Re- KT:
Lets just say he leaves for Arsenal, he is only 22.
If he signs a 4 or 5 year deal he could come back to Celtic in his prime.
Who out there would accept that?

Are you serious, you think he’s in a rush to leave when we are on the brink of history for money . Only to run down his contract when history has been made or missed then come back in his prime for nothing . On top of this do you think arsenal will just let him run down his contract for nothing? If he decides to come back it would be a swan song in his thirties, I’d hope by then we would have a “new kt” to idolise and he could do one with regards to coming back to see his career out at his idols . Surely if he goes his fan worship will be over, we support Celtic not Kieran .

That's his plan it doesn't always work out that way tho but that's the long term plan.

As soon as they reach the Murdoch Footballing League they’re really well out of our wage structure. John McGinn maybe in 6 years if he wants to pull on the hoops.

Well if he goes I hope he wins everything that there is to win in world football.
I also don't think it's about money either Quinn.

Quinn, what exactly are Arsenal going to do to stop him seeing out his contract and leaving for nothing?

Dembele is an example of that stage now, offers now top millions from the EPL, in a word no chance., maybe when he’s in his late 30s.

If / when tierney goes the next time he’ll be back playing in the hoops is when his career is near the end. We couldn’t afford a fee to bring him back and certainly couldn’t afford his wages. Good luck to the lad if he does go but why should celtic welcome him back? Just because he’s one of us? Too many in the past want that last swan song, come to us from down south when their career is nearing the end and most times it’s a waste of a time move.

@garry well said mate. for a celtic diehard to not want to be part of a 9iar season and sees playing down south with arsenal more better than helping us win 9iar and possibly 10 is baffling. and before anybody starts saying its a better league. wee as celtic fans should know what its like to support celtic the passion we are a club like no other. what achieving 10 means to us all its a dream wee all have and he has a chance to be in the squad that actual wins it and he would rather go to arsenal. my view on Tierney has changed big time and I am not one bit fussed now if he goes just disappointed with the lad really thought his heart was in 10iar with us. but as soon as hese good enough for down south hese wanting out yeah hese not forcing it but hese asking for the move.

I know we are in the minority on this site United Ireland but I agree with you.

If KT wants to go in our 9 in a row season with the potential for a historic 10 punt him. It would be understandable both from a football and financial perspective but it would also place him in the same bracket as Rodgers in that it would make the ‘Celtic Man’ rhetoric to date laughable. No ‘Celtic Man’ would go at 22 years of age with history in the making.
