I read that NL will go in for Hooper (loan) in the next transfer window. I would really like us to make a move for him instead.

Briggs

1.) Why live in the past mate? Hooper has had his time at celtic. Time for someone to get their chance

2.) Dn30 don't know about living in the past. I would agree if he was past it or too old but he's only 26. Mulgrew came back and has done relatively well and hooper is a far more superior player than him. He was our most prolific striker since Larsson and you must admit we have been struggling to find a decent replacement since he left. Guaranteed goals in domestic and euro comps.

3.) Can't see hooper coming, tbh would rather they tried to get Guidetti signed up full time

4.) I agree Chris30 we need to get guidetti signed up on a long term contract really like what I have seen from him so far and we also can't forget he's not even fully fit yet think this boy will be a star for celtic

{Ed007's Note - If we could get Guidetti signed up I would forgive Pedro for blowing the signing of Finnbogason.

5.) Briggs i'm not disagreeing with you. He is a good striker, who done the damage both domestically and in europe. Just think its unfair on likes of guidetti who is performing well so far and the potential to sign guidetti for buttons, is far more viable

6.) I think Hooper has gone backwards since the left to join that massive English Team.

Would be more happier with Guidetti or another if we cannot tie him to a long term deal.

7.) Agree with everyone regarding guidetti. Cracking prospect when he gets fit and settles in. Just thought him and hoops would be great together.

8.) Hooper had his chance to be one of the Bhoys unfortunately his love of money was more important than his football career .
Unlike Larsson, who appreciated his role at Celtic and the support he got on and off the field, Hooper thought he was the star .

9.) Briggs I would also love to see hooper & guidetti in same team like prob most celtic fans but I do agree with most can't see him coming back & in my opinion his scoring record wasn't great in Europe, I loved the guy when he was here but feel he could have stayed a couple more years the same as Waynama I feel Southampton starting to only see this season how good a player he is, in my opinion Hooper playing for a Southampton or an Everton would easily score 15 goals a season in pl but just think he was too quick to jump to Norwich way World Cup on his mind which I hate to say he had no chance of making playing with no disrespect Norwich, agree with a lot celtic fans just now if this is guidetti not fully fit can't wait to see what he's like 100%, Hooper had his time & I thank him but time to move on, Scepovic hat trick tonight lol.

Another betting masterclass I see tim! Lol!

Briggs

1.) 07 Jul 2016 09:35:22
Another resounding victory for the mighty Glasgow sevco against well known giants of football charleston battery haha.

2.) 07 Jul 2016 10:17:36
That charleston battery team don't even play in the mls they play in the usl ha ha mighty first victory ha ha.

3.) 07 Jul 2016 10:24:09
Ha ha Briggs I will take it in the chin (and my pocket £30 quid ouch) but I fully expect to recoup this cash and ten times it when the new club start in the SPFL. Luckily I was betting with bookies money after Portugal win, and I have each way top scorer bets on Griesman (spelling) and Ronaldo still going.

4.) 07 Jul 2016 13:28:16
You won't be playing with bookie money for long tim if you are sitting betting on meaningless friendlies betting on any team in a friendly is daft when teams at are swapping full line ups at half time.

I see the negetive spin has already been placed on our new safe standing announcement already, with the daily ranger quoting a hillsbourgh victims mother that the announcement was insensitive as the inquest was only a week old. The tradegy happened 27years ago and although I have sympathy with the victims, the family's have to move on and put it to.

Briggs

{Ed007's Note - With all due respect I fail to see how the two things are even connected.}

1.) 05 May 2016 17:14:10
Spot on Ed. The tragedy, as we are now seeing, was a total procedural failure by the match Commander and leading officers in controlling and eventually realising what was happening. Nothing to do with standing or seating arrangements. Not sure if I like the idea of standing areas but I appreciate some people do and the concept has been tested successfully elsewhere. The club are responding to requests from their supporters/ paying public.

2.) 05 May 2016 18:34:01
A think it's a good idea if fans want it at the Rangers/ Celtic match a few weeks ago the full Rangers end stood for the full match and it seemed it was the same in the Celtic end! happy belated birthday ed.

{Ed007's Note - Cheers Ryan.}

3.) 05 May 2016 20:55:45
Wow! That's a pretty grubby bit of crap journalism right there. Would like to think it at least involved the effort of a board meeting with a graph showing potential effects on Celtic's branding but in all probability it was a hurried "bad stuff about Celtic" Google search from a taxi.

4.) 05 May 2016 21:22:22
I doubt if any of the 96 families even knew about our announcement . and as all football fans from that era know the standing wasn't tbe problem it was the access to the terraces and those horrible pens.

5.) 05 May 2016 22:30:17
It's gutter journalism at its very worst. It wasn't safe standing sections that caused people to die, it was dangerous levels of overcrowding. And what's the club supposed to do, not renew season tickets because of the Hillsbrough ruling?

One name that usually gets mentioned but I've not heard yet. Stuart Baxter! Was he not close to getting it a few years ago?

Briggs

1.) 23 Apr 2016 01:12:50
i think you mean ena baxter.

2.) 23 Apr 2016 13:36:46
Stanley Baxter, the board is full of comedians.

17 Apr 2016 16:23:34
@timalloy. Who the hell do you think you are blaming supporters for that result today? So what if some fans backed the manager. I seem to remember not to long ago you came on here and admitted you were wrong about RD and were willing to give him a chance! You should wind your neck in. After what you have went through recently, you should realise there is more to life than football!

