Great result last night without playing particularly well. Could be an extremely important 3 points in the grand scheme of it. On a side note, did anyone else spot Craig Gordon on the bench at the first goal? No hint of any celebration whatsoever, even when all around him were loosing their minds! Can appreciate he's lost his place in the team at the moment, but just seemed a bit odd.

Get rid of him and save a huge wage.

2.) 28 Feb 2019 12:42:38
He yousty play for hearts maybe showing his old club some respect?

Well Bhoys and Ghirls. I hope after last night's performance, the names McKenna and Celtic are never mentioned in the same sentence.

Never watch them - unless we are playing them; but by what I've heard (and seen in our games v Aberdeen) he is a carthorse.

2.) 07 Feb 2019 16:23:46
OAB my old man always told me to judge a player from Scotland on how they do against Celtic.
Do they stand out?
Do they cause us problems
Do you hate seeing their name on a team sheet
Answer to all 3 is no when asking about mckenna.

Well Bhoys and Ghirls. Not long now until we cease listening to the constant Tom Kite "exclusively" revealed by unknown dogsbody reporters. We will know shortly if we've tooled up adequately for the remainder of the season and beyond.

We all know where we've needed to strengthen, and recent news regarding injuries have only highlighted this problem. Who knows, we may pull a rabbit or two out the hat yet!

However, I'm not too confident. If things end up going Pete Tong this season I'm convinced in my opinion either Mr Rodgers or Mr Lawell will be offski.

big book of cockney slang for Christmas?

2.) 30 Jan 2019 08:08:23
gerrymcgin. Hahaha. That made me laugh. Well played.

3.) 30 Jan 2019 09:52:40
Even though there have been huge criticism of our transfer strategy (or lack of it) and failure to improve from a position of strength; the severe and multiple injuries have been my biggest concern.

We have been without several key players for large parts of this season (and it's still happening) - that in comparison, no other team could have coped with. Yet have still managed to stay in front of the rest, win a trophy and stay in Europe - albeit with a bit of luck.

It's still possible to bring in one or two, but more importantly, maybe we still have time to offload - to free-up cash and make way?

4.) 30 Jan 2019 10:55:21
How is it lucky that we are still in Europe OAB?

5.) 30 Jan 2019 11:46:52
Never quite got that one "lucky to be in Europe" 9 pts gained and 2 clear points ahead of team in 3rd place 🤔.

6.) 30 Jan 2019 13:42:34
It was a bit of luck we got to go through, we all thought if we were going to qualify out of the group we were going to need to get a point against Salzburg on the last game. If it wasn’t for Rosenberg saving our bacon in the last minute it would have been a different story because Leipzig had the head to head against us. I can remember leaving the bar early in a we huff Because I thought we were out, wasn’t untell the next day I saw the paper in the shop. LUCKY BHOYS was the headline Rosenberg scores in the last minute to pick up their 1st point in the group. The smile on my face when I read at lol.

7.) 30 Jan 2019 14:08:56
Getting more points than our rivals is why we are through not luck.
We beat Rosenberg home and away. They couldn't. We had a better campaign it's that simple.

8.) 30 Jan 2019 15:36:25
I go with general theme, luck had nothing to do with it.
We got enough points from our previous games to end up with enough points to put us in second place. Not Luck
Just because it got down to the final group games to decide is neither here nor there.

Not football related Bhoys and Ghirls, but just like to mention the sad passing of top chef Andrew Fairlie. An unbelievablely talented man who created the only two star Michelin restaurant in Scotland at Gleneagles. As someone who works in the same industry I can appreciate the huge effort he and his team would have had to undertake to gain such a prestigious award. A very humble family man and massive Celtic man. He'll be sadly missed. RIP.

Massive three points. Big Eddie exceptional when he came on. Sinky took his goals really well and will be a huge confidence boost before Mordor.

I said exactly the same thing! Edouard was superb when he came on, Sinclair is really finding his form and thank God Benkovic recovered!
Great effort by Collum to try and deny us three points.

Something stinks big time here. If that's the case we are fully entitled to hear from PL to explain exactly what has happened here. Surely we as fans merit that. The more I'm reading, the more BR is p. ssing me off. We need to know the truth. He says he wasn't in a hurry to leave, they say they were will I g to wait. As I say, it reeks.

Surprised and extremely disappointed with this decision. He could have seen the season out. Leicester would have waited I'm sure if they really wanted him. Like I say, disappointed. He better get used to not playing in Europe.

Scott Brown staying is a wonderful piece of news. He's been a tremendous servant and thoroughly deserves a two year deal. Yes, he's probably been told he won't play every week, but to have his experience and leadership around the club is priceless. Also, I'd imagine he asked the gaffer what his plans for the future were before committing himself. Great news.

I'm pretty sure Lenny, along with John Kennedy, will maintain the standards set by our previous manager and coaching staff. Scott Brown wouldn't allow it anyhow.

Totally agree. Surely Leicester would have waited until the end of the season. He could have agreed to go on the provisio that he could finish the season with us and try for another treble. He's definitely left on a sour note, and only has himself to blame. He actually looked a bit awkward tonight when introduced to the crowd. He will need a tremendous slice of luck to even complete in Europe again with Leicester so I hope he realises what he's left. My opinion on the whole saga is that he simply cannot work with our CE, and he's bolted at the first opportunity. Feck him, life and our great club go on. HH.

Sadly, this is something we're never going to get rid of in my opinion. I live in the East, and wouldn't say for one minute it's as bad as what we see and hear over in the West. But it's there, and it does rear it's ugly head from time to time. I'm ex forces, and can recall being called fenian numerous times during my service. That was early 80s going into the 90s. I've been offshore 20 odd years and can still remember being asked " what fit do you kick wi" by a manager on first meeting. So it's there, and it's everywhere, and it will continue to be there. Where we, as Celtic supporters can help ourselves, is to concentrate on supporting the team, sing the "Celtic" songs, and don't give the media and "peepul" an excuse to question or run us down. Hail hail.

A massive stride forward to another league title. Granted we weren't at our best, and Kilmarnock had their game plan down to a tee, so credit where due, but these are defining moments in a season where the team never give up, and were rewarded quite beautifully yesterday. To see our manager and staff celebrate like that was also encouraging. Massive games coming up in the next couple of weeks, let's focus and put this to bed. HH.

Who in your opinion Ed, Would you like to see in charge if and when Brendan leaves?

JennyFleck

{Ed007's Note - I'd LOVE to see Marcelo Bielsa come in and Solskjaer seems to have learnt from his mistakes at Cardiff. More importantly for me I think once Rodgers does leave we need to bring in a DOF to run the overall footballing department and oversee the longer term development of it, someone to take Lawwell completely out of footballing decisions except for the financial side.}
