My thoughts on the Turnbull saga are the only winner is Peter Lawwell, once again he can turn round to us fans and say "guys I tried but they wanted too much" Pedro will be laughing his head off.
I also think my worse fears are being realised that Lennon is a puppet on Pedro's string and can be manipulated anyway Lawwell wants.
Lawwell will give Lennon money, but sadly it will be cheap alternatives.
But we fans must take our share of the blame, as we keep letting skinflint Lawwell away with it.
Do not buy club merchandise until our club is properly funded by decent players and not "projects" or loans we need first team ready players to come in.

Celtic should concentrate on bringing through their own youth players and try to buy any exceptional young player that catches their eye, we should look on 9inarow as a bonus, not as a be all and end all, the whole focus should be on making Celtic a great European level team, this could be achieved by developing our own young players rather than buying overpriced, overrated established players.

I think we were onto a hiding-to-nothing with this latest 'dizzy'.
The media had hyped this player up so much - knowing we were the only Scottish club capable of signing him - even though other playing positions are our priority. Celtic took the bait; although to their credit matched the asking price - meanwhile the ominously silent player and his scheming agent obviously had no intention of joining Celtic and manipulated a publicity stunt to get more cash and a move to 'cash-cow country'.
We apparently offered an extremely good package to a 19 year old that may now have other young players speed-dialing their agents?
The whole thing has left a bad taste and the Board should want to save face and hopefully rectify this with better business acumen.
The euphoria of a treble-treble has been slightly clouded by the management appointment anti-climax and this non-transfer debacle, so it really is in the clubs best interest to be very pro-active.

Guys i have been over critical of mr lawell in the past, but we need to wait till the window closes then give him pelters if it is a disaster. we are on the brink of infamy here and its down to mr lawell and the board. have patience lads. all will be good. hh.

Timalloy you don't half talk a lot of tom kite! Letting Lawwell away with what? Doing his job properly? Celtic are run the way a club should be run and have been so since Fergus McCann came in. Lawwell will quite rightly be laughing his head off at a 19 year old's wage demands. I suppose it's Lawwell's fault for the dross Rodgers signed aswell? So we should stop buying club mercandise because Rodgers signed dross but you think it's Lawwell's fault and we should should starve the club of funds? I can't take you serious anymore😂😂 Lennon wasn't my first choice but Peter Lawwell made the correct decision in walking away from the Mcginn and Turnbull deals. Looking at the position of the club on and off the park it seems Lawwell has been making a lot of correct decisions. Your critisisim of him is way OTT and you should stick to your fairytale's of ex bear's and a suit👍.

Lawwell cost us £30m just last year with his messing up our transfer window buys, his faffing and lowball offers cost us dear.
Also I think you will find that Mr Bankier with his financial experience has kept Celtic on an even financial footing.

If we indeed offered turnbull a wage in line with the likes of wanyamas and VVD when they first signed then for a guy who has played 1 full season in professional football that’s good enough for me. Like most I’ve slaughtered lawwell in the past but in this instance I think the club were right not to be held to ransom for a 19 year old with 1 good season behind him. I’ve no doubt his wage would’ve risen as he progressed, that’s if he indeed had went on and proved he could handle playing at a club our size. This is just another reason for the Lennon haters to jump on the band wagon almost waiting in anticipation of the implosion. Get behind the board, the team and Lennon. Signings will happen, and if they don’t then at the end of the window criticise the board, the windows just opened.

Tim u been listening to your ex bear pals too much that its getting to you.
A club that's just broke transfer record last season, paid a manager 3m a year, got Shved in early, spent serious money on Ntcham, Sinclair and big loan deals for Benko Weah and Burke last few years doesn't sound like penny pinching.

That's 10-15m players been playing for us and while not all been great we simply can't afford to buy them so at least they trying to get quality in, some will come some wont.
CL is everything nowadays to attract players.
Jesus guys we really need to stop moaning every time we don't get a player we just won a treble treble and living in dreamland.
Imagine being a sevconian right now that will bring u back down to earth lol.

I don't blame PL for the Turnbull saga at all quite rightly walked away IMO PL I am sure claimed he hopes to have 2 or 3 new players in for the end of the month so I will give him that time to see what he comes up with.

we should concentrate on bringing on our young players, & buying outstanding youth . 9 and 10 in a row are a must and having created history we can then hope to progress further in Europe . Under current European se-ups it's virtually impossible for a team like Celtic playing in a league like SPL to constantly achieve any type of European success.
