I'm hearing from a guy who first mentioned Defoe to Sevo that Wanyama will arrive loan. Not saying it's true, simply passing on a rumour.

1.) 11 Jan 2019 21:18:56
I’d love this to be true Europa league is ours if the big fella arrives 😂👍🏼.

2.) 11 Jan 2019 23:15:50
Twitter talk again, Scott McKenna deal almost done, £4million + Hayes and Hendry.

3.) 11 Jan 2019 23:55:16
Swap Wanyama for Ntcham.

4.) 12 Jan 2019 00:05:53
folks be fawning about this on twitter. I must say it would be an exciting prospect as far as I'm concerned. At the time I thought he was the best player in a celtic shirt since Larsson.

5.) 12 Jan 2019 00:09:55
C'mon bring big McKenna in. This is a positive folks big strong, fast and young.

6.) 12 Jan 2019 03:22:21
I would absolutely love it if big vic came home. He would boss it here, could u just imagine Davis trying to get past wanyama 😂 he'd be the wee drunk man v the bouncer.

7.) 12 Jan 2019 18:23:54
OAB think that would be good but we would have to give them heaps of cash as.

8.) 13 Jan 2019 11:26:10
Spurs won’t allow him to leave as they have just sold Dembele to China for £11m. He’s only not in squad due to injury, as soon as he’s fit he will be in match day squad.
The gaffa signed him twice both at Southampton and Spurs so obviously rates him.

9.) 13 Jan 2019 11:33:10
Would also love big Vic back but can’t see that happening.

18 Aug 2017 14:58:27
As if my day can't get any better, seems genuine progress on wee paddy.

I did say I would get Roberts 7 on ma new tap if he came back. Nothing worse than a near 40 something with a name on the back 😂.

Craigie__bhoy

1.) 18 Aug 2017 15:08:58
Just came on to look for a bit of confirmation of this story. Ed, do you know of any further details?

{Ed007's Note - City have agreed for Roberts to return to us on loan.}

2.) 18 Aug 2017 15:22:45
Should have known what was happening when reports came in that KT skipped home from Lennoxtown Today.

3.) 18 Aug 2017 15:53:42
Why's that Stan? Is he away home to make up the spare bed for him? lol HH.

4.) 18 Aug 2017 15:56:15
Read something there saying Celtic have denied we've agreed a deal for paddy! What the hell is going on here ED? Ma nerves can't take this! Is he coming or not? Lol.

{Ed007's Note - They probably haven't agreed a deal yet.}

5.) 18 Aug 2017 16:14:49
Quality!

6.) 18 Aug 2017 16:31:23
A permanent deal with buyback clause would have been better! A loan puts us back to square one next year!

7.) 18 Aug 2017 16:43:37
BTC, matching Celtic Tartan on the Bunk Bed next week.

8.) 18 Aug 2017 17:05:07
Lets hope the details include some sort of favourable provision for what happens in a year.

9.) 18 Aug 2017 19:17:20
Hi ED with PR supposed to be coming in next week do you think that he will be the last one in?

{Ed007's Note -No, I think there will be at least one more brought in.}

10.) 18 Aug 2017 22:15:30
CH or will NB play there do u think ED?

{Ed007's Note - Maybe a CB that can cover LB or vice versa. An injury to KT would be a severe blow as I don't think Miller's ready to step up and play regularly there especially at European level.}

17 Jun 2015 12:51:17
Hey Ed, seeing an online rumour regarding a former Celt and wearer of the famous 88 jersey - anything to add from your contact?

I'll be honest, would LOVE to see hoops back at paradise.

Cheers

Craigie__bhoy

{Ed007's Note - Last I heard was Lennon was taking him to Bolton on loan next season. }

1.) 17 Jun 2015 17:38:45
He would be my number 1 target for this summer. Banged them for us including a few in Europe and he loved a goal against Rangers. No risks involved in signing him unlike the strikers we've signed in trying to replace him. We know he can do the job for us, hope we go and get him!

2.) 17 Jun 2015 17:42:48
Hooper isn't a lone striker it would be a bad move for the system we play he wanted out and we don't need him back!

