NL says LG is now in the best shape he has seen him in 18 months. Surely if he has got into that shape in 3 weeks then he can't have been in all that bad condition to start with? Confusing.

Maybe there was more to the disciplinary measures than fitness/ weight and LG needed a wee reminder who the boss is?

Lennon not coming out of this well. Hopefully it was a wee psychological game to get the best out of LG.

{Ed007's Note - A few of the senior players feel NL handled it badly and that it should have been kept in-house. It was definitely blown out of proportion by a lot of people.}

He was out of shape, if a footballer can't get back in shape in 3 weeks he wouldn't be trying very hard, its not like he had a beer belly goin.

maybe Lennon shouldn't have came out and said what he said about griff.

but going on how he looked today, he hasn't let it affect his performance, thought he was absolutely outstanding even though was only about 35mins.

gutted polish paddy stole his great individually worked goal (wee man would have been fuming) lol.

klimala is starting to look like a player now, think the lockdown has done him the world of good.

Surely Lennon’s responsibility is to all he can to get the best out of his players . Overall he can’t be accused of being over hard on L G as he backed and encouraged him throughout last season . On first sight the different approach this season seems to have worked . I would fear for Leigh’s long term future, he seems to need to be playing consistently to maintain the correct mental commitment and physical fitness .
Over the last few years we always waited for him to return to his peak, mainly because we really had no one else, now it looks like we have alternatives and will move on without him.
