For almost all of the period since NL took over, we were without KT due to injury - and aggravated injury which required probable surgery.
The concern was how serious it was and how long he would be out for.
Suddenly, there is absolutely no news on the injury/ operation, but the speculation on his leaving has went into overdrive.
Was there really an injury crisis, or was the management appointment a factor in what's going on?

I think Ed007 made a comment a while back about possible unhappiness among a few of the players when Lennon was announced. I don't know if KT is one of them. HH.

What I fail to understand is that we are in a strong position financially yet we seem to be setting our value on Tierney very low.
For Arsenal to bid £15m for him is an insult but for us to value him at £25m looks way below his true value in my view. I have read people saying that players in our league can't command the same fees as similar players in the EPL but as we don't need to sell then he should only go on our terms.
There are reports that in this window we could lose McGregor and N'cham as well as Tierney if you add them to Dembele, and Boyata who we have lost in the last year you have to wonder what is going on within our club.
If it's the players who are all unhappy then we need to get to the bottom of why there is so much unrest, and if it's the board who are just chasing the cash, then they need to explain why they are weakening the playing squad to such a degree when there is no financial need to do so.
I accept that now and again we have to sell players, it's the way we operate, but we shouldn't be losing five good players in the space of a year, especially as in most of those cases we haven't got a replacement in.

I'm not going to open the NL debate all over again - too late for that - but there is an obvious polar difference in style and manner between our current and previous manager and it's quite possible he has not gone down well with some of the squad and performances in the latter part of the season may reflect that?
What's done is done and the Board must have gone into this with their eyes wide open (with the £ signs flashing) and a very good idea of who would be leaving for a good few months now; so they have absolutely no excuse for failing to replace these players with real quality and back their choice of manager with hard cash so he can build his own team and most importantly, continue domination.

Good points, Gerry. It begins to look like asset-stripping. What's the point in having a comfortable bank-balance when you just accept low-ball bids for players who are adored and seem happy to stay?

The only way this makes sense is if KT really feels that he must have a crack in order to develop: this is what BR said, recall, and its not surprising that others who shared the evident commitment begin to look around when the project falls apart.

Unfortunately we have been selling our best players to so called better leagues for a number of years now but we have the chance to make history not on a par with the lions but not far short and all approaches for our best players should be rejected until we achieve the ten or ultimately fail.

There are players who you could say may be hit or miss in the EPL but Tierney is not one of them. There's no reason he can't go on to become one of the very elite LB's in Europe. I wouldn't sell him for a penny less than £30M and even that would come with a substantial sell-on clause.

If he does want away I reckon he’s seen wee Andy Robertson’s avhievements and fancied it . Please stay Kieran.

Did he not want to leave for Everton last summer and they pulled out?

Board have their work cut out to "come out of the window stronger" with the likes of KT, Boyata, Benkovic, Lustig, Ntcham all likely to have left this window. We have problem areas as it is but if we sell our best assets then we should be replacing them to a similar standard or better or we're only going backwards.