{Ed007's Note - I'd say need or want him back. He's just another player that realised the grass isn't always greener. He said he wanted out of CFC to further his England career and he was homesick, I guess flopping at Norwich and being as far away from the England squad than Robert the Bruce cures homesickness.}

3.) 17 Jun 2015 19:21:40
Nope not for me, not because he left or anything but because I genuinely don't think he would score any more then Griffiths would if given the same game time in our current formation. Do we have any promising Strikers in the development squad these days? i'm not saying we rely on them, was just curious.

4.) 17 Jun 2015 18:37:27
Maybe he has found a Scottish Grandmother .
I am not sure about Hooper coming back if that happened . He has spent two seasons on peripher of football at Norwich. Not getting regular first team football for two seasons may dent his goal scoring skills . Unlike LM67 I do see a risk taking him back, just like other possible strikers .
We could be lucky with him , but more players are not as good second time round .

5.) 17 Jun 2015 21:55:59
does anyone else think that we should not be playing a lone striker system?

6.) 17 Jun 2015 22:20:44
Does anyone think we can afford him? They spent £5 million on him and would be looking to recoup at least that as he must have 2 years left on his contract.

{Ed007's Note - There's his £30k a week wages as well, Niall.}

7.) 18 Jun 2015 00:08:42
Himself and Anthony Stokes formed a deadly partnership , we haven't had that since he left , I wouldn't mind him coming back , in our league he is a 30 goal a season striker .

8.) 18 Jun 2015 00:41:06
Did job when he was here but I for one would not want him back. He chose to try to further his ambitions by leaving Celtic for Norwich. Did a great job of it then. Did not see a rake of clubs suddenly realising what a great talent he was. You can still stand out in a poor team.

{Ed007's Note - We need to get away from wanting players to return, it rarely works out and it's a bit of a Zombie trait. I'd like to think that under the new regime and with our worldwide scouting network we can come up with someone better than the present day Hooper. Hooper returning would damage his standing with a lot of supporters imo.}

9.) 18 Jun 2015 00:46:20
There are far better options out there than Hooper.

10.) 18 Jun 2015 07:12:21
Who are the better options though? Since he left we've signed a South American striker from La Liga and a striker from Schalke among others, you would have thought they would tear up the SPL but they didn't. We know that Hooper would and we also know he can pop up with goals in big European games, something we don't have at present. I also think that despite his lack of goals his season in the EPL would have improved his all round game, holding the ball etc which would mean he is more suited to playing up top himself. Lennon also used him at the tip of a midfield diamond a few times so he is capable of playing behind the striker too. Loan deal with an option to buy for a couple of million? No brainer in my opinion

11.) 18 Jun 2015 17:22:56
Hooper the replacement for old standby Robbie Keane?

12.) 19 Jun 2015 00:54:48
Too injury prone imo, was great for us back then. that's where we should leave it.

26 Aug 2020 21:39:53
Another absolute shambles. Utter disgrace, team selection horrific and Jesus do we need a defender that can actually defend. So many European lows like this is recent years, joke club.

Craigie__bhoy

1.) 26 Aug 2020 21:45:15
Aye let's blame lenny for full international players being bang average eddy not fit ajeti not fit griff not fit klimala orib not ready and the defending from or back line was a joke 2 decent balls all night and coyudnt handle it . This was the players who embarrassed us.

2.) 26 Aug 2020 21:49:53
Why do we have three unfit strikers and one who isn't good enough? this has been going on for 3 seasons!

3.) 26 Aug 2020 21:50:33
Embarrassed indeed. Not even close to a champions league team. This was still two rounds BEFORE the champions league. Disgusts me.

4.) 26 Aug 2020 21:53:36
Mally BEHAVE . NL is the manager . according to you we train like. maniacs every day. the whole club is in a malaise with players who THINK they are better than they are and a manager who was shocked to get the job again, showed willing, brought energy and has since become a slob in the job . he needs to wise or call himself a taxi.

5.) 26 Aug 2020 21:53:46
Mally he’s tactically inept he’s absolutely pathetic excuse of a coach can’t/ won’t drop his mates when was last time brown Cal Mac Ntcham Christie all playing worked?
Teams are a reflection of their manager we looked lost and no ideas they were buzzing about organised closing down space the blame falls at Lennons feet.

