Although it was difficult to watch at times, I think we showed we can win games when not on top form, and against stuffy defensive opposition without ever having to push out of second gear. Kilmarnock played well and fair play to them, they managed to pressure is into a couple of good opportunities that unfortunately for them they didn't make more of, however I firmly believe if they had scored we had more than enough to produce a reply.

I thought mcgregor had a good game at left back and it's nice to see the likes of him and Armstrong show there flexibility within the squad. Felt Roberts looked stifled in the centre and looks much more effective on the wing. Anyway HH to another win, let's make it a week to remember. Bring on the Barca! 😇.

i thought we started the game very well - considering the changes made and the tricky surface - and the passing/ movement was great in the first half and we should have scored one or two more.
The second half was a different story with players losing energy and making too many mistakes - giving Kilmarnock encouragement.
There was an excuse for the guys on International duty, but others like McGregor, Armstrong, Sinclair and Roberts also seemed to fade after an hour; although I thought Forrest, Lustig and Eric were excellent, whereas Boyata was very poor and never looked comfortable.

Surface was terrible difficult to play on . Kilmarnock knew that so they didn't go out to play fielding two lines of four in defence with another player covering between the lines .
Players couldn't turn or change pace, therefore football wasn't pleasant on the eye .

@DN30 regarding your post about league not being over, I've got to agree with most of the other posters, no one will be near us this year, the pretenders are tripe and their manager is a bafoon who should go back to his city job before he has no credibility left he talks as much nonsense as big bluenose DJ. And we'll we've seen last couple years that the sheep have no bottle, and hearts are no better than the other 2 so can't see much of a challenge from anyone even at this stage in season 😎.

I was being sarcastic mate.

I can't see anyone getting close. Minimum 20 points ahead at end of season. For the first time in years the treble is on.

Hi guys, new poster here😀 been reading this forum for a while and get a great laugh at the banter, especially the delusional zombies that bite like big guppies 😅

Anyway on the topic of dembelle, I couldn't agree more felt he was a class signing from the off maybe even our best last window. Saw a fair bit of him watching championship last year and he looked the part in a lot of what I watched, has the potential to be a real star for us. Remember a few games into the season when some idiots on here were comparing him to amigo blade and 1 of my Hun mates was laughing at him and saying dodoo was twice the player lol, still makes me chuckle 😅😅😅HH.

I do remember that Marty, think the guy who posted it and is still posting his pearls of wisdom, has conveniently forgot about it, lol 😁.

2.) 25 Sep 2016 23:00:26
I remember it too fabadabadoo. It's the same poster that posted today that the leagues not over, the same poster that wanted Rodgers sacked after his first competitive game the same poster that thought Ronny was god and the same poster that had an unhealthy hatred for Neil Lennon.

3.) 26 Sep 2016 01:01:00
Ha stevie my favourite little troll. Not that i need to explain myself to yourself but was being sarcastic.

4.) 26 Sep 2016 08:41:50
I'll give you the benefit of doubt that yesterday's post was tongue in cheek and wanting Rodgers sacked after one game we"ll put down to you still pining for your beloved Ronny, I know you were hurting and your little brain was all in a muddle. Calling Dembele a dud was your judgement on a player that had played 2 or 3 games bizarre really when it took you nearly 100 games to realise Ronny wasn't up to the job. Your judgement of a player or manager is abysmal. You're making a fool of yourself coming out with your inane ramblings then calling it sarcasm.

5.) 26 Sep 2016 09:57:54
Ronny is no longer manager just in case you were unaware stevie. A lot of good came from tenure although unsucessful, DD stepped in and stopped the rot by pushing boat out to get a manager with a good reputation and halting PL in his failed experiment.

Also regards Dembele, i wasnt the only one who was concerned at start that we had possibly signed another dud striker but i was quick to hold my hands up before he scored first goal and admit i overreacted. Stevie your the type of person if my opinion was same as Chris Sutton or John Hartson, you would be full of praise.

