I know it's probably done to death at the moment but does anyone know who the next manager will be. Anyone in the know? . I only get my info online out here and with ridiculous suggestions like Mourinho I've not got a clue.

Bribhoy

1.) 10 May 2019 06:15:49
Bribhoy, I think it's best to assume that Lennon will be announced as the permanent manager until the club says otherwise. A thousand people will have a thousand opinions but that's all they are. HH.

2.) 10 May 2019 10:43:43
Thanks Bob. Could be worse. 😉.

3.) 10 May 2019 11:10:07
Think it will be Lennon but hope I'm wrong. Problem is I can't think of many realistic candidates. Like ed said, it would be interesting to see who's applied. We can hope.

4.) 10 May 2019 19:14:05
I hope it's not Lenny and the board have got who will be next manager sorted now ready to go in right after the cup final.

5.) 10 May 2019 23:49:06
Bielsa if he doesn't get promoted? 😉 Doesn't spend too much either so will suit how the board work.

6.) 12 May 2019 03:40:02
It’s Lennon I feel bad for the guy doesn’t know what’s happening if he has a job or not, not many guys would have came in as an intern manager he’s bailed us out! Big ask to come and fill Brendan’s shoes, I personally would rather someone else to manage us but at the end of the day who can Celtic attract, we got lucky with Rodgers because he was a Celtic man and out of work. Imagine Jose Mourinho coming to Scotland and standing at pittodrie with a half empty stadium, and at the most a club record of 9million to spend on a player lol.

Does anyone know of paddy roberts injury progress. Thanks in advance.

Bribhoy

1.) 13 Jan 2018 10:38:59
Bribhoy according to Brendan himself, Roberts not expected back playing until end of February, Rogic could be back end of January.

2.) 13 Jan 2018 10:41:20
He is doing light training and looks to be on course for February return.

3.) 13 Jan 2018 11:07:02
Been a real waste of money this loan deal with little return.

Hindsight obviously but surely we have a player in mind for a permanent transfer going forward

I’d love to see us go for Sebastian Giovinco - unsure of what he earns in the MLS but the kind of creative player we need for Europe.

4.) 13 Jan 2018 11:47:37
I’d imagine Paddy is the obvious choice for a permanent signing Kev.

5.) 13 Jan 2018 11:50:42
Gionvinco went to the MLS as the highest paid player at the time. He’s now been overtaken by Kaka and David Villa, but he’s on well over 100k a week.

6.) 13 Jan 2018 12:01:55
Paddy was outstanding last year and can only remember one injury he's been unlucky this year but as far as the loan we could have paid 6mill for him and he'd still be injured.

7.) 13 Jan 2018 13:18:37
Yeah but he’d be our player if he signed.

Hopefully gets back fit and well soon as we could have done with him in late December.

8.) 13 Jan 2018 17:11:48
Would absolutely love it if we used the VVD money towards securing wee Paddy.

9.) 13 Jan 2018 20:36:48
A fit on form Paddy is our best player. Hope we can secure him long term.

10.) 14 Jan 2018 12:15:36
It's been a nightmare season for the wee man considering he had virtually no pre-season preparation and this contributed to his injuries and stop-start second spell.
He has proved what he can do when fit and confident and I would be delighted if we could secure PR on a long term deal.

11.) 15 Jan 2018 03:16:19
Thanks for the above info. Hopefully we can get a bit of spark back after the winter break. All the players firing on all cylinders makes for an exciting second half to the season.

08 Jan 2018 12:11:33
As an expat only get info from the papers and online here. Any truth in sturidge rumours or is it paper talk? Any other solid info on new potential signings would be appreciated!

Bribhoy

1.) 08 Jan 2018 18:12:25
I haven't seen Sturridge mentioned in any paper online and I usually do a google news search on Celtic every day. I'm assuming then, that the Sturridge link has came from one of the tw*tter experts that I do not follow. Sturridge, when fit, was an excellent player, who the manager knows and would really fit our style. However it's a huge gamble given that he hasn't stayed fit for so long. Then there's the matter of him probably being on more than 100k a week, which makes any sort of permanent deal an absolute pipe-dream.

2.) 08 Jan 2018 17:38:35
Bribhoy
Is that short for Brittany bhoy?
Any cache clubs down there?

3.) 10 Jan 2018 09:50:37
Don't live in Brittany Island Celt. Over in Oz so this is my only real line of information apart from the papers online but that info is sometimes hard to believe :)

If the newspapers speculation dictated our season we wouldn't be the record breakers we are. RB in and it will be another whitewash. Hail. Hail.

Best old firm goal. Nakamura first. Any other takers?

Bribhoy

1.) 03 Jul 2019 04:35:59
Paul lamberts screamer in the 2 0 new year game.

2.) 03 Jul 2019 08:10:05
Larson, 6-2 game were he ripped Hendry a new one and wrong footed and lobbed the keeper in one go. Also Lubo expression when he got his first against the old mob.

3.) 03 Jul 2019 08:49:43
Sutton in the last minute to complete the whitewash.

4.) 03 Jul 2019 08:52:49
Alan Thompson. Off the bar against klos, or the free kick, or the one he cut in past 3 men and rolled it into the corner from 20yards. aye so just anything by Alan Thompson.

5.) 03 Jul 2019 08:56:10
Big Sutton’s chip from about 30 yards in the 91st minute over klos! Shrugged off de boer with ease and lobbed klos from outside the box, absolutely superb!

6.) 03 Jul 2019 09:18:30
Larrson's chip.

7.) 03 Jul 2019 10:01:00
Lambert half volley in 2- 0 win at Celtic park.
Larsson when his chip klos in the
6 - 2 win at Celtic park. Both super goals.

