With last night's monstrosity still ringing over the fans heads, I as much as everyone else 100 percent blame Lennons selection and tactics for the defensive calamity on show.

Do you blame Lennon for brown handling ball or bain not holding the ball? Team selection was wrong but it was those 2 errors more than tactics that put us out.

But why did he play CalMac at left back?, and why did Brendan play him at left back at Ibrox, I think the reason is, they both wanted him in the team because he is one of our best players, but they also wanted Scott Brown in midfield, because of some misplaced sense of loyalty to our long serving captain, the problem isn't Neil Lennon in losing the Cluj game or Brendan in losing at Ibrox, the problem is Scott Brown, Neil Lennon has to get a grip, and start playing our best most attacking midfield, and it will have no place for Scot Brown.

Totally agree.
Brown is great to have in the squad no doubt about it, however this is the time to blood in the team for the future.
What kind of confidence has been handed to Boli and Julien?
I'm not going to carry on moaning about what has happened qualifying is never a guarantee, and getting smashed in the CL isn't fun to watch.
Europa League is our level and we have to accept that.
Let's get a young hungry team picked and let's get cracking, another LB in and that will do me, enough cover everywhere else taking the young lads who need games into consideration, and try Bitton in the holding role he may prove a good replacement for Brown.

Aindoh I 100% blame Lennon for last night poor team selection and poor game management individual errors on the park will always cost and brown and bain have to take responsibility for their parts but at 2-1 we have £10m worth of defenders sitting on the bench instead of replacing Johnston and brown to see the game out.

There were only 3 players who were defensive minded in that line up. I don't know what Lennon was thinking. He was looking at blowing Cluj away just never happened.


I honestly think a lot of our players are believing their own hype Petrescu gave it they don't know how to lose. Barcelona this and DNA that rubbish that side would have been slaughtered if we qualified.

Wee red was out foxed The eyes were way off the ball ill prepared in my opinion. As much as I love Lenny he has to do a job for the team not Lawwell that means play your best players not force them out if they don't want to go pay them up tough that's the way it goes. Sinclair Lustig and Tierney were missed they are messing Sinclair around that's why Lustic left as he seen it coming why take the option and not play him. Wage would have been free to use on a top player. I think there's a bit of grumbling going on and the twitter faux pas not having that.

Jaw1888,but my point is Brendan did the same thing, Brendan is hailed as a great coach and tactician and manager, all the things that the anti Lennon people accuse Lennon of not being, the problem is blatantly obvious, it is this insane loyalty to Scott Brown.

Unfortunately there comes a time when players are not what they once were and Scott Brown is there. He is still an important member of the squad but when we are involved in high tempo games he has little or no influence on the game. It's simple down to age and the legs slowing down. Lennon needs to realise this and understand he can't play week in week out. Both last year in Europe and in the two away old firm games he simple couldn't get a kick of the ball due to this fact. It fine playing your Dundee and st Johnstone etc when it's at a snail pace which brown will control all day but once the tempo goes up then he is in trouble. Look at the way we played when brown was out and Calmac went to that position. Him Christie and rogic the pace of the game was super and we destroyed teams because they couldn't live with it. That pace is not possible with brown in the team. Again not for one second am l saying get rid of him but the manager needs to be smart in the way he uses him and what games. To play our best ball playing midfield at LB to accommodate both nitcham and brown was madness. For me Calmac is first choice every day of the week and chose one from the other two. Just being captain should not ensure u should start.

Aindoh McGregor is only one of our best players if he I'd played in his natural position.

Lennon made a total count of it and if you can't see that then I have no idea what you were watching.

He made about 5-7 serious mistakes.

Yes but why did they play him at left back, it's because Scott Brown is undroppable, if McGregor had played instead of Brown in midfield, anybody could have played at left back, because Cluj would have been to busy trying to defend and cope with Celtics attack to bother about attacking themselves.

No Rodgers played him at left back because KT wasn't fit and there was no left other left back.
Lennon sat a 3 million pound left back on the bench and played him there.
One that's played most the games this season.
If it was done because of an emergency then we wouldn't be going daft at him.

Lennon shouldn't have gotten the job very poor manager. We went from 1 of the best in Britain to a manager that had Hibs sitting 8th. No tactical awareness. Poor poor manager I would sack him immediately if it was my decision. We won't win the league under him.
