My team for the Stranraer match today would be;
Griffiths - Nesbitt
Mackay Steven - Rogic - McGregor
Johansen
Tierney - Juzo - Lustig - Wardrop
Fasan
I would have had Armstrong instead of Rogic but i notice he's injured. I think this team has a good blend to it.

We have to start the game with Carlton Cole! We can't play Griffiths every game. He is just back from injury. On a pitch like Stranrars we don't want to play Griffiths unless we need to. Also if we are not going to play Cole in a match like this against lower division opposition, why did we sign him, which by the way is a waste of time as he is never going to get back to match fitness because he can't get game time. So today he needs to start.

I have been reading all the points of view with intrest over the last couple of weeks and after reading it all, I must confess, I still think Ronnie will turn this round. One thing that i do find alarming though, is the amount of young players we are being quoted as having an interest in. Now before anyone jumps in, I am aware that this is the Celtic strategy, to produce good players from an early stage, but, as Ronnie pointed out during the summer window, Celtic are in need of some older seasoned pros to help with the younger players development. I don't think we have been quoted with any yet.
Saying that, I look forward to Ibrahimovic signing his pre-contract during this window ; )
On another note, does anyone know when the construction work starts for the new ticket office and museum? It all seems to have gone a bit quite on the Celtic Park Triangle Redevelopment.

Looked at a bit of the Manchester United match today and I can understand why LVG would want Blackett back .
Blackett struggled in the Celtic defence but the Utd defence maybe even weaker .

I know a lot of people were looking for a big scoreline tonight but from what I read on the match report, it seems we played pretty well, sounds like their keeper had a fantastic game. Who were the standout performers tonight?
On another subject, does anyone know when the new ticket office / museum construction starts?

We pretty much had possession for the entire game just didn't put our chances away, Ciftci & Johansen should both have scored in the first half. They were no threat and it's another welcome 90 mins under our belt. Think GMS would have run riot tonight so disappointed he wasn't involved.

I was disappointed to read that Lennon is looking at bringing in 5 players during the summer. I just wish that he had the cahonas to blood about 4 or 5 of the young ones into the team. There are some great looking youth players that should be given a chance. I remember when Fergie did it at Man Utd with Butt, Beckham, Nevilles etc. Maybe this is our time.
1.) Red Devil, The development of our youth players is an area of concern. I can see why they don't get played - they aren't good enough and have not developed much in the past few seasons.
Maybe not a fair comparison but you look at Raheem Stirling under Brendan Rodgers, he's 19, a winger but Rodgers wasn't afraid to play him in the middle (the point of a diamond shape in midfield - I'm not good with modern football shapes lol) with his pace and no fear attitude, your defenders were being pulled away from Sturridge and Suarez. Our Manager would never do this and we can afford to try it more than Liverpool can against Man Utd.
Lennon has played Forrest (who could be described as a creative player and has pace) in some games this season in the middle but he's 22 now and it's too little too late and it's not done right. Some Liverpool fans hadn't been happy with Stirling but Rodgers had clear plans for him and you could see them. Forrest has been injured but there's been no definite plan or development for him under Lennon. He's an example of a youth player you could have experimented more with but now he's on the receiving end of get him tae.
Regardless of the talent, as you say, with Alex Ferguson you knew the plan and you can see what Brendan Rodgers is trying to do at Liverpool. I don't see that at Celtic with our youth.
Not saying I'm a fan of players being played out of position but these Managers have a knack of making it work and part of player development.

It's called having a tactically aware manager Mrs E, a manager that can watch half an hour of a game and say this is not working and change things. This is a thing Celtic don't have, Lennons tactics consist of if it's not working after 70 mins throw the Greek Tragedy on and hope for the best
3.) Maybe Stevie, remember the last Old Firm game and Lennon went with a kinda 3-5-2, it was full on attack and lovely to watch and we all thought - aye, this is good!
It seems to have gone back the way and the complacency is unforgivable.

I think if we can get Dembele and the imminent announcement of Ibrahimovic coming to the hoops, we have the makings of a pretty strong forward line.

Murat Yakin is the name that sticks out for me just now. I would also like to see Jim Duffy brought in as the number two, it was mentioned on here a couple off days ago and i think its a good shout. Saying that, as long as its a manager who receives 100% authority on signings, i will be happy.
