That announcement has ruined today for me.

And the club were well aware of how we all felt about this. In pretty much every scenario you would see “Neil Lennon has signed a 1 year contract” for example, the club wouldn’t normally release anything until a contract is signed. They wanted to get this information out as quickly as possible, hoping people used the cup win to gloss over the poor appointment. So quickly that they couldn’t even wait until a contract is signed.

This is a very poor decision and anyone who convinces themselves Lennon is the best we could get is delusional.

Andy, I am totally gutted NL looks like getting the job. Celtic have F? cked the fans again. Really poor timing to make this announcement.

I really did not see this coming I still don't understand if this was the plan why we didn't announce it ages ago makes no sense to me.

Pure PR, they think we're all mugs, and will be so swept away in the hysteria of the day that we won't notice the club downsizing before our eyes.

That's the game, good to see everyone taking a positive attitude and getting behind the new manager.

Can’t believe the response to this. Lenny was my first choice but I can understand that some of you wanted a flashy ‘big name’ manager. That’s your opinion and you’re entitled to it. What I don’t understand is the negativity towards the appointment now that it’s been made. This is Celtic, he’s the manager, get behind him.

COYBIG, I’ll get behind Lennon 100% as I would’ve whoever got the job. The problem I have with this is Lennon left 1st time round because of frustration with the board and signings etc, what makes it different this time around? I just hope before agreeing to take the job Lennons stood his ground with lawwell etc and got certain assurances that he will be heavily backed in the transfer market. Watching that game today AGAIN another lacklustre performance. Absolutely delighted we got the treble treble but on the performance, it was shocking again. This team have been magnificent past 3 seasons especially, but a blind man can see they’re on their knees and in desperate need of freshening up. Let’s hope that happens, because it has too. and no more 3 day piss ups for the players before rangers games.

If Lennon changed his name to Neilliho franscicus lennoniho and had never managed a team before these clowns would be jumping through hoops

Lennon delivered before, shoved the rats team and tactics over the line for another treble and will deliver 10inar.

Yeah because Brendan Rodgers has a fancy sounding name doesn't he? Martin O;neill? No it's a manager with a European class CV we wanted, not a fancy name. To the same extent, if they had announced Teresa May as the new manager some clowns would be demanding we get behind it without question.

People are saying they are disappointed with the appointment of Lennon. The guy came in when Rogers jumped ship at the first chance and he managed to get over the line in the league and won the cup. What more can he do? Think he deserves a bit more credit. Yes it's not the big fancy name we were hoping for but the last one left us high and dry in 24 hrs. Regardless of who the next manager was going to be before the announcement was made, unless the board back him it doesn't matter who they are. Lennon is now in charge and needs to be backed. He always said this wasn't his side so let's see what he does now.
