As if my day can't get any better, seems genuine progress on wee paddy.

I did say I would get Roberts 7 on ma new tap if he came back. Nothing worse than a near 40 something with a name on the back 😂.

1.) 18 Aug 2017 15:08:58
Just came on to look for a bit of confirmation of this story. Ed, do you know of any further details?

{Ed007's Note - City have agreed for Roberts to return to us on loan.}

2.) 18 Aug 2017 15:22:45
Should have known what was happening when reports came in that KT skipped home from Lennoxtown Today.

3.) 18 Aug 2017 15:53:42
Why's that Stan? Is he away home to make up the spare bed for him? lol HH.

4.) 18 Aug 2017 15:56:15
Read something there saying Celtic have denied we've agreed a deal for paddy! What the hell is going on here ED? Ma nerves can't take this! Is he coming or not? Lol.

{Ed007's Note - They probably haven't agreed a deal yet.}

5.) 18 Aug 2017 16:14:49
Quality!

6.) 18 Aug 2017 16:31:23
A permanent deal with buyback clause would have been better! A loan puts us back to square one next year!

7.) 18 Aug 2017 16:43:37
BTC, matching Celtic Tartan on the Bunk Bed next week.

8.) 18 Aug 2017 17:05:07
Lets hope the details include some sort of favourable provision for what happens in a year.

9.) 18 Aug 2017 19:17:20
Hi ED with PR supposed to be coming in next week do you think that he will be the last one in?

{Ed007's Note -No, I think there will be at least one more brought in.}

10.) 18 Aug 2017 22:15:30
CH or will NB play there do u think ED?

{Ed007's Note - Maybe a CB that can cover LB or vice versa. An injury to KT would be a severe blow as I don't think Miller's ready to step up and play regularly there especially at European level.}

17 Jun 2015 12:51:17
Hey Ed, seeing an online rumour regarding a former Celt and wearer of the famous 88 jersey - anything to add from your contact?

I'll be honest, would LOVE to see hoops back at paradise.

Cheers

Craigie__bhoy

{Ed007's Note - Last I heard was Lennon was taking him to Bolton on loan next season. }

1.) 17 Jun 2015 17:38:45
He would be my number 1 target for this summer. Banged them for us including a few in Europe and he loved a goal against Rangers. No risks involved in signing him unlike the strikers we've signed in trying to replace him. We know he can do the job for us, hope we go and get him!

2.) 17 Jun 2015 17:42:48
Hooper isn't a lone striker it would be a bad move for the system we play he wanted out and we don't need him back!

{Ed007's Note - I'd say need or want him back. He's just another player that realised the grass isn't always greener. He said he wanted out of CFC to further his England career and he was homesick, I guess flopping at Norwich and being as far away from the England squad than Robert the Bruce cures homesickness.}

3.) 17 Jun 2015 19:21:40
Nope not for me, not because he left or anything but because I genuinely don't think he would score any more then Griffiths would if given the same game time in our current formation. Do we have any promising Strikers in the development squad these days? i'm not saying we rely on them, was just curious.

4.) 17 Jun 2015 18:37:27
Maybe he has found a Scottish Grandmother .
I am not sure about Hooper coming back if that happened . He has spent two seasons on peripher of football at Norwich. Not getting regular first team football for two seasons may dent his goal scoring skills . Unlike LM67 I do see a risk taking him back, just like other possible strikers .
We could be lucky with him , but more players are not as good second time round .

5.) 17 Jun 2015 21:55:59
does anyone else think that we should not be playing a lone striker system?

6.) 17 Jun 2015 22:20:44
Does anyone think we can afford him? They spent £5 million on him and would be looking to recoup at least that as he must have 2 years left on his contract.

{Ed007's Note - There's his £30k a week wages as well, Niall.}

7.) 18 Jun 2015 00:08:42
Himself and Anthony Stokes formed a deadly partnership , we haven't had that since he left , I wouldn't mind him coming back , in our league he is a 30 goal a season striker .

8.) 18 Jun 2015 00:41:06
Did job when he was here but I for one would not want him back. He chose to try to further his ambitions by leaving Celtic for Norwich. Did a great job of it then. Did not see a rake of clubs suddenly realising what a great talent he was. You can still stand out in a poor team.

