Just read that Dembele may be asked by England to represent them in 2017 after spending 5 years in the UK. Would he also be eligible for Scotland at that time does anyone know?

1.) 03 Oct 2016 22:14:30
He'd be mad to consider either.

2.) 04 Oct 2016 14:53:53
Said he's committed to France.

3.) 04 Oct 2016 20:24:23
i hate all this Rafael.

the engrlish did it with januzai when he scored a goal or two, they were peeing their pants, talking to experts blah blah blah - now the kid cannae get a game for sunderland.

these stories are just utter pee pee

lets not put that kind of pressure on his shoulders.

4.) 06 Oct 2016 23:03:16
Scored a beautiful for France (u21) tonight.

5.) 10 Oct 2016 00:50:38
I disagree as well. It was a terrible finnish. Holding off a defender, while falling, timing the strike with the looping ball lay off and hitting a volley into the top corner from an angle that didn't seem possible. I'd let him run down his contract in the reserves he is poison.

I'd be happy with the signing of Eboue, as everything said about him sounds really positive.
On a different note, I am sick to death of this clown in charge of sevco - how in the name of God is he claiming that twat of a centre half did not throw a punch? Does my bloody head in, and I hope they throw the book at both of them.
Thank God I was born on the right side.

1.) 04 Jan 2017 21:16:36
To be fair, it does look more like a push if you watch it with wearing a magic hat.

31 Dec 2016 14:22:49
Brilliant win, great second half performance and considering the ref and linesmen didn't even try to hide their bias, I am absolutely over the moon. My MOM was Armstrong - yet again, I thought he was superb, but there quite a few candidates! So pleased to beat those animals and I include the officials in that because they were a disgrace.

1.) 31 Dec 2016 14:28:33
I agree with everything regarding the performances etc mate but I thought the ref and officials had a good day out for a change. I'm not sure what decisions worth talking about they got wrong?

2.) 31 Dec 2016 14:35:39
Two dreadful offside decisions in quick succession, a throw-in given to the animals when it travelled about 50 yards without going near a Celtic player and I thought a lot of fouls given their way that were nowhere near it.
Anyway, although I am, it's not a day for moaning! Happy New Year mate!

3.) 31 Dec 2016 14:37:59
Thought the ref was not to bad.
Couple of turn the blind eye moments but never really got to involved.

4.) 31 Dec 2016 14:38:17
Eh we were twice thru on goal and were waved offside when both were clearly on.

5.) 31 Dec 2016 14:39:16
Like big jock used to instil - As long as our players do their jobs and play to their potential the result usually takes care of itself. Granted we started slowly and got caught cold with a few players showing nerves and hesitation; but once we regained our composure and asserted our class - there was only one winner. Gordon made some good saves, but we missed a hatful of chances to underline our superiority.

6.) 31 Dec 2016 16:02:31
The officials were horrendous today. So inconsistent. Hill pulls a jersey, no booking, Celtic player does the same and booked. I only ask that it is the same rule for all players. Numerous offsides that were never off. McKay should have had swimming trunks on the number of times he dived. Handball against Moussa that was rattled against him from a yard? Stramash in the penalty box that he blew for a foul against us?

Playing against 14 today.

7.) 31 Dec 2016 16:25:38
How was the ref bad? The. 2 offsides were so close he had to listen to his linesman who were wrong but we could only tell on slow motion on tv. One wrong decision on a throw in hardly makes him a fully paid up member of the Masonic lodge! Some people need to get the huge chip off their shoulders and move on!

8.) 31 Dec 2016 15:54:59
Strong performance today, specially 2nd half, thought we started slow, sloppy goal to concede, but we came into things a lot more after broony's tackle n took the game by the scruff of the neck. Thought Roberts was brilliant when he came on, broonys great, areas Emilio a great game defensively n offensively.

Dembele was probably my man of the match for not only the goal but all round game, his price just keeps rising. Armstrong is really making that role in beside broony his own, box to box midfielder in the mould of petrov, he will just get better.
Special mention for callum McGregor, he can take a hard time on here n in the stands n I thought he was great today, kept it really well, great passing n movement n did good work defensively n offensively.

Good to put this new team sevco in their place, that'll be 2nd best to the Celtic, just like their old deceased team, mind the gap now sevconians.
Hail hail.

23 Nov 2016 21:32:07
I used to have so much respect for Barcelona. After watching tonight's game and seeing the antics of Suarez, that scumbag Neymar and even Messi resorting to waving for a booking, it's gone. The referee was an absolute disgrace as well - he have every single 50/ 50 to Barcelona and his booking of Lustig after the aforementioned ****er Neymar assaulted Lustig just sums up the bam's performance. Bloody disgusting.

