Not that important now but just been hearing the outcry from the Sevies about Flannigans yellow been upped to a red. Instead of saying we got lucky, we kept 11 men on the park for 90 mins when we should of been down to 10, they are coming out with they're all out to get us. Jeezo it must be the most blatant red card of the season. Anyway what's the ruling when this kind of incident happens when the balls not in play? Can a pen be awarded?

Ball was in the air from the corner kick when the ref whistled, no doubt whatsoever about that!

They're even claiming they're being victimised as jozo isn't being hauled up for an elbow I must have missed that incident.

@LeedsCelt - The ref may have blown the whistle after the corner had been taken but the incident definetly happened before the ball was in play.

The sevconians in my work never even mentioned it and I was giving them plenty about the wife beater hitting broony.

To say the wasn't in play is nothe completely accurate and could be argued. I understand what this means. . HOWEVER that ball was not in the corner area designated for such things. It was actually outside the corner area and on the actual field if play do technically on the pitch which would mean in play.