{Ed007's Note - We need to get away from wanting players to return, it rarely works out and it's a bit of a Zombie trait. I'd like to think that under the new regime and with our worldwide scouting network we can come up with someone better than the present day Hooper. Hooper returning would damage his standing with a lot of supporters imo.}

9.) 18 Jun 2015 00:46:20
There are far better options out there than Hooper.

10.) 18 Jun 2015 07:12:21
Who are the better options though? Since he left we've signed a South American striker from La Liga and a striker from Schalke among others, you would have thought they would tear up the SPL but they didn't. We know that Hooper would and we also know he can pop up with goals in big European games, something we don't have at present. I also think that despite his lack of goals his season in the EPL would have improved his all round game, holding the ball etc which would mean he is more suited to playing up top himself. Lennon also used him at the tip of a midfield diamond a few times so he is capable of playing behind the striker too. Loan deal with an option to buy for a couple of million? No brainer in my opinion

11.) 18 Jun 2015 17:22:56
Hooper the replacement for old standby Robbie Keane?

12.) 19 Jun 2015 00:54:48
Too injury prone imo, was great for us back then. that's where we should leave it.

22 Aug 2017 18:12:19
No pants please!

We need a new centre half - end of.

Craigie__bhoy

{Ed007's Note - Do you think a 20-years old from South Africa is the answer at CL level - I certainly don't.}

1.) 22 Aug 2017 18:19:15
Not for me Ed, on the positive side Ncham has looked incredible at times tonight. Composure, power, control. Can turn on a sixpence (whatever that is) always seems to have space.

{Ed007's Note - Ntcham's Celtic career has got off to a flier, he looks as if he's played in there for years and he can only get better.}

2.) 22 Aug 2017 18:19:49
And that should have said new pants. No pants is of course only a Saturday.

{Ed007's Note - :-D

3.) 22 Aug 2017 18:39:16
Come on, a dislike on the no pants on a Saturday? 😂😂😂😂😂😂.

4.) 22 Aug 2017 19:01:12
Ntcham cost £4.5 mill. That is what we need to spend on a player who can make a difference. Rather than buying £1mill players buy better players who will not can make a difference. 2 more Ntchams needed not £1mill South African centre halfs.

5.) 22 Aug 2017 19:01:20
Captain Fecking underpants! oooft.

6.) 22 Aug 2017 19:53:46
spot on ed and Johnny, totally agree it reeks of the cheap option, i can't believe he is BR's first choice. i always wondering what happens to that CL money, at least 60m now from last and present years, our board say they don't budget for CL so where does this money go? once again our have taken great risks, even a blind man could see we needed a new CB. that second have performance was ficking terrible but what do you except from a makeshift defence.

over the moon to be through but raging at that performance.

7.) 22 Aug 2017 20:03:36
Give the guy a chance.

8.) 22 Aug 2017 20:14:14
None of us have even seen this cb play yet let's give him a chance could be a new vvd.

{Ed007's Note - Van Dijk came from Holland which is a big step up from South African league level.}

9.) 22 Aug 2017 21:29:42
In fairness, as good as van Dijk was, he never really shone on the European stage for us.

18 Aug 2017 13:39:00
Just watched a few clips, read some articles on Kieran Tierney. This kid is special, living the dream of all of us but ACTUALLY knows he is.

In a world of football madness (Diego Costa's current situation for example, ridiculous inflated English fees) KT is wonderful example of how to conduct yourself as a footballer. Would bleed dry for our club. In my opinion, which I am aware means nothing, he is priceless.

I think it's beyond a man crush now. KT I genuinely love you, think we all do.

Craigie__bhoy

1.) 18 Aug 2017 14:14:55
Reminds me of McStay a class act with a genuine love of the Club. Hope we have him his entire career.

2.) 18 Aug 2017 14:41:32
He's bulking up and a lot fitter. The kids 1 of the best in Britain. No doubt the press will have him moving on! When you look thru the celtic team there's loads of players worth good transfer fees. Hopefully nobody leaves this year and a few players are added. When Dembele is back I hope he has a great season and can make the step up to the french national squad for next years world cup. His price tag will be huge!

3.) 18 Aug 2017 15:11:30
Agree KT is priceless, besides the skill and ability to adapt, there is that passion which cannot be bought. He is immense.

