At £25mill for KT you are stealing him. Crazy to sell for that price.

End of the day he plays is Scotland and that is always going to have an effect on prices.
Add to that he hasn't been fully fit for over a year and won't be for months.
If he had no injury worries I have no doubt that more teams would have been in for him and the price would have been higher but as is it's a good price for him.

I mean £80+ million for Harry Maguire - what price for Ajer right now compared to that lump of wood? Even with one leg I'd still strip him for pace.}

100% agree there Ed. The fees branded about these days are ridiculous and this “ he plays in Scotland nonsense “ that shouldn’t matter. Celtic have a record over the years of guys who have played in Scotland and gone on to prove they can hold their own down south, none more so than big VVD. Arsenal potentially could sign him for £25 million this season and all ot takes is 1 good season and he’s worth an absolute fortune. Why should we automatically be pressured into selling the biggest potential to come out of Scotland for anything less than top whack. just because he plays in Scotland we must accept £25 million? Nonsense, for me and I stand by it, tierney should go for no less than £30 million with add ons, if arsenal or any other club don’t fancy that then jog on. KT is on a long term deal, got youth on his side and is Celtic daft so won’t throw the dummy out the prom if this deal didn’t happen. The boy will move on and go right to the top but it has to be good for the club.

Then I think we should put a 20% sell on clause because he easy has the potential to be worth a lot more in the English market especially a fit Tierney, we don’t want ripped of again with what happened with VVD we could of had a lot more in the bank if it wasn’t for the premier league teams stealing our players for peanuts. They underestimate the Scottish league when their premier league winners couldn’t beat Celtic home and away.

I can't work out how people don't realise that playing at a higher level week in week out is going to add value to a player.

People rattle on about VVD but all fail to mention we got him for under 3 million.

If Celtic get 25 million for KT and can have good add on attached that would be good busy. No one in the SPFL is going to go for over that fee. As has been said look at dembele and VVD. In VVD case no big sides had any interest in him while he played in Scotland. One season with Southampton and they were mad for him and his price when through the roof. KT will be the exact same if he goes to arsenal.

I hope his career goes from strength to strength in the pub league. A humble hard working lad who is living the dream. With the KT money and Ntchams transfer fee Lawell's head will be spinning £££££'$. His Heid will implode if we make the Champions League. We can rebuild a squad that had been running on fumes. With KT going we will need another LB along with 2 RB's and another Centre Half. A box to box midfielder. Another 2 midfielders with Ntcham going and mabe Rogics. I hope we can hold onto Calmag as I expect Rodgers to offer more crazy money.

All the guys I work with all support Leicester and they've all slated Maguires pace. It's ridiculous how now he's been bandied about for a fee in excess of what VVD cost Liverpool! He couldn't lace his boots. So we shouldn't be accepting anything less than what we feel KT's worth.

Lawwell needs to think more about what Tierney could move on for in the future he should insist on 20% of any future transfer fee (not profit) .

Exactly Bravetart86, they think they can put buttons on our players at Celtic even tho their premier league winners couldn’t win 2 games over us With the amount of cash they have spent compared to us. But their lower 10 team who haven’t probably played in Europe can put 30 to 80 mill price tags on their players.

Btw I do not want Tierney to leave at all! Would love him for another couple years aslong as he wants to stay and if he wishes to go fair play he deserves it.
