to the Villa board and complete a signing. Petrie ruined this move for us no one else, he is a person in hibs clothing and has an absolute hatred of Celtic.

18.) 09 Aug 2018 11:08:13
Any suggestions that McGinn only cares about money are pathetic. Villa showed him they actually wanted him and didn't mess him about the way we did. I'm good friends with a family member of his and he's told me a couple of things that make us seem very arrogant and amateurish. Some of you might not believe me but any regulars on here know I'm not one who ever falsely claims to be "in the know" on things.

19.) 09 Aug 2018 13:09:13
Ed what's your feelings on this? I honestly thought Mcginn would be been a great signing and am a little gutted that we didn't push it through.

{Ed007's Note - It's a major cock-up on Lawwell's part.}

20.) 09 Aug 2018 15:08:42
Ed you think Lawell will be held to account from Desmond as Mcginn would've fitted in great with the policy that we are aiming for.

{Ed007's Note - No.}

Roberts to Leicester for 10 mil, absolute steal.

Supposedly Wilson a loan target. Not getting linked with the most exciting names.

RogicEsque

1.) 04 Jul 2018 10:04:39
Good young prospect, gives us more depth to team if he joins, would like to see option to buy in contract if he joins, but think Liverpool see him as future first team player so doubt it.

2.) 04 Jul 2018 10:12:24
We weren't all dancing in the street when Paddy was first mentioned.

3.) 04 Jul 2018 10:13:10
None actually. Not fecking one.

Am I surprised? Not at all.

4.) 04 Jul 2018 11:17:17
I'd ve really happy with this IF there was an option to buy. Like Kev says, look at Paddy. I'm 100% sure Wilson has a good future ahead of him.

5.) 04 Jul 2018 16:49:46
I'm not saying he won't be a good player but is he any better at this moment than what we currently have?

Going by Rodgers' comments, do you think Tierney will miss Saturday Ed?

RogicEsque

{Ed007's Note - After Rodgers saying only the other day that he expected both Tierney and Edouard to make the Aberdeen match I was hoping not playing KT yesterday was only a precaution so for me what he said yesterday is either mind games or KT has broken down again. Fingers crossed it's the first one.}

1.) 27 Dec 2018 13:45:06
I'm hoping it's the first one but when I think about it I can't really remember Rodgers playing mind games when it comes to the fitness of his players which is worrying.

22 Dec 2018 18:36:41
Ed,

Just seen Rodgers' comments about Australia calling Rogic up is not only unfortunate for us but also Rogic, do you think there's any chance Australia will back down or do you think that's the end of it?

RogicEsque

{Ed007's Note - I don't think the Australian FA will budge.}

1.) 23 Dec 2018 05:13:54
Going by what McDonald said, this seems unlike them. You see any reason for them doing this? It's not as if he's missing our fixture for one of theirs, he'll be training instead.

2.) 23 Dec 2018 10:15:32
He is an important part of their team and they will want to work on tactics. I don't know why everyone is up in arms here, we know this could happen when we sign players from that region. The same goes for the African players or players from the Americas.

3.) 23 Dec 2018 12:06:25
I've seen some fans demanding that he rejects the Aussie FA and makes a stand etc. but I think that's an unfair position to put him in. BR's comments over the past couple of days have been quite protective of Tam and making the point that the decision will be out of his hands.

4.) 23 Dec 2018 12:52:17
If he doesn't turn up they can ban him from playing games for us.

5.) 23 Dec 2018 14:50:00
If countries have that much power over players they should then contribute to their wages . the club should always come first then release the player if needed.

6.) 23 Dec 2018 19:08:43
He's under contract at Celtic so I personally think we should have some sort of say whether he goes or not, especially when it comes down to missing fixtures simply to train a few extra days.

30 Aug 2018 18:34:20
Ed, what's your thoughts on Mulumbu? Good player for me but doesn't seem like a replacement for Armstrong, more like cover for Brown and if so, what does that mean for Kouassi and why haven't we replaced Armstrong properly.

RogicEsque

{Ed007's Note - It's not the most inspiring signing but he's a solid enough player and if there had been a few more signings before him people would have accepted it better.}

1.) 30 Aug 2018 23:10:41
Just seen the manager say just the 2 in, hopefully keep aboks of our best but disappointed no RB or like for like Armstrong replacement will be coming in.

29 Aug 2018 22:12:15
Ed, we need like 4/ 5 signings if Dembele goes, you reckon we'll even get close to that?

RogicEsque

1.) 29 Aug 2018 22:25:13
You can see its just disjointed panicking by the fans Ed. can't really blame them tbh can you. It's looking grim.

{Ed007's Note - I understand the fans frustration and feel the same way if I'm honest but I can't keep answering the same questions over and over again about what I think, it doesn't change much and especially in the space of a couple of hours.
How many times have I said that I expect some players to leave and that I expect 3 or 4 new signings - loans or permanent - because that's what the manager has said we are trying to do?
Why's it looking grim, are Lyon fans saying it's looking grim leaving it this late to sign Dembele? It wasn't too long ago that there were a lot of people on here arguing with me that we didn't need 3 first team strikers on the books so it looks like they've got their wish and we've banked £20 odd million, why's there no celebrations from them?}

2.) 29 Aug 2018 22:30:09
From what I can see, Ed007 is like the rest of us. Fingers crossed, wait and see.