Marty i noticed you were clearly refering to myself calling me an "idiot" for expressing my concern earlier in season. Well the only "idiot" is yourself for not saying something at the time. Its fans like you that irritate me, happy to go with the flow and watch club go to the wall in the past few seasons. Keep up the good work

Fabadadadoo did ye aye?

6.) 26 Sep 2016 11:34:33
Sorry DN I don't pay much attention to the opinions of Sutton or Hartson, I only pay attention to the opinions of Celtic fans.

7.) 26 Sep 2016 12:52:49
Stevie changed your tone from last season when you were defending them to hills and back saying they had every right to comment as not only were former players but also were supporters of club. Caught telling lies once again stevie. Exposed once again.

8.) 26 Sep 2016 13:03:07
Think this is the problem in football in general in recent years.
Far too many fans, pundits or media experts (loosely using that phrase) are way too quick of the mark about players and how good or not so good they are. It's easy to say a striker is poor when he doesn't score but not so easy to see everything else.
Dembele has started scoring now which is what he's paid for but prior to that I couldn't fault the boy for effort. He runs his socks off in games and imo he's only getting started.

Fans and pundits would see this if they actually watched the full game from the stadium instead of watching highlights.

Boom there's your dinner!

9.) 26 Sep 2016 14:18:40
DN you are a joke . Show me the post I said this trash you are spouting now, I'm intrigued. Remember past posts are easy to find by using the search at the top of the page. You really are a sad individual.

10.) 26 Sep 2016 16:48:36
The silence from DN is deafening once again caught out spouting more p××× .

11.) 26 Sep 2016 16:58:15
Stevie a very bitter and vile response. Just shows you have a guilty conscious and are embarrassed that you have been caught out telling lies once again. Yes that is true, you can search previous posts.

12.) 26 Sep 2016 17:05:33
Tick67 you forgot to add "also fans who contribute to a debate without reading previous replies". If you had read the whole thread instead of just the first post, you would of had a clearer understanding of issue I intially had like many other fans. I take it you were in Gibraltar for Lincoln game? Seeing as you think you are more educated to form an opinion than other supporters and pundits?

Boom theirs YOUR dinner Tick67.

13.) 26 Sep 2016 16:45:40
I called you a idiot on the post you claimed dembele was a dud.

14.) 26 Sep 2016 18:02:51
Fabadabadoo wasnt really bothered about you to be honest. correct me if i'm wrong but were you not the one bragging about stalking Evan Williams at PG shop the other week? Says it all really.

15.) 26 Sep 2016 18:25:23
DN don't dodge my request for you to show me this non existent post, give me the date I posted this, you can't can you because it doesn't exist. Only exists in that silly wee head of yours.

16.) 26 Sep 2016 19:10:57
Stevie anytime I type your name into search engine, it just comes up with dates and computer says "stevie is a fud"

17.) 26 Sep 2016 20:10:43
Ha ha DN, look I'm sorry if I've burst your bubble and shown you up for being a liar, but I never realised that you're obviously very immature going by your last few posts i. e making things up that never happened and calling people childish names are the traits of a 5 year old that has been caught telling fibs.

18.) 26 Sep 2016 19:34:51
yes I did mention meeting mr Williams in the local shop, so what, I will say again , I thought you were an idiot when you posted trashing young dembele. the speed with which you were gleefully trashing him, made me think perhaps you were a bear in hoops clothing.

19.) 26 Sep 2016 20:54:29
Haha where's your Dummy!

Btw i'm not saying for a min my opinion is more valid than anyone's but as a fan (on a fan forum) I'm entitled to an opinion the same as you are.

My only point was there were several fans and pundits a bit like you who were on the kids back after a handful of games.

How does humble pie taste btw.?

Kidding man, look we are all delighted with the boy he's looking like he could be the best striker we've had since the king.
It's all good.

HH.

20.) 27 Sep 2016 12:31:23
Fabadabadoo, I was critical of Dembele but "conveniently forgot" to also mention fact I also stated before he hit form that I overreacted and that he seemed a nervous person trying too hard.

So youre admitting you were stalking Mr Williams forcing him to put his house up for sale?
