Ntcham is not as good as he thinks he is, last year he was mostly anonymous so good riddance. My reading of the KT situation is he feels that he loves the club more than they love him, I. e. CalMac isn't for sale but KT has his price. For that reason I think he will rightly leave. If club said hands off, he is going nowhere he might be here for 10. Love him to stay but can't see it now.

{Ed007's Note - Let's not blur the lines, it was KT that made it known to the Club after the Scottish Cup Final that if an acceptable offer was made during this window he would be interested in moving on, remember his agent has held talks with Lyon, Arsenal and has supposedly spoken to someone representing Napoli
There's no conspiracy and nobody's forcing anyone to do anything and disappointingly for some there's nobody to blame - KT simply thinks his career will progress better playing elsewhere and the Club have accepted that so IF (note the capitals) a club matches their valuation and KT agrees he will move on, I don't see him leaving for any old EPL club fighting relegation just because they'll pay him £60/70k a week and I'd be surprised if Leicester were appealing.
Btw, contrary to reports elsewhere KT has not recently changed his agent to the same as Rodgers, he joined Stellar Management sometime before Nov 2017 and they negotiated his last contract renewal then - and don't get me started on buy-out & release clauses.}

2 years ago tierney and robertson were at a similar level quality, progression, performance and profile wise, however liverpool have been excellent as has robertson and now robertson is seen as a level above tierney.

this is the reason he will want the move, tierney has all the qualities to match what robertson and achieve similar in similar environment however injuries and staying at celtic will not get him to that stage so he is quite right to want to move to the EPL if he has asperations of being one of the best full backs in the world which at this time robertson clearly is.

{Ed007's Note - As I said the other day on a thread before the morons killed it, how high will KT's star be in 2 years time? Will staying in Scotland winning 10 in a row attract a Barca or Chelsea or will it be a Southampton, Bournemouth or some other diddy Pub League team where he would need to waste another 2 years like VVD or Wanyama before a big club - and Arsenal are a big club - come calling again.}

All I can say is good luck to him. He has been a great player for us and if he has decided now is the time to move on, I wish him all the best.

I hope he progresses to the best of his ability and comes back to Celtic when he 28!
Joking aside look at how Robertson has progressed over the last couple of years, KT (if he goes) will go with my blessing. His love for the club is not in question.

Ed007, how are you? . Noticed you have not been on for a while. I'm only on here for your transfer put downs and occasionally baiting the opposition lol. Hope you're well. A lot of people here in Oz grateful for your hesgoals info you gave me for watching the football. Get back to your usual acerbic self😁.

{Ed007's Note - I'm good thanks, Bri 👍

Can't begrudge the boy a move he has achieved everything he can here. Elsewhere it isn't seen as much of an achievement so he'll want to test himself in a tougher league and prove that he's a player. Everyone has their cycle at a club. It just so happens his is now, at a time where we would do with the cash towards a major rebuild after poor past windows and a lot of players out of contract ect. It's a win win really for both player and club.

Hope you didn't mean me killing the thread Ed. I came on a wee while after to see if you or anyone had added anything after me and saw it had gone.

{Ed007's Note - It was nothing to do with you mate.}

I would agree KT needs to move to a level within his grasp. What think would help him get the club he deserves, is if our defence improves even more, then we might not come back from CL games holding our arse. If we do better, he looks better, he gets a better team than feckin. And we get much more money and he’s a legend who stayed for 19iar. I can dream. :)