8.) 03 Jul 2019 10:02:29
the last one Celtic scored.

9.) 03 Jul 2019 10:03:35
Larsson's chip.

10.) 03 Jul 2019 10:04:26
Has to be Larsson, v the mob. Nutmeg Konterman then lobs Klos.

11.) 03 Jul 2019 10:47:15
THAT. IS. SENSATIONAL.

12.) 03 Jul 2019 11:20:36
Couple of the mcstay ones are belters tae
Then you've got wee jimmy smash one in to top bag in the lashing rain and mud.
Don't think I could really pick the best now I have thought about it.

13.) 03 Jul 2019 11:30:31
Best goal against sevco.

14.) 03 Jul 2019 11:29:57
Andy Thom at Ibrox?

15.) 03 Jul 2019 11:56:57
So many to choose from Naka, Lambert, Sutton but one of my Favourites is Wee Shaun from about 35 yards and for pure emotion you have the JVOH last minute winner to get us back in the league race.

16.) 03 Jul 2019 12:09:42
Thom at ibrox for me.

17.) 03 Jul 2019 12:30:40
Venegoor of Hesselainks header in the 94th minute backward of its significance.

18.) 03 Jul 2019 14:04:49
Dembele penalty chip down the middle.

19.) 03 Jul 2019 16:08:08
Hooper v Weir, left him for dead, side-footed into the pokey!

22 May 2019 08:03:59
Great to see young Dembele in action. Was only able to see YouTube highlights. But when the hearts player tackled him and he went down and just got straight back up and ran with the ball towards goal I was off my seat. Glad to see Lennon gave him the time, looked like he was loving it. Hail Hail.

Well done to all the lurkers, of which they are staunchly officially none lol. Reminds me of another time when I was a Celtic supporter lots of wins but no trophies 😉. I'll take cups and Champions league all day. Will give credit to Taverniers goal, Green specs off it was not bad. OK, cup final again to look forward to again😁.

1.) 13 May 2019 09:07:35
I said the same thing to my laddie yesterday. On most occasions during their 9 in a row my memory is generally being able to raise our game against them and on many occasions ran over the top of them when it didn’t matter. I remember celebrating like the Govan hoards yesterday. Then waking up on the Monday morning only to realise in the final analysis we’d won nothing and nobody cared. And that’s where our friends across the city are this morning despite yesterday’s (SKY QUOTE) ‘massive result’ for Slipping Stephen. Three competitions won none 6 points behind in the league and second place while Celtic are champions again as we know. That being said it’s a massive wake up call and to use the word we often use for them we’re deluded if we don’t think the gap has narrowed. The other thing we learned yesterday and I’m a massive fan of his is that Lennon isn’t the man to move us forward or to make another statement of intent as we did when we appointed Rodgers after our cup defeat to them. As Ed said yesterday on live chat ‘Over to you Mr. Desmond’.

2.) 13 May 2019 10:56:40
We used to always beat them after they had won the league but no disguising we have regressed dramatically major investment needed.

3.) 13 May 2019 11:42:24
JFP, of course the gap has narrowed, of course Slippy G has improved them but let's be brutally honest they couldn't have got any worse, they were rock bottom, it's now up to us to keep the gap comfortable as it is at the moment.

4.) 13 May 2019 12:20:04
Stevie agreed they’ve got better although starting from ground zero but we’ve also got worse which has narrowed the gap further. Dembele for starters was never replaced nor was Armstrong off the top of my head. But we’re agreed the balls now firmly in Celtic’s court to invest and re-establish the differential.

09 Mar 2019 17:49:39
What is it with Hibs fans now. It's getting out of hand. No player should be attacked irrespective of leanings. Sinclair then Tavernier (admittedly more serious) . What's happening to football?

Bribhoy

1.) 09 Mar 2019 18:09:52
Always amazing to me I’d situations like these are taken so seriously now but when Lennon was physicaly attacked on the pitch five years ago by a baby want to be person and griffiths booked for picking up a bottle thrown at him while taking a corner against linfield was treated as football banter 🥴. I assume you protested then?

2.) 09 Mar 2019 18:11:38
Not an excuse for the idiot . but he never actually attacked tavernier he tried to kick the ball away. why? probably steaming. but his actions did nearly caused a physical confrontation. what's happened in the last few weeks has been unsavoury. but it isn't a reflection of the supporters here. scottish football is as safe and as sanitised as I can remember .

3.) 09 Mar 2019 18:48:08
Yes I protested then. Your point?

4.) 10 Mar 2019 11:30:37
My point is that it’s so horrific now but wasn’t then 🤷🏻‍♂️.

I'd take Matthews over nothing just now. Hopefully there is a plan behind the scenes. I remember January transfer window being bemused but we still got another treble.

Wouldn't be the worst thing. Two people that know Scottish football and the importance of winning the league, not coming second. I think we should give gers the 3 euro asking price for morelos as well🤣🤣.

It's a hard blow to take but it's done now. I'm still mystified about Calmac at lb. I'm no football tactical genius but what was our actual game plan. Couldn't watch it because I was at work. Were we unlucky or just out muscled?

He's a talent that wants to test himself at a higher level and make enough to set him up for life. Maybe he's aware with his injuries that his career might not be so lengthy. And he made us 25mill into the bargain. I have no doubt about his love for the club. We are all slaves to the wage at the end of the day. Wish him all the best. It might just be the catalyst for better things.

I pay the annual subscription for Celtic TV because I wanted to watch the games. I know use a streaming site because its easier. I still have my Celtic TV subscription because I can't attend games and want to the club to have revenue. Still can do both.