4.) 18 Aug 2017 15:31:27
One of the best in Britain? One of the best in Europe! This is a lad MARCA put in their best young XI along with the 150m rated Mbappé.

5.) 18 Aug 2017 15:36:11
Couldnt believe the difference in him pre season he's like the Hulk. Nothing better than having a player who not only loves the club but is dedicated to being the best player/ athlete he can be. Must have been some feeling for him being captain in the huddle last week.

6.) 18 Aug 2017 16:12:43
That bhoys is going to be best in the world. No way He is staying in Scotland his whole career. He should be taking Spanish lessons the now because he's got Barcelona wrote all over him.

7.) 18 Aug 2017 16:12:48
The development under BR is there for all to see. His man management is second to none! The players are fitter, stronger and have a winning mentally throughout the squad.

8.) 18 Aug 2017 19:35:15
@Kev83,you are spot on, he will not bother with the epl rubbish and go directly to real or Barca, he is a winner, we should enjoy him while we can.

9.) 20 Aug 2017 21:35:55
hes already at a bigger club than barca.

17 Aug 2017 21:59:48
See Rosenborg beat Ajax in Amsterdam tonight 😳 Again puts what we are doing perspective. Great times, like many of us today - can't stop smiling.

Craigie__bhoy

1.) 17 Aug 2017 22:33:35
did you see the stats though? Looks like Ajax dominated and got sucker punched.

2.) 17 Aug 2017 23:00:32
Just saw the result gbhoy. In any case, possession, shots on goal etc won't get you into the next round draw - these games are all about winning. HH 🍀💪🏼.

3.) 17 Aug 2017 23:35:36
True dat.

4.) 18 Aug 2017 07:35:43
Dont forget, if Rosenborg had a bit more luck they could have left CP with a 1 or 2 goal lead. HH.

5.) 18 Aug 2017 07:54:28
Good point bob - I had actually totally dismissed form memory the fact Rosenberg had at least 2 very good chances at our place.

Thanks for reminding me :)

6.) 20 Aug 2017 21:28:18
You pipped me tp that post mate. I rated Rosenborg. They would have pumped the mankies.

26 May 2017 20:34:20
Timalloy, what's your thinking for a wee flutter tomorrow?

Not much fun or returns on a Celtic win and Griffiths to score!

No dirty teams cannae see a red card, penalty maybe? Celtic -2? Any thoughts?

Craigie__bhoy

1.) 26 May 2017 21:04:39
@Craigie-bhoy teams not dirty? remember Madden is the ref
an ordering off is 11/ 4, penalty 9/ 4, Brown booking 6/ 4
as for goalscorers I fancy Griffiths at 7/ 4 anytime, Rogic 9/ 4 and wee paddy 7/ 4, but whisper it Rooney is 11/ 4
half with most goals second at 1/ 1
Take your pick
Also remember tomorrow is cup final day in europe also so take a wee acca of
Chelsea, Celtic, Barcelona, Dortmund and Paris St Germain all odds on but acca should pay about 4/ 1.

2.) 26 May 2017 22:55:19
You'd be looking at more like 6 or 7/ 1 for that Tim. I took Celtic, Chelsea, Dortmund at 3/ 1.

3.) 27 May 2017 03:06:23
I put a wee bet on Celtic and Chelsea both to win and over 2.5 goals scored in game, got 4/ 1.

4.) 27 May 2017 11:26:33
Sinclair first goal 4/ 1. Some value in that price.

23 Apr 2017 14:16:55
McGregor gets a tough time from some quarters but think he plays the role well and what a finish.

Bang on to start him before Rogic having only just come back from injury.

Well done Callum, keep it up son - having a very solid season.

Craigie__bhoy

1.) 23 Apr 2017 14:56:51
Well played passing was great motm for me.

2.) 23 Apr 2017 14:49:39
He's a excellent little player Craigie he does get stick from some quarters but he's tidy and hard working Brown was absolutely outstanding today. Have a great safe day.

3.) 23 Apr 2017 15:24:49
I agree. I like McGregor because he keeps the ball moving at a pace that suits our style. He's not a standout player but i can see what he brings to the squad. I think he'll stay this summer!

{Ed007's Note - I hope he stays and with 2 years left on his current deal I'd be looking to get him tied down for longer. Replacing McGregor, even for someone at the same level, would cost us millions and a lot more in wages than he's on too.}

Very brave!
