If we got meling and gumny over the line i would be delighted. and this would be one of our better windows and would allow elhamed to cover both positions 2 class fbs and good cover at cb . we'd take some stopping as we're strong in the forward areas although maybe a physical midfielder would be handy.

Bain has definitely lost the form he showed when he first took over the jersey, but to be fair he has not had a settled defense in front of him for quite a while now. Gordon should have retired by now IMO.
There will be games like tonight where we really need to keep clean sheets and at present I worry that we can't do that; but fortunately our outfield players are on their game and scoring goals.
Also, it's maybe late in the day to (find and) change our 'keeper on top of all the other defensive personnel arrivals during such a hectic run of important games?

I don't think the settled defense argument is valid he's just not good enough to be our no1 he looked decent when he came in but he has let a couple in when they looked like easy saves and isn't commanding enough for me.

neither Bain or Gordon are the answer, Bain is a good No:2 and as OAB mentioned Gordon should have retired, A new GK should have been a top priority along woth a new RB and LB this summer.