1.) 23 Nov 2016 22:06:13
Quite agree Andy. Naymars a disgrace. Ref bottled it big style. Any respect I had for Barcelona disappeared tonight.

2.) 23 Nov 2016 22:09:44
I disagree Andy thought the ref was good and only mistake I noticed was the Lustig yellow card when that wee rat Neymar was the one causing it! Considering our group and the fact this is Rodgers first season in charge I think we have set a nice platform to build on and 3/ 4 new signings in the next 2 windows should see us with a very capable Champions league quality team.

3.) 23 Nov 2016 22:21:30
I think the whole point with the antics of Barcelona tonight is that unlike the Nou Camp they knew they were in a game tonight. I see their behaviour as a back handed compliment.

4.) 23 Nov 2016 22:52:24
personally, I thought the ref had a good game and the booking for retaliation was stupid.
Barcelona started to resort to petty fouls etc just to slow us down as they could see the bite in our team (no offence suarez)

5.) 24 Nov 2016 08:26:27
Ref gene them every 50 5o going and couldn't point to the pen spot quick enough HD had a stinker.

30 Oct 2016 12:09:55
Reading what Rodgers has said about Commons - and how he has implied that he has no future - I really feel he is treating someone who has been a great player for and servant to the club in a terrible way. He says about his fitness but I take issue with this: Rogic, much as I like him, is virtually guaranteed not to finish the game and has very little pace. So why could Commons not perform a similar role, be it from the start or the bench? I think we are missing a trick by not even giving the guy a chance.

1.) 30 Oct 2016 12:23:16
What would commons added this season like
Top of the league unbeaten
League done before November
Champions league qualified
First cup final reached
As long as this continues then he manager is right.
Now every manager has his own ideas and ants his own players
How can anyone say commons has been treated bad either
From what I have read the manager has been truthful with commons and ever other player he isn't see in his plans.
How is that treating him bad?

2.) 30 Oct 2016 12:59:32
As far as I know Rogic hasbeen a model professional . Commons has been a disrespective influence and should have been shown the door a year ago. You won't build a team with a self centred thug in it.

3.) 30 Oct 2016 13:04:22
We'd be better of without him.

4.) 30 Oct 2016 13:04:22
What could Commons add? Well he is the only true replacement like for like for Rogic, who we all know can't last 90.
I seem to remember Commons getting pelters on here over his fitness, Rogic doesn't get it. Also Commons lasted 90 mins, we are just seeing the benefit of having Izzy due to KTs injury.
What do we do if Rogic is injured.

5.) 30 Oct 2016 13:48:31
Can someone tell me what is it commons has actually done? I read mention of him being disruptive etc but I've never heard this?

6.) 30 Oct 2016 14:09:43
Old Bhoy you really take the biscuit, explain to me why commons is a THUG, you came on here and slated some one for saying Gamboa was'nt very good and no one should slate our players, then YOU call one of them a thug, unbelievable.

7.) 30 Oct 2016 14:24:16
I think we will try and offload Commons in January if anyone is interested.

Rodgers has already stated that he won't play him, so it makes sense to sell and free up a decent wage and reduce the size of our squad.

{Ed007's Note - With only 6 months left on his deal come January just pay him up and free him never mind trying to get any money for him.}

8.) 30 Oct 2016 14:50:33
You know what Lawwell is like, would not surprise me if he gets 500K for him in January lol.

9.) 30 Oct 2016 20:13:16
Who in the team would he replace?

10.) 30 Oct 2016 20:37:08
If he were to come he would be competing with Tierney for LB slot.

11.) 31 Oct 2016 01:51:24
Commons public reaction to been substituted towards the end of an European game last season was that of a low life thug . I can understand a player been disappointed at been substituted but it is accepted in the game that a player can only show so much in public . Any normal person, who was near the prolonged incident, in the stand or watching on tv would have no doubt Commons rage was excessive and I have no doubt went a long way towards R D loosing " the dressing room " .
I am of an age that the manager or boss is always right, and because he/ she holds that position the least a player or employee can do is show his dissent in private .
I am surprise that the Board let him get away with it because what he did was not only disrespectful to R D but also to the whole club fans and all.

12.) 31 Oct 2016 06:01:28
Commons has scored just shy of 100 goals for the club, been player of the year in Scotland and has proved his worth time and again. He is one of our most creative players and yet has not even been named as a sub either in cup games or when wholesale changes were made in the league. I think not even giving him a chance is treating him very badly after all he has done. Some people have very short memories. To mention the successes so far this season and ask what could have been better would imply you are happy to rest on your laurels - would you be content if de vries was still in goal and we continuing to ship goals but winning or would you highlight where you believe there could be improvements? And for calling him a thug, you either show a total lack of understanding of the word or have an underlying bias that you are unable to overlook.