6.) 26 Aug 2020 21:53:51
No this was lennon 5 subs 2-1 down and he brings a CF on with 15 mins to go his tactics were pathetic we should have a striker or two on at home. This should be lennon last chance. How many times in big games has he gone with no cf upfront a put a midfielder up there. Why sign these guys if he doesn't trust them he could have started with ajeti and took him off when he tired and then brought klimala on it no he plays rubbish tactics as normal against bang average opposition I feel totally let down by lennon I didn't want him in the first place but gave him a chance and plaudits when he won the cup and the league so he can take my criticism. Total disgrace.

25 May 2019 17:01:08
Obviously delighted with the result but my god that was poor. Quality is in a steady decline.

We need to get this manager appointment right. Over to you Mr. Lawell.

Craigie__bhoy

{Ed007's Note - David Moyes?}

1.) 25 May 2019 17:22:45
Hint Ed?

{Ed007's Note - Yes mate and anyone holding out hope for AVB can forget it as he'll more than likely get the Marseilles job after Benitez made it clear he wasn't interested.}

2.) 25 May 2019 18:15:59
See they have just offered the job to lennon.

3.) 25 May 2019 18:43:44
Found that out at the counter. Better than Moyes I guess.

25 May 2019 15:49:00
Absolutely abysmal first half. And there are people that think Lennon should get the job?

As poor a first half as I've seen!

Craigie__bhoy

1.) 25 May 2019 16:03:13
Player for player we are better from one to eleven, yet no shots on target. Regardless of the result today we need to change a fair bit as for quite a while we have been flat.

2.) 25 May 2019 16:12:52
For me that’s game over, we are devoid of ideas hope I’m proved wrong . oldkilly.

3.) 25 May 2019 16:42:16
Delighted to be proved wrong at the minute, oh me of little faith. oldkilly.

4.) 25 May 2019 17:17:07
Yeah, give Lennon the job. Don’t underestimate what he has done to get it over the line. Absolute legend he is. That’s 4 of the 8 league titles he has won and people think he’s not good enough? Careful what you wish for!

25 Aug 2018 16:54:45
This is a wee bit random, but if anyone knows the deal with this please enlighten me!

For years now, going back to the days of Sutton smashing in volleys against Juve, when playing in Europe, the Bhoys have worn their numbers on their backs on top of a white patch. This has continued until it seems, this season.

So firstly, was the white patch just some uefa rule? And anyone know why we haven't worn that style of number in Europe this season?

Would love to get my hands on one of those shirts but doesn't look like they are made for sale.

Any info welcome from you knowledgeable lot!

Craigie__bhoy

1.) 25 Aug 2018 17:20:45
They had to have their shirts like that so the referee can see their numbers more clearly.

2.) 25 Aug 2018 18:03:31
Ye it's an UEFA rule. Can mind fans moaning about it when it came in.

3.) 25 Aug 2018 18:46:46
Used to like the strips like that wi the numbers on the shorts.

4.) 25 Aug 2018 20:07:36
I don’t think we had numbers on jersey at all when I was a laddie only on shorts but that was a problem in Europe?

5.) 25 Aug 2018 20:20:14
Can vaguely remember black numbers going on some euro nights. Can remember the 1st number I got
9 for dziekanowski lol I was getting 7 for Joe Miller then he worse 9 in the final v rangers so settled on 9 on the strip that looked like wallpaper.

6.) 25 Aug 2018 20:39:11
Cheers boys. I remember Dzoekanowski being a hellava player, not sure he was though. Was a fan of Wdowczyk at left back too.

7.) 25 Aug 2018 20:41:09
@jfp I seem to remember is starting a season in the 90’s with numbers on our sleeves so as not to break up the hoops. Think thst was the first time we were made to wear shirt numbers. Could be speaking crap though!

8.) 25 Aug 2018 21:17:52
94 95 season. Think a ref booked the wrong player and blamed it on there was no number on the back.

03 Feb 2018 14:30:24
WTF was that.

No need to say anything else.

Craigie__bhoy

1.) 03 Feb 2018 15:19:11

Any word on if Ajeti is injured or just missing out? But of a worry for me considering the fee we paid for him. Looked relatively sharp early in season too.

No gamboa. If he’s not injured then that just about ends his time here. Strange how he was ordered inside of the European games, maybe more so lat campaign right enough.

So poor today. Been poor since BR left. Team selection a joke, Johnston has a future but he was hopeless at irbrox previously, why today? Lustig has to go, terrible and scared again today.

NL full time? Not for me and I’m sure many thousand more

Not nearly good enough.
