Heard from a friend that's over in Derry that met Shane Duffy in a pub that he is 100% coming to Celtic, all paperwork signed justs needs to be revealed.

Bit underwhelming to be honest! I know he was forests player of the year last year but honestly thought we'd do better than this! At 35 years of age how is this guy going to be an improvement on Gordon. Would rather Fasan was given a chance.
Very impressed with the signings so far but not with this one.

Seems a strange one indeed. He's 35 and even though keepers can play a bit longer than others you have to ask how long he is going to go on for. I'd have thought BR would have went for a keeper with youth on his side as well as a bit of quality. Bailly should be given a chance first, not a bad keeper and needs a run of games.

The age isn't the issue - how old is Kolo? The issue is that it's a bit of an underwhelming signing because we were hoping for better. Got to give BR the chance with this one though, he obviously feels he coyld be better than Gordon.

Its DeVries skill with the ball at his feet that Rodgers wants, he had him at Swansea and wants to build from the back. Regardless of what you thing of Gordon, his use of the ball at his feet is murder!

We should get a look at him against Inter. Wonder if BR will start him against hapoel beer sheva 2nd leg? I doubt BR has brought him in to make up the numbers.

The age is an issue because we will have 3 goalkeepers in their mid 30s. Kolo is different because the 4 other centre halves around him are all 25 and under and can learn from him.

Obviously this keeper isn't even a comparision to Buffon but same scenario.

There are plenty of top keepers that sort of age Niall, even if it's only until next summer when there's more funds available. Don't get me wrong, I would prefer somebody younger ideally, but if he's better than Gordon, it's a step in the right direction.

I did say De Vries is not a comparison on Buffon, but when people are saying age is the issue, its clearly not when he has been a top goalkeeper for 15-20 years.

Michael, there is no chance whatsoever of Celtic getting Sturridge, Liverpool will want 20m+ for him easy and the boy thinks he's a superstar so I doubt he will come if it was up to him and as everyone knows he's the most injury prone player in the premier league