13.) 31 Oct 2016 07:29:50
Hows he been treated badly?
hes still getting a wage and I could almost guarantee he was told by BR his position at the club ages ago.

I'm always greatful for his service and the goals he's left some good memories but KC has no place in our team. None of the midfield or forward players deserve to be dropped in place of him and could anyone honestly say they miss him in the team.

14.) 31 Oct 2016 11:33:09
By not being given a chance!

15.) 31 Oct 2016 13:49:38
Not been given a chance?
Jesus the previous 2 managers had issues with KC and he still got game time I'm not sure many others would have got the same chances.
He also trains with the first team that's his chance to show what he can do.

He doesn't fit into system it's as simple as that.
There isn't a single player in that team that deserves to be dropped in place of KC I think the majority of us would agree that.

16.) 31 Oct 2016 17:16:53
He has been a problem where ever he has played . He wants to put an "I" into team and Brendan Rodgers knows only too well, to keep him at a distance or he would be trying to put B R out of a job too.

17.) 31 Oct 2016 21:59:01
Jesus - so when has Rodgers given him a chance in the team? And in what way is Rogic - who, before I am accused of anything, really like as a player but can't finish a game - more mobile, fitter or even more of a goal threat than Commons? Sure, start with Rogic, but rather than bringing on someone like Bitton, why not go for a similar style of player: someone attaching, creative and likely to score or have a major hand in a goal, LIKE COMMONS? I think naming 24 instead of 25 in the European squad and leaving him out was snub that he is totally undeserving of.

18.) 01 Nov 2016 00:29:41
You are talking out your arse as usual old bhoy the guy has been fantastic for Celtic.

27 Oct 2016 07:05:05
I don't for the life of me understand the criticism of Gordon - especially tonight. He came out for the ball - and would have been vilified if he hadn't - mistimed the challenge, but pulled out of it: I don't get the comments saying this was dangerous or even how it could be claimed, as Sutton did, that he connected with the players neck! But asides from that, what about the saves he made? Don't they count or is it just a case of having to find fault wherever possible? And for the comment about him being defended because he is Scots, what utter rubbish.

1.) 27 Oct 2016 07:32:06
Thought Gourdon had a good game incident where he came off his line is no more than a yellow he hardly touched Boyce even Stewart and Craigan thought that, love Sutton but think he was trying too hard to sound balanced and unbiased.

2.) 27 Oct 2016 07:46:35
On the most part I rate Gordon as a shot stopper and if he stuck to that he would be fine. Unfortunately, for him he does not dominate the goal area and often mistimes his runs. When he comes out the box, it reminds me of Alan Rough and I cringe.

3.) 27 Oct 2016 08:48:33
How often has CG found himself in that position though! It was only a yellow, and I can only hope that when he makes these challenges that he KNOWS he's only going to get a yellow.

4.) 27 Oct 2016 08:57:53
Gordon had a good game but there was no real need to do what he done.
The guy wasn't baring down on goal he was heading wide.
The defenders were recovering.
Even if he was going to close down why jump up now the air?
Should stay on feet and guide the guy even wider.
But I do think that was a small mistake in a good game where he made good saves.

5.) 27 Oct 2016 10:29:48
Gordon made very good saves at 1-0 or it might have been a different game as we dominated but failed to capitalize for a long time.
These rushes of blood are far too frequent however, for a very experienced keeper and if he had been sent off, it would definitely have been a different game with all three subs already used.
I agree with Rab; there are shades of Alan Rough with a mixture of ridiculous and sublime although he is the best we have at present?

6.) 27 Oct 2016 17:03:58
Gordon was good last night, he got plenty of opportunities of making good saves at shots he should save and he did very well at that .
His judgement of leaving the penalty is still questionable and he made a hash of it last night . The ref could have given any colour of card and I think he got it right, but Gordon must watch this trespassing out of area . Rightly or wrongly he will get a red card sooner or later if he continues.

I totally agree - even if they offered £60 million, if still say no - he can help get to the champions league again, and hopefully, make an impact in the group stages, which will more than compensate financially and in the meantime, his value will only continue to saw.
I was only pointing out that their comparative values of Defoe against Dembele were nothing more than insulting.

West Ham have apparently upped their offer for Jermaine Defoe to £13 million. Defoe is 34. If they are willing to pay that for someone who probably last no longer than this season and next for them, they can treble their offer for Moussa!

I read that Rodgers will have £6 million to spend, but will he not also get the sell on fee from any sale of van Dykk? If so, I really agree and hope he does make Roberts a permanent signing.