{Ed007's Note - I'm a bit tired and that might have been a bit bitchy, sorry lads, it's been a long week for me with one thing and another.}

3.) 29 Aug 2018 22:54:57
Bitchy? I don't know how you don't **** the laptop out the window every transfer window bud.

{Ed007's Note - Oooffft I'd need to start a go fund me page to replace it lol

4.) 29 Aug 2018 22:59:44
If Griff is leading the line on Sunday we have a problem.

5.) 29 Aug 2018 23:03:25
I think 20 million plus is a great deal for Dembele. 50 goals in 2 seasons will be hard to replace but I can’t really remember him getting a proper run of games without an injury striking him. He leaves with my best wishes and some great Hunskelping memories.

I would love to see us go for someone completely different to what we already have up top. A target man or the likes where we can play a bit differently if needed. The 3 we have all very similar and as we are struggling to break a lot of teams down so something different might be the answer.

6.) 29 Aug 2018 22:51:39
No need to apologise, we know your busy and also have a lot going on at home to deal with. You should take it all as a compliment though mate, guys on here value your opinion and knowledge on all things Celtic. However, i can see why its frustrating out of you. We are all kids and your the school teacher.

{Ed007's Note - Thanks, Shug but fair's fair and I'll apologise if I need to to. On top of everything else Yoda's had more $hit running out him the past 24 hours than a Rangers EBT recipient so I didn't get much sleep last night.}

7.) 29 Aug 2018 23:20:47
I don't know when I started noticing the 'what do you think, Ed' posts, but they seem to me relatively recent? The bewildered herd--I include my bewildered self--want news from delphos. But the fact is ed007 is often oracular.

We used to put the lack of rumours down to the board conducting business professionally in private. Now?

{Ed007's Note - I am feckin not oracular I'll have you know!! I try and follow a healthy diet and I'm regular as clockwork so there's nothing oracular about my bowels. Hhhmmpphhh talk about a cheap dig!!!}

8.) 29 Aug 2018 23:58:09
At the moment we haven’t lost one regular starter from a team who have won back to back trebles. We’ve got teams from all over Europe allegedly poised to offer sums of between £10m to £20m for four of our players and I fully expect to sell no more than two and if we do, we’ll get top dollar for them. We might bring in a couple but to be honest, I wouldn’t be too bothered if we don’t. By Monday we’ll be in the group stages of the EL and we’ll be 4 points clear of Sevco and on our way to another league title, possibly even a third treble. I do wish people would stop posting doom and gloom stories because they have as much foundation as the pish being written in the Scottish press. We’re in a better place than we’ve been in a long time.

9.) 30 Aug 2018 00:09:05
The way I see it players in demand like Christie and Hayes (Aberdeen) Allan (Hibs) Compper (Pay off) Boyata (Turkey) Dembele (France) will free up the chance for us to get players in. We have got an over inflated squad. So movement out needs doing first before we decide our Euro fat, especially after the failure of qualifying for the CL. The books need balanced. And I'm sure BR has said who he can do without and who he needs in as a replacement which up until now he has been clear is a PR and SA replacement first off. If Boyata leaves a replacement and if Dembele leaves a replacement for him too. But we can't afford to ship out before we get in either as we could end up really short of cover so it's finding a replacement first. Something will be sorted and as ED has said some will praise the signings and others will criticize the signings, but we will get people in. To be fair if the likes of Terry, Solanke, Chirivella and Benkovic come in we can't say they aren't of quality. we would've done well to get that kind of quality through the door which I still think is a big task considering the situation we are in.

10.) 30 Aug 2018 00:25:36
Have faith in Griff Jonnymac. The little fella produces on the big stage. Don’t think their two centre halves will fancy running around after him with his movement. Once Griff has bagged a couple we’ll bring on French Eddy to dust them off 👍🏻.

11.) 30 Aug 2018 04:05:48
Got to have money on wee Griff getting his 100th Celtic goal against the new club.

12.) 30 Aug 2018 10:21:50
Bhoys hope you are right. Been waiting for him to come good and the chances he has against AEK and the EL game last week tells me he is not the player he was a couple of seasons ago.

14 Aug 2018 15:24:16
Roberts going to a team who'll be more defensive than offensive👀.

1.) 14 Aug 2018 15:35:17
Doesn't seem to have done Liam Henderson any harm going to Italy. Hope he does well glad I don't need to read about him coming back know.

2.) 14 Aug 2018 16:28:52
Hope he does well but read they play a 5-3-2 so sounds a bit odd.

3.) 14 Aug 2018 18:04:37
You'll probably find that the reason he's gone there will be both clubs are owned by the same group. It will be for a shuffling of finances probs to satisfy financial fair play in Man City's respect. Nothing to do with player development.