Briggs

1.) 17 Apr 2016 17:22:18
I agree.

I really don't think this is the time for point scoring - I don't see what it brings. As well as which it's a totally disingenuous attack because it suggests that had Celtic won, people would have suddenly supported RD 100% -- which was never going to happen. He was damned either way TBH, and is almost certainly going to go sooner or later - but there's no need to lord it up over fellow fans who wanted to support the manager.

2.) 17 Apr 2016 17:38:22
@Briggs I blame all the so called fans like you kept saying "give Delia a chance" well we all DID give him a chance but he was always struggling as he is a very poor manager, all his promises of "getting us fitter" in all our european games and even today we looked off the pace, that is down to the manager no one else.
@Poeticpatient I am not point scoring as you say, I have said from day one this man was not up to the job and sadly I have been proven right, but it is fans like both of you and lots others who have kept this clown in his job, he should have gone sooner, much sooner.
I guarantee there will be more than me not renewing my season tickets until big changes are made at the club, watch the reaction of the vast majority of Celtic fans they will ensure Deila, Collins, and hopefully Parks and Lawwell will go.

3.) 17 Apr 2016 17:58:08
-Tim

The very fact you use a statement proclaiming how you have called it from day one as evidence of your point, is exactly why it's point scoring. It's "I'm right, you're wrong" stuff. I understand that it's an emotional time, I just don't see how you blaming other fans helps anyone, least of all the club.

One thing I do take exception too is the:

"fans like both of you and lots others who have kept this clown in his job"

First of all, my season tickets last year and this year won't decide whether or not Ronny is or isn't in a job. My continued attendance to games that were half empty, and continued support of the team, won't decide whether or not Ronny is or isn't in a job. I have never been an RD defender, nor have I been one of the RD out brigade. My reluctance to demand he is fired daily does not make me ignorant to/ of his failings.

My opinion is the same today as it was yesterday, and the week before, and so on:

The problems (and malaise) at the club run deeper than our manager. If/ when he is sacked, I don't think much will change UNLESS it's at a higher level as well.

I support the team - and I'll continue to do so.

If RD is sacked, which I think will happen now anyway, then I hope there are sweeping changes across the (literal/ figurative) board - otherwise it's all in vain. That's been my opinion all along.

And none of the changes the fact that point scoring and/ or blaming fans is unnecessary. Like I said above, if RD had won today, I doubt you wouldn't be on saying how wrong you were - and I doubt people would have been expecting you to either.

We win together, we lose together.

4.) 17 Apr 2016 18:04:07
what did you do any different from us apart from not supporting RD on a fans forum? Did you protest at the stadium? Did you get in contact with the board? Of course you didn't you did hee-haw! To call fellow fans
'so called fans' for backing a manager is a new one for me

Alright Ed any idea where I can catch a stream for the Frampton v Quigg fight later on the android? Never watched anything other than the footie. Cheers.

Briggs

{Ed001's Note - if you use Kodi, you can usually find streams on there for any major bouts. You might need to trawl through WWE and UFC apps to find one though.}

1.) 27 Feb 2016 09:57:37
Yes Ed I have kodi and I have wookie installed also. Will have a look on those. Cheers.

{Ed001's Note - good luck mate, hope you find a good one.}

2.) 27 Feb 2016 10:48:30
Cheers Ed hopefully anyone with a link will post it on here.

{Ed007's Note - Check Moneysports mate.}

3.) 27 Feb 2016 11:38:33
How's the quality? I've only ever watched films on mine as I still have sky and watch my football on that but was wanting to watch the fight and am not for giving another £20 or whatever they charging I give them plenty as it is!

{Ed007's Note - If you look about you'll find good HD quality, Ryan. For the EPL matches the quality of Robocop's streams are as good as Sly/BT. I'm with Virgin so I get BT Sports free but I cancelled my sports and movies months ago when I bought my T8 and I'm delighted with it and so is the Mrs because the bill has dropped a good bit.
You can set up a TV guide just like you have on your Sly/Virgin box and have all their channels there just like normal. I've got the Wookie build on mine but I'm thinking of changing over to Blackbox as it's been recommended by our resident expert, the dyslexic Welsbhoy from The Valleys.}

4.) 27 Feb 2016 18:19:36
Cheers ed I'll have a bash at the boxing tonight it's a fire stick I have that's been chipped but am still not convinced with it I'll try again! 👍🏿.

{Ed007's Note - You should have a mess about with it and see what you think with the quality etc. Here you go, and don't say I'm not good to you (wink)

w1

5.) 27 Feb 2016 18:40:04
Cheers mate I'll give it a try see how a go!

{Ed007's Note - (yes)

6.) 27 Feb 2016 18:55:28
Ryan I've messed about with a cheap Chinese box for a season and a half. At new year there I bought this t8 droid box on the advice of ed and it's the best £60 I've spent. So much quicker than my old box. Better quality. Movies and sports are great and as much comedy shows as you can handle. Would highly recommend it mate.

{Ed007's Note - I'm no expert but I'd strongly advise anyone not to buy one of those cheap boxes. Even from just reading up on what box to buy etc all I read were stories about them being a waste of money.}

7.) 27 Feb 2016 19:23:19
Don't get me wrong the cheap one done me a turn but it was just very time consuming. If that t8 crashes you turn it off and on and it's sorted in seconds. The cheap one was £30 and the t8 was £60 well worth the extra money.
