Neil Lennon is continuously upsetting someone in parkhead about his "dream" of managing down south, apparently Mr Desmond is close to David Moyes and has sounded him out as his replacement, deal must be done soon to fend of other interested parties.

Thought I would wait a few days to express my feelings about the current state of affairs still gutted from missing out on champions league but have to say there are major causes for concern surrounding the club in my opinion.

Fair enough managers need time to get there ideas across and bedded in but the performances with the exception on untied game have been alarmingly poor with players playing way below there own standards. It does not bother me he is not a household name when he came in but for the board to say he is a promising prospect and then not back him only for low risk loan deals is hypocritical and patronising to say the least.
I think the fans are due an explanation as to what is going on as they are showing very little ambition (if any at all) or respect to the paying support at the moment.

I would like to see what other peoples views are regarding Neil Lennons managerial carreer. Not going to lie I like the man and think his win ratio speaks for its self. but in my opinion he was a real hit or miss in the transfer market, he made us a small fortune on some players granted but he more than ruined that with some really terrible signings all of which he had the final say on given they were all found by our scouting network. Out of the 41 signings he made including load deals I would say 12 could be considered as a success, the clear waste of money on several players ( a lot of which are still on the pay roll) surely cannot be ignored!

Anyways rant over all this is just an opinion at the end of the day, hope thing get better in the near future
Kind regards

Everyone has different opinions but I never rated lennon as a manager I said it many times when he was in charge. So many times he stuck with favoured players even when clearly out of form. He rarely ever had any youth given a chance. As u said apart from a small group of players he signed were a success the majority were duds. He was tactically naive in big games. His domestic cup record was nothin short of atrocious but cause he won 3 in a row even though 2 were with no coompetition some people don't see the faults and rd needs the time to see how he does

2.) NL had mixed success and should have definitely won more domestic cups, but gave us some great memories before he lost momentum.
He had highs and lows but seemed to think he was a better manager than he was, stubborn in team choices and tactically naive in big games.
The thing that I will never forget, is he had to do the job under the most vile and stressful circumstances, death threats, assaults, postal bombs (ffs) and an ultra hostile media.

3.) Gunnie I agree Lennon had his faults but for Ronny to bring on Derk when we need a goal worries me. Sure he needs time to settle and get his players in but the Jury is out at the moment. I look forward to seeing no reletment in the defeating of Scottish Teams that are unlucky to draw us and I look forward to a good run in the Europa Lge. Hail Hail

4.) Achillies . I wonder is 12 successes out of 41 when shopping at the bottom end of the transfer market above or below average. All managers make very poor purchases even at the top end of the market . However buying players from all over the world who are young and inexperienced makes it more difficult .

Honestly worry about some peoples sanity on here with some of the names they put forward for the celtic managers job.
Surely the only logical candidate is David Moyes! Until he rejects or otherwise,
Do they even take there football seriously? I don't care what anyone says Rangers will be up next year and will be challenging again in 2. So while everyone is playing "hows your favourite ex player for manager" carry on I think we should be looking at proven managers low risk to come in and build a team to win us 10 in a row!

Achillies1888

1.) Well just chill. Moyes will be manager by thursday according to you anyway.

I've had a gut feeling it will be Moyes since his sacking from MU. But all it is is a gut feeling.

He's a laughing stock atm, but that doesn't bother me. You don't get voted manager of the year the amount he has by being a fool. Will certainly bring stability given time.

Think the coaches he decides to bring in/keep are just as important as the man himself.

2.) 27 May 2014 10:16:57
And why is David moyes low risk noone is saying they know best we all just have our own opinion on the situation as you do yourself

3.) Exactly mate, - the only criteria is quality. All this complete nonsense about Larsson/McNamara etc, Hartley has done a far better job than both, but it doesn't mean he's even close to being ready either. If you were judging it on playing ability Murdoch/Jinky/McStay etc etc etc would have been managers long ago. It really makes my blood boil. I would like a top foreign coach with new ideas/more dynamic passing game, I mentioned previously about the German coach Thomas Tuchel being my choice. But I hadn't realized Yakin had left Basle - what a job he did with them(domestically and Europe) closer to home I would be very happy with Moyes, Stevie Clarke, or what about Paul Clement?

4.) No pal he's not the only logical choice! Moyes is a good manager but he's never taking a Job ugh us for starters because of the lack of transfer funds!
Why don't we just get sir Alex out of retirement? There's a few ex players that are bad choices but not all! And rangers will be challenging in two years?! Your funny, are u also a ridiculous flapper in your work as u are in life?

5.) Rangers will not be back in any year mate. they are DEAD remember.

Posted Lennon was upsetting people at the club on 13th may and that David Moyes had been approached off the record about the possibility. His answer was yes and this will be a reality by next Thursday, same sourse has fabergasheading home to arsenal this summer

Posted about this the other day and personally I feel that Neil is desperate to leave, very time he is asked he contributes to the speculation by this "I'm flaterd but not heard anything" rubbish! The club and its supporters deserve better respect than what he is showing at the moment
